AFAIK, Academy has both, they are using the old Tamiya molds from the early 70's.  Could be some more out there as well.

The one you really want is Bandai's 4256-3200 kit, listed as 1/24. I built one years ago, the best by far of all the "big" kits, full interior, link-and-pin tracks, but terrible decals; I did mine in winter whitewash to avoid using most of them. My impression is they're hard to find and expensive, but you might get lucky, anywhere but eBay.

The Bandai kit goes for about $300 now...  I actually have all three of the 1/24 or 25 Panthers - Tamiya, newer Academy Ausf. G and Bandai.  None are great. I would say the newer Academy kit (not their copy of the old Tamiya Ausf. A) is the most accurate overall. But a lot of the detail is soft or simple. The rubber tracks are poor. The Bandai interior is pretty sparse and nothing to write home about. The tracks are pretty good. Its not a bad kit either but I don't know if it is worth the money it goes for. I think the Jagdpanther by Bandai is a bit better.  Remember those kits came out in the 70s so they are nowhere near today's quality kits.   The Tamiya kit is the poorest, as is the Minicraft/Academy copy of the Tamiya kit. Not to be confused with Academy[s own kit.

I just bought it on Saturday at the Polk Area Modelers Society IPMS show. Paid $30 which was a steal since it usually goes for $100 plus. It has been OOP a few years now.  Your best bet , outside of eBay, is to hit model shows and swap meets. At this weeks show at the very first table, my friend found the Minicraft/Academy  1/25 Jagdpanther that he had been looking for for $50 and on the same table I found the Minicraft/Academy Panther A and Minicraft G for $30 each.   For a long time too my local Hobbytown had the Tamiya reissue of the Panther on mark down 30% and it just sat and sat.  We went to get that one one day and it was gone, so someone else got a good deal there.
