Hopefully it will keep that price in the US. All things considered, and in comparison to other kits, a good price point.

There is no such thing as an unbuildable kit, just some kits one may consider not worth building.

Ive realized that most people ... tend not to be direct when they feel something is shoddy because they want to be liked, "which is actually a vain trait".

I'm sure Tamiya will sell tens of them since the very good AM one is cheaper. Of all the AC that go begging for a new issue, Tamiya releases this. What a non money maker.

Yeah, they must have took a beating on those unwanted 1/32 kits they did recently. Not to mention model kits are not their bread and butter. People will buy this(especially in Japan and surrounds) just because it's made by Tamiya.

The Accurate Miniatures kit can be built into a award winning model, it is gorgeous out of the box with nothing to dress it up. BUT.... it is one of the hardest kits in creation to build. I love the Il-2 and want to build a few, but the one crack I took at the AM kit had to be the most miserable modeling experiences I ever had. I literally crushed that mother to pieces eventually after the umpteenth modeling crisis with it. I took the rest of the stash of AM Il-2s I had to the shop for resale. A friend of mine finally picked one of my old ones up and built it - beautifully - but it had him tearing his hair out too.

There's a reason you see so few of them built.
