F-4J twin Zuni rocket launcher question

I am planning to build the F-4J from VMFA-212 that Fox One Decals shows on their sheet. I cannot find anywhere that VMFA-212 served in Vietnam. Would anyone have information on this squadron serving in Vietnam? It is the last one shown in the picture below.

Would anyone know if the F-4J carried the twin Zuni rockets? I know they carried the quad Zuni rocket pod but not sure if the F-4J carried the twin ones. I also know the F-4B carried the twin Zuni pods in SE Asia. Would the twin Zuni pod be a viable load for the F-4J?

Thanks for any help you could provide.

The Lancers took the F-4J on deployment from MCAS K Bay to SEA in April 1972. Not sure about the twin Zuni launchers. HTH Darren

Someone sent me a link to a VMFA-232 F-4J with the twin Zuni launcher on it. Not the squadron I was looking for but it is still helpful as it shows it loaded on the F-4J.

Not my picture. Found on the internet. Hyperscale won't let me post the link.

... those are 4-rocket pods, not twins.

I have never seen twin Zuni launchers on the Phantom. They mount like Sidewinder missile rails, but the design of the Phantom pylons does not really support that layout.

Like Treance I only seen them on the USMC B', and only on the inside rail mount Looks neat.

the section I blew up you can see the twin Zuni attached to the inner Sidewinder rail just above the four round pod.

Lou Drendel's USMC Phantoms in Combat book shows a few F-4B's with the twin Zuni pods from 1967/68.

Here is a link to ARC which shows an F-4J with te twin tube launcher. Scroll to post number 8 near the bottom and you will see a VMFA-232 F-4J on the tarmac with the twin tube launcher on it.
