I feel like I should be buying everything I want and don't have! I restrained myself, and bought only a Bronco flag for my schnellboot, and the Hitchcock TA-152 book. But.... I wanna spend, spend, SPEND!!!

I always had good service from them and I appreciated the oddball stuff they carried (like Azur-FFROM). I hope that continues with Sprue Brothers.

Meanwhile I went through GM's website like Sherman through Georgia.

Humpty Dumpty was pushed.

... the Airfix Valiant is now on sale at $40.15.
Sprue Brothers already lists it at $40.99.
Started to look for others on my want list; gave up after eight of the first ten weren't in stock.
Good luck.

If you were selling a business, would you keep a high stock level?

I've always liked GMW: good service, slow shipping, but reasonable prices, sometimes GREAT prices. Not so much now, but they use to throw in "ringers" or loss leaders in their sales. When they were still pretty new issue, for example, I got a FW 200 Condor from Trumpeter for (if memory serves) either 65, or 69 dollars. I got a Trumpeter Br52 Locomotive and tender for roughly the same price, as well as a Lexington and a Hancock (1/350) for roughly the same price.

That's a helluva lot of good prices on then recent-issue kits..

I always found their customer service folks easy to work with, and I like their website structure better than ANYBODY's, plus there are review links.

I despise using Squadron's site, I like Squadron as a vendor, but I hate their website. I've not dealt with Sprue Brothers but understand them to be top-drawer.

Another big vendor down... the hobby is dying gents...

For what it's worth..

Just picked up a bunch of accessories, and for a lot cheaper than Sprue/Squadron

Sorry to see them go, never had a problem with GWM, they've always been good to me
Builder of clean 3 footers, and the occasional 1 footer...
