Hasegawa, Kinetic, Italeri (is that Kinetics?)...

I'm looking to do a F-86F-30 so that might limit the choices - is it possible at all.

Thanks

The Italeri kit has a great decal sheet that includes markings for two USAF,an Italian and a RAF aircraft.

usually the first I decide on. The one I want to do is an F-30. I looked at bit around on the net to find out the difference between F-40 and F-30, but couldn't really find any definitive answer. I notice that some kits are labelled as F-40, some F-30 and some just F. Perhaps the difference is not so big?

I did the Hasegawa kit a gazillion years ago, and I remember it as nice, but really wanted to know if the best kit was Hase or Kinetic.

Thanks
Thomas

The 1973 Hasegawa kit has the post-Korean War "F-40" wing, and the Kinetic/Italeri kit has the hard wing with the small mid-span fence. Those are the only two 1/32Sabre kits there are.

The F-40 wing was also longer, by about 2 feet IIRC- The difference being at the tips, just outboard of the ailerons
