Does anyone make a long wing conversion for the Hobby Boss 1/48 IAR-80?

"Long wing" I.A.R.80/81

There were a number of aircraft with long wings: I.A.R.80-B (13.2 mm machine guns) , I.A.R.80 (Ikaria cannons) and I.A.R.81-C (Mauser cannons). Each of these types had different access panels of wing weapons, so they are not all the same. All aircraft fitted with a long wing also had long noses - there is a 70 mm difference at the firewall. There were also some internal changes, such as head armour, instrument panels. So, it would take some effort to convert the Hobby Boss kit into later types. A resin conversion may not be cheap either. Hopefully a good kit may appear at some stage.

Radu
