I bought Consolidated Mess last night. My wife has a Kindle Fire she never used so she gives it to me. I get the book to open on the device but for the life of me I cannot get it to enlarge the print. I cannot believe for a minute I can't enlarge print on this device. I also tried it on my computer which I recalled has a Kindle app on it. Same deal@#$#@! I cannot get it to enlarge and finally tired and frustrated gave up and went to bed. what am I missing? I can't believe they expect old guys with bad eyes to look at something that small and I'd also like to be able to enlarge the pictures to look at. So what am I missing? My Daughter was brought in on this project so I texted her at school she suggested I use the aa up in the menu. I tried it on both devices and it said I could change the font and when I hit apply nothing happens. So guys I turn to you, what am I doing wrong?
Analog guy in a Digital World.
Max, I am no expert at all, being just a little bit above analog. Your daughter is right. The Aa in the menu should allow you to change font size. On my Kindle, a numbered line bar indicates the font size. Tapping on a larger number changes the size of the text immediately. Tapping the X in the upper right corner of the box closes it out and you are ready to go. There is no "Apply" or "Save" buttons to push.
Your Kindle Fire may be different from my Kindle Book.
Just for your information. I do not have the digital version, just the paper. That said, I have taken the F9F and F3H Detail and Scale and performed these functions on my Kindle, PC and Android Kindle App, with the font size changing as directed.
Why Consolidated Mess will not comply, I do not know. Something new and unknown to me. Good Luck. Maybe someone will have an answer or even more hopefully, Kindle or Amazon will respond to a customer service email (Presuming they have one), fix the problem and we will all live happily ever after.
