I found some references to PB-1 detachments in Tsingtao, China 1947-1949. Does anyone have references to color schemes and markings? This is a sample PB-1W (maybe bare metal, maybe aluminum lacquer?) taken in the same time frame. Any idea if they switched over to blue before 1950? Also what is the color of the hub? Many thanks

I don't think I've ever seen an overall GSB Duck before, but that's sure what it looks like in the background!

What I find interesting in the photo, it still has the lower nose gun turret, and the top turret, and has drop tanks between the outboard and inboard engine nacelles.

And yes that looks to be GSB in the background Lynn.

This one states: "Boeing XPB-1W Fortress c 1945"
