Monogram 1/104 PBY-5A. Finito!

My latest nostalgia build is finished. Construction notes are  in the earlier post.

Based on a color photo in Squadron’s “Golden Wings” book. Paint and markings are from the Aleutian Islands campaign, winter 1942-43.

Brush-painted with White Ensign enamels. National insignia by Techmod Decals

She turned out great Larry. I've never heard of the paints you used.

Nicely done.  I wouldn't have been able to brush paint that scheme that well.  And those leading edges are spiffy.  Did you mask the leading edges?  

I like this one.  I may have to do one of my own in 1/144.  Just don't hold your breath until I get to it.  :-)

I like this one.  I may have to do one of my own in 1/144.  Just don't hold your breath until I get to it.  :-)

The de-icer boots were masked with thin strips of Tamiya masking tape. Everything else was brush/painted freehand including the frames on the clear parts. Adios, Larry.
