see that there are Revell, and Minicraft versions available. Which would you choose ans why? Other versions available?

Thanks for your help.

hands down would be Revell's. The Minicraft is one of their early efforts, and while their later airliners are very good (especially their DC-8s) their early ones are poor. The Minicraft Connie could be made into a reasonable desk-top display if you can find a stand for it, but it lacks the detail in Revell's.

better and more crisp detail.
The older Revell USA issue suffers from being 30ish years old.

As the friends say above, Revell is the better choice, more detailed than the Minicraft's one.

The Revell Connie is more detailed, better engines, gear Etc, but the cockpit windows are too small (which you may be able to fix using decals) & the wings look like they suffer from no dihedral, the Minicraft kit is pretty basic I think they copied the Heller with it’s odd nose shape, Dana Kopher made a really nice resin upgrades for the MC Kit better engines & a whole new nose but he stopped selling them last year, both Frank Cuden & Carl Knable have used the MC kit & made some stunners but the revel kit will be an easier built , here’s a 144th Connie kit discussion at the Airliner Café,http://www.airlinercafe.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=7088
