In all of the various discussions I have seen of LA area hobby shops, I had not seen this shop mentioned. I'll make sure to drop in when I'm visiting the Iowa in a few months.

I'll have to check them out- just over the hil of Palos Verdes from here. Having lost The Military Shop, I'm still looking for a new hobby "home".

Cheers!

I'd happily drive 50 or so miles one way to visit a shop like that.

sigh.....I can only dream of having a local hobby shop such as this. The owner seems pretty decent and knows his customers. I am an hour and a half from any hobby shop and that one is half-assed to boot.

You have the hobby shop at the corner of PCH and Crenshaw, at the north end of the mall, near the Acura dealer. Still better than Hobby People.

It really is a Hobby Shop Different. I have always been greeted as I walked in. (this simple jesture starts to open my wallet). This was my third trip to the store. There is a lot of things to see. Their prices are a bit higher, but you are you going to find all the things we crave. Look hard and you will find some rare kits, and don't be afraid to ask. There is cool stuff everywhere.

My only problem is that I have six accounts on S.Pacific Ave. (the cross street), that I must see monthly. There goes my commission check, again. And now a battleship! Wow!

Recommended.

A cluttered and messy hobby store, so you think there has to be a pony(model) in there somewhere. Something buried behind something else that everyone has missed. He comes to our model swap meets as a buyer, looking for deals. He seems very friendly.

Its about an hour north of JD's. A lot of diecast cars and aircraft, models hanging from the ceiling, and some old kits that you can see, but not touch. Its near the 5 freway in Burbank, of course. They also have a website.
