From Monogram in 1/48th scale built OOTB and brushpainted using Silver #11 from Humbrol and covered with two light coats of Future liquid floor wax. Decals are from Micro Scale.

The model is for a P-38L Lightning of 431th FS, 475th FG, 5th Air Force based at Laé New Guinea,December 1944. The pilot was Major Thomas.B.McGuire
