For years there's been photos indicating that something like that scheme was used by that unit but the photos always showed tiny fragments that made it impossible to judge how the entire aircraft would've looked. This is truly a great find! Thanks for sharing!

But that might just be due to the light in different surfaces. 70, 71 and 02 would be the obvious choice but when all that experimenting was going on 61, 62 and 63 might well have been available and tried as well...

What is that, E-1 or 3?? I'm at work and this crappy 15" moniter sucks (who uses a 15 inch monitor anymore besides cheap employers!!)

I'll have to catch a better look after work...I got 1/2 dozen Emil's on the bench now looking for oddball schemes...this is right up my alley

It's shades of grey. They're B&W photos, and nobody on earth knows what the colors were, period. We can guess, but that's all we can do.
