Im a big VTOL fan and have been wanting a kit of the Yak 38
in 1/48 for some time. Hobby Boss - I wish it was from
someone else but at least its being done will soon be
releasing the Yak 38 in 1/48.

Click on the Yak to take you to its page and then use the
thumbnail navigation bar and you'll find images of the kit
parts, from the way the fuselage and nose have been designed
it looks like we may also get a two seater someday.

I have enough trouble fitting a vacu-form canopy
I've never been bold enought to buy - let alone
try to build - a vacu-form kit!

Im sure I speak for all the VTOL (and Russian
aircraft) fans when I say a heartfelt "thank you"
for starting work on the "Wings 48" kit. For as
we all know once someone starts work on a project
like that a mainstream manufacturer will release
it as a full-blown injection kit! Your sacrifice
is our gain!

I'm not a big Hobby Boss fan, it's to much of a
hit and miss company, but this is one I wont pass
on.

sold it at a show when I heard this was coming. I had all the major components cut out and sanded but didn't want to hassle with all the detail parts that would have to be scratch built. Since seeing "Red Dawn" as a kid I've wanted to build one of these...I always thought a cool diorama might be of one sitting parked on a stretch of I93/Southeast Expressway in Boston where I grew up.

The Boston idea sounds good - you could add a
Boston road sign with the Tamiya 1/48 Hummer
wrapped around it!
