The shipping charges will kill you. I get my cases from a guy who supplies them to my local hobbyshop. He does all the work at home and is top notch and prices are more then reasonable. He made a case for my 1/200 Arizona complete with wood base for $95.00.

I had a plexi case with artificial sea floor custom made locally for my 1/96th scale USS Wichita, far larger than your tub for $200.00 including delivery by the maker right to my front door.
I guess it is people like you who keep the economy flowing.......

A 1/200 Battleship is not tiny. Actually your ship should be twice as big so your case is twice as big and at $200 cost twice as much.

Here's a $95.00 case with wood base that measures 40 inches long by 13 tall and 12 deep that was made for a 1/96 th scale USS Monadnock. I showed you mine. Now you show me yours!

were $440.00+ AND the delivery, 200ish was a good price. How big is the Arizona?? A bit bigger than the 350 Tamiya New Jersey? A case 40"X8"x15" tall finished should cost less than that. Heck, that is no different than building an aquarium. At 95 bucks I would just buy the stuff & make the case. How thick is the case for $95.00? 1/4" crap that wilts & warps after a while? Mine was 7/16" sides, 1" base and 5/16" top. It weighed more than the model which was fully R/C with lights, motors, transmission, sound modules, on-board camera, revolving turrets, bilge pumps, a RTV 12V battery and all radio gear plus the weight of the model itself.
Apples & oranges.

If you can send a picture to my email, you can go upload it to photobucket and present to the group.
