A couple drawings and maps.
As I remember it was an okay read, more for the history than modeling, but it did have some interesting photos.
The other book by David Legg, Consolidated PBY Catalina - The Peacetime Record is truly a work of love, but as already stated, oriented towards post war use.
Having been in communication with Mr. Legg I was surprised to learn none of the book was done with the help of a computer, it was all first hand research and notes, truly amazing.
(I might also add David Legg is a crew member on Plane Sailings PBY-5A G-PBYA and Editor of The Catalina News, The Catalina Society).
The other PBY related books I have are :
Black Cats & Dumbos, WWII's Fighting PBYs by Mel Crocker
Black Cat Raiders, by Richard C. Knott
PBY The Catalina Flying Boat by Roscoe Creed
Those Navy Guys and Their PBYs by Elmer Freeman
Plus a few soft cover monographs like the Detail & Scale and In Actions.
I don't think the definitive book has been done on the PBY yet.
DO NOT confuse the two !
