Very cool.

And yes it's all real. No cgi afaik but wonder why there are so few people looking out their hs/apt windows at the commotion?? Rolling CHP traffic break early one weekend morning on the Bay Bridge for two quick takes. They paid the city a mil for the permits and off duty cops. Prod comp had to hire SF city street dept workers to steam clean off ALL the donut marks afterwards.

Big deal, that's how I drive to work every day.

Probably nobody around(at least on the street) because they wanted to avoid any possible injuries and massive insurance payments.

I'd sure be lookin' out my living rm bay window come the Big Day.

The stuff in the busy areas of town/downtown were filmed early weekend/hoilday mornings but the stuff in the residential parts of SF, prob later in the day, so as to not wake people. Geez, even w/ two income families (pretty much a given in $$$$$ SF!) and the kids at school, those neighborhoods still ain't ghost towns.

That's why I thought they may have cgi'd people out of the picture. Yeah I'm sure locals weren't at street level, even w/ all the temp barriers, say during that cool airbourne sideways turn that could have quickly turned into a NASCAR type tumbling/barrel rolling car.

Crookedest Street in SF. In the SE part of town, just N and across the 101 Fwy from SF General Hospital. Not as pretty, toney or visited as the much more famous one up N 3-4 miles but the turns are tighter and too the locals prob don't have powerful lawyers to stop any filming.

I take visitors to both. I've lived in the SF area for a 100 yrs and just learned 10-15 yrs ago. I worked just a mile away for ten yrs too.

Knew of all the good burrito/taco joints in the area tho.

but you can tell by the skid marks that there were at least half a dozen for some portions. Still some pretty amazing drift driving.
