Hi Brett, Is it possible to have some kind of indication if I have already read a particular post/thread. Perhaps the text of the title has gone from bold to normal text?

TIA

Don't threads with new posts that you haven't yet read show the vertical blue bar at the left, in the list page?  And once you read a thread and return to the list of threads, that bar is hidden for that post.

Best regards,

Hi Brad. I've discovered that, unlike some of the other forums like Britmodeller and ARC, returning to the topic list via your browser back arrow won't mark the thread read -- you have to use the link at the bottom of the page: "<Return to topic list." Hope that works for you.

That makes sense-the original page state is probably buffered, and using the browser back button returns you to that buffered page.  Clicking the link to return, or posting a reply, reload the list page and it picks up the change.  If a person clicks the browser back button, and then clicks to refresh the page, that should present the new page state, too, ie, the thread is read.

You're right, though, some forums handle the change successfully.
