Does anyone make an inch and a half, to two inch white metal USS Nimitz. Anything in that range would be perfect for my needs. The smaller the better actually.

I believe in god and the only thing that scares me,,,,,,is Keyser Soze.

Nimitz 1:1 length = 1092' (13104")

1:2400 length = 5.46"

for a 2" long Nimitz, look for something that is 1:6550 or smaller.

HTH!

Cheers,
Alex

So a 1/2400 Nimitz Class CV would be about 5 inches long. Having been into wargaming for as long as I've been into models, I can tell you there are a few models smaller than this, but precious few and I do not remember seeing (although memory is NO indication of fact) a 1/3000 scale Nimitz class CV.

Superior makes a 1/2400 Nimitz class CV that sells for under $20, whereas the GHQ version is about $10 bucks more. If interested try this websire:

http://www.alnavco.com/warship.htm

Doing a little more checking, NavWar makes a 1/3000 Nimitz (which would be around 4 inches give or take). You can see their available models here:

http://www.navwar.co.uk/nav/default.asp

You may also try here:

There are also reported to be 1/4800 & 1/6000 naval miniatures, but I am not sure of their availability. 1/6000 might be exactly the thing you are looking for, as that would work out to around 2 inches for a Nimitz class ship.

...so a 1/1200 miniature would be what you need.

edit - did the math -

Nuclear Enterprise (CVN-65) - 11.697"

WWII Enterprise (CV-6) - 8.59"
