I just can't see wasting money on something I can make essentially for free in virtually unlimited quantities. To each his own I guess...
I don't use stuff like acrylic model paint and water for a wash. I do buy a quart of Turpenoid and a half dozen tubes of oil paint for washes. Having said that, its handy to have some pre mixed stuff in small amounts for detail work. The problem i have found with most of the pre mixed commercial washes is that they tend to bead up on the model.
