F-4E Phantom II unslatted wing---1/72 scale

Where can I find a 1/72 scale kit for the early F-4E that served in Vietnam without
the slatted wing. I am looking at doing Paper Tiger II and think it got it's
Mig kill before the slatted wings were added. I am thinking that the program
for those updates started in the summer of 1972. Does Hasegawa or Fujimi
make an unslatted F-4E? Or do I have to use a wing from another kit? Thanks---John

The Hasegawa JASDF F-4EJ kits are the hard wing versions.

Thanks, I never realized that, do they also have the short barrel?
So does the F-4EJ Kai have the slatted wing?I don't think so.
Need to buy one or the other. Thanks---John

The old, old Hasegawa (like about 1973) 1/72 kit has both the hard wing and the short cannon fairing.  Link just for illustration purposes, not connected to the seller.

Hello Murph,
I may have a few of the F-4EJ Hasegawa kits if you are still looking for one. My e-mail is rbatykefer_jr AT hotmail DOT com. Let me know. God bless.

I had that old 2nd generation Hasegawa kit with the hard wing
and both long and short barrel. It was rather funky looking, not
at all like today's Hasegawa kits. There  is a build review of it on
Modelling Madness. I think I'll go with the F-4EJ that Murph
suggested to me. Thanks for all the info.---John

Bear in mind the wing tips from an EJ might be incorrect for an early E. This is the case in 1/48.
