I'm wondering if this type of boating was frowned upon, in San Francisco Bay in the 30s

I reckon there is a good reason. Maybe the boats were from Boeing or the Pan Am Public Relations Department taking pictures. Ya think? Adios, Larry.

Field Artillery brings dignity to what otherwise might be merely a vulgar brawl.

G'day AP,

Yep, its gonna be a beauty with those engines runn'n and the seagulls a flapp'n. I'm look'n forward to this build with great anticipation and some trepidation of one's perplexement of the necessary dexterity skills for such a small scale.

Cough!

PHIL

Ps: perplexement = is Phil's speak

Where are those plans from? Can you spare a scan copy? I have dozens of photos of that type of boat but no plans. There are several on Lake Jo' up in Muskoka and they have always amazed me......along with the other wooden boats (with Allison V12's)

I was clean, shaved and sober and I didnt care who knew it.

and I was planning to do it in a dockside dio with some 1/144 Prieser figures I got for it. Might make an interesting before and after comparison GB, (if I get off my a** and actually build the thing!) Great work so far! FS
