Hi Philip:

Here's a review I wrote of the kit many years ago:

I've got one that I would sell - email me if you're interested.

Cheers,

Scott

Typical short run kit, test fit, then test fit again. Big issues I remember include the main gear bays, which required sanding down the roofs until you could almost see through them, then sanding down and trimming the upper wing surface too until they fit. Also, the resin leading edge wing root ducts needed alot of fit-and-trim, though some of that was my fault. The resin nose cone was another problem area that took alot of fiddling to get centered up in the nose. Don't let this scare you off, though. Just take your time and pay attention to the fit and you'll end up with a neat model that will stand out of the sea of Mustangs, Spitfires, and Bf-109s

except for maybe the shape of the canopy base. i held onto my Wings 48 Dark Shark canopy in case i need it.

Try to get the Ginter book on the FR series if you can. Very useful.

it IS a limited run kit; not as good as say a Special Hobby Seafire XV, but miles better than some of the old Meikraft and Merlin stuff.
