A lot more detail than I've seen before here

http://images.google.com/hosted/life/1c ... 3c197.html

http://images.google.com/hosted/life/25 ... a99e6.html

http://images.google.com/hosted/life/38 ... e500c.html

A couple B-32's too:
http://images.google.com/hosted/life/0f ... c5523.html

"The Dragon And His Tail":
http://images.google.com/hosted/life/4d ... 788e1.html

Sharkmouth and a lady:
http://images.google.com/hosted/life/16 ... f0fbe.html

The end result:
http://images.google.com/hosted/life/0e ... fada6.html

Quite a bit more nudity than I think I've ever seen on WW2 noseart before; I guess these are the ones the AF press office deliberately avoided. I can't imagine Life could have published these photos, though.

As to nudity, you would be absolutely astonished at some of the stuff I've run into in the LIFE archives...

I'm frequently amazed at some of the stuff these guys photographed (more in the "what does this have to do with the story" context than anything.)

I've seen decals for this B-24 with the dragon done in greens, and others with the dragon in greys.

Which is more accurate?
