... took to the air on November 7th. Very cool. Below is a quote from Kevin Kearney Vice President of the Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation

"Yesterday, (November 7, 2017), Boeing C-97 "Angel of Deliverance" lifted off from Floyd Bennett Field, becoming the last fixed wing aircraft to fly out of there.

It had an uneventful flight to MJX (Robert J. Miller Airpark) in Berkeley Township, NJ for a fuel and PR stop.
At about 1:15PM, the "Angel" took off again for Reading Regional Airport. At around 1:45, she touched down at Reading ending yet another trouble free flight.

Takeoff video from Floyd Bennett Field can be seen here:

What's next? Flight training, we are still going to need to acquire more spares, and we are looking for a permanent home.

What do we need? Funding Funding Funding!

Enjoy the video!

There are more videos and photos on our Facebook page.."

It can now join the C-54/R5D "Spirit of Freedom"
