Forthcoming 1/48 Great Wall Hobby P-61A - Clear Nose, Turret and Corrections

Hi all,

Great Wall Hobby has sent information and images of their next aircraft model kit - a clear-nose version of the P-61A Black Widow with a top turret.

In addition to the different parts for the new version, Great Wall Hobby has advised that there will be significant revisions included in this kit:

- Corrected rear canopy framing

- Corrected cockpit canopy framing

- Revised interior details

- New tool propeller and spinner

- New tool engine cowlings

- New magnetos and cylindrical crank cases

More information will be available in the coming weeks.

........and I am happy to see all the revisions they have made. Good thing I didn't stock up on replacement cowls and whatnot in advance.

Definitely grab a couple of these and pretty happy they have retooled he props etc.
Seems they have big ears and pockets to listen..

They listen to the modelers. Only big niggle I think they haven't fixed it the fin to boom transition.

Still good to see they are doing this.

At least they admit their errors and CORRECT them at next release!!

Wouldn't it be GREAT if all kit mfgrs did!!!???

I'll buy their kits JUST to support them!!!

If they included two of each item revised in this kit, in order to benefit the ones who bought the first version of the P-61 !

I mean, if you buy the new glass nose aircraft, you receive parts for upgrade the previous kit you already have.

This way, Great Wall would reward people who trust them acquiring the first model, and also increase the interest for the modeler to have BOTH kits instead the corrected one.

What do you think? Shouldn't we email them with this suggestion?
