I saw an advance screening of this on Thursday and have to say that it's a fantastic film - and definitely not the typical slasher film that one might expect, and very funny to boot. I won't give any of the plot away (it's much better to go in without knowing what it's really about), but will unreservedly recommend it to those who like smart horror films. It's only somewhat a horror film, however, and certainly not in the same genre as the slasher and 'torture porn' films that typify the genre today (in fact, it pokes fun at them). It reminds me more of movies like "An American Werewolf in London" and "the Evil Dead 2."
Has anybody else here seen it yet?
...but I won't see it in the theater because my wife is not into the genre. When it makes it to HBO and DVD, I might check it out.
