I looked at the "Whats new" about the Swann-Morton blades and handles. Interesting. Maybe something better than good old Xacto.
I followed some links to the USA distributor. When I tried to visit there with my browser I got:
So does anyone at Hyperscale or Spencer Pollard know what this is about?
I tried to connect using TenFourFox (a variant of Firefox for older Macs) and got this warning:
"The owner of www.cincinnatisurgical.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, TenFourFox has not connected to this website."
Upon further investigation, I learned that Cincinnati Surgical's security certificate was issued to cssurgicalproducts.com. So your browser and mine are concerned because the name on the certificate is not an exact match to the domain name (cincinnatisurgical.com). That's the only issue. The certificate is a blanket certificate that covers several domain names, including cincinnatisurgical.com, but our browsers are not smart enough to realize that.
I had to create a "Security Exception" in my browser to allow me to access the site, and I'm pretty sure you can do the same thing in Safari. I've ordered from Cincinnati Surgical myself in years past and never had a problem. The security certificate was just issued and is good for two years. You're okay.
By the way, I highly recommend the Bard-Paker #6 scalpel handle. I think that's the same handle Paul Budzik recommends in one of his extremely informative videos.
