I normally use Copydex latex glue for paper and fabric as a mask.

Unlike many model masks it does not skip over gloss surfaces and is a hell of a lot cheaper.

I ran out and tried an unused bottle of Micromask.

What unspeakable stuff it is. It would not adhere to the gloss paint and getting the stuff off was a challenge to say the least.

I have filed it under B for bin.

Anyone else had the problem?

I can not assist you with your question but may I trouble you for details about the copydex you use? Do you purchase it at a business store such as office max?
