I'm blown away at the effect that a lot of you produce. I use enamels, and just don't seem to "have it" when it comes to that skill. What's my best option considering I use an enamel finish? I've read so much on it I'm blind(er).

draw them in with a mechanical pencil .5mm for panels and .8mm for flying controls, flaps etc
the blend them in with what ever colour i choose, usually a dk grey or olive drab shade, or fade them a bit by lightly going over with the base colour. i brush paint btw but i guess you could do it with airbrush.
hope this helps

Hi Brian,

My sequence is pretty much like John's, and of course it's just one technique among many, depending upon what result you are after. Alas, your reply to John did not compute for me, as they say. What did you mean? A bit more explanation might prove enlightening for many.

Thanks, Jim
