Group Interest Question(s): Would you participate in a 10 week Group Build anniversary event?

Last 17 August, Björn reminded the Hyperscale Airfix/Matchbox/Frog forum that it was turning 9. This year is thus 10 years of the sub-forum. Congratulations and Thank-you for participating in such a successful forum! I’m almost too late to suggest celebratory ideas to the Forum.

Are forum members generally up for a 10 week Airfix/Matchbox/Frog concentrated build? (ends 17 Aug; 10 years). Recognize it’s running beside the RAF100 GB.  If this concept is popular: This GB would need to start this Friday, 08 June.

Call it your 10 week, 10 year anniversary build contribution 10for10GB. "That classic from your stash"; maybe 10 years old or more. No extra special rules: go to stash, select and build the classic you haven’t built yet (that otherwise complies with the forum.) The RAF100 anniversary GB is also running and complimentary subject matter may abound!

PLEASE RESPOND with interest level; even negatively.  Looks like a typical post gets well over 300 “hits” and less than 20 responses.

I don´t build kits since 1992 but I could show my Airfix/Matchbox/Frog planes I built in the 80´s if that´s ok.

Count me in. I have a couple of kits that I started a long time ago and this might be what I need to finish them. I will also throw in a kit or two for a raffle at the end of the GB.

Oh all right! I think, twist my arm,  I could find something since I have about 160 Airfix/FROG/Matchbox kits in the stash and a couple started.
Perhaps we should restrict it to only kits that were available 10 years ago? That would include all FROG and Matchbox but none of the new Red boxers in the Airfix range.
Only  suggestion mind you Erik .

Very good Fred,
I have just the project.
Classic Matchbox and a project that has sat on my shelves for well over ten years (probably approaching twenty).
You've provided the grounds to drag it down and get it finished.

Good response so far. I feel we need a few more positive responses before declaring a 10for10GB (10 week 10th Anniversary Group Build).[Maybe switch to "10thA GB"?]

loigres: Of course you can post pictures of your earlier Airfix/Matchbox/Frog builds. I think that sharing classic kit builds is a big part of this forum.
Björn: It is very gracious of you to raffle a prize if we proceed. Thank – you!
Graham, Fred, callsign, AlbatrosPete; Glad to have your interest.

There is plenty of credit to go around. For example; Björn reminded us of the anniversary last August. Maybe the GB has bonus accolades for those who work ten/10 of something directly into their build? Be creative: It’s a bonus of accolades.

I just purchased an Airfix Handley-Page 0/400. It would qualify for this GB and the RAF100 GB.
Count me in!

Adios, Larry.
