Cleaning up a few lingering projects. As noted many time before, the Minicraft Connie is not one of their better kits, The overall shape is ok, but the kit lacks surface detail. These are my 4th and 5th builds of this kit, so they go together a little faster at this stage. The primary effort was scribing the panel lines and making new props:

Fantastic Connie builds Carl, the best I've ever seen. You really brought that 20 year old kit to life.

Hi!
Where I grew up, in the 1950s and early 60s we were on the flight paths to Kennedy and Newark  Airports and would have prop-liners and the newer (yuck!) jets fly over all day. Those were the days when you could tell what was flying over by the sound(s) the aircraft made. The Connie had the sweetest sound, and it was obvious when one was overhead. Today I live near the flight path of Orlando Airport, and the jets all sound alike. Too bad.
