Here's my 1/72 MPM Douglas DB 8A-N3 built OOB.

All done but the prop...I have it painted except for the red, white and blue stripes...and I need to paint and install the small spinner.

Hope you like it, I'll take some glamour shots when its all done this week.

Very neat work Joe, and the standard of finishing is outstanding.

Now, where's that Fokke D.XXI I never finished...?

Cheers,

Andrew

I like it - something we don't see so much - great finish, love the wingtip lights

I have to re-do the wing roundels as I managed to apply them incorrectly...I'll post some gallery pics when she's all finished up.

Hi Joe,

I hope you look at this even though it's been a while. What a nice paint job! I always have trouble getting the colors right on that scheme but you nailed it. Such nice airbrushing too.

Top drawer!!!

I have re-done the wing markings since these pics as I managed to apply them incorrectly. I have her pretty much finished up now and will post some glamour shots soon. The colors were fairly extensively researched and I came fairly close I think. I used Tamiya Flat Brown XF-10, White Ensign Models French "Vert Moyen" or medium green, and finally my own mix of tan that started with PollyScale's US Desert Storm Tan. The color call outs that MPM gives are completely wrong IMHO.

The tan should be something close to FS 26360 according to my research...actually even a bit more Beige than I have here.

Hope that helps!

Joe
