This is Amodel's Do-26 V-2. The smooth lines and colour scheme of this aircraft really attracted me to it, and as such will be doing the box art scheme.

Construction is well underway. All sub assemblies have been built, cockpit, engine nacelles, wings, tailplanes. They have all been sanded, puttied and primed.

After puttying up seam lines, I always spray them with Tamiya Flat Black, which really shows up any missed spots.

I generally always dip the clear parts in future before I do anything to model. This allows for good drying an curing time, and also makes the part ready for use as soon as I need them.

Looks good!!
A-Model did some very nice kits. I built their Dornier Do-18 some years ago, and of course as soon as I got it finished Matchbox came out with an injection molded kit!  :-(

Never fails!

Have done some work on the Do-26. Cockpit is in, and only painted grey, no detail painting as once the canopy is on, and frames painted you wont see anything.

Fuse has been taped together as there are 3 pieces that fill the center-line with two raised strips. My plan for this is to just fill with plastic card, putty and then ad the strips as the 3 infill pieces don't have any positive location or gluing surfaces.

Once this is done, wings will go on.

Fuse windows are in, and will get coated in maskol tonight.

Amodel provide a dolly for this one, which I might even redo.  20180701_065240.jpg 20180701_065245.jpg 20180701_065251.jpg 20180701_065255.jpg
