Here is my rendition of a rare P-40, a P-40G. The P-40G was a P-40-CU fuselage mated to a P-40B set of wings. This hybrid was born due to the large number of P-40-CUs which had ground looped, at one time as high as 25% were out of service due to ground loops.

The kit is the wonderful Airfix P-40B/C which includes parts to do a P-40CU and a RAF camera mounted Tomahawk (includes the camera and camera port). The kit was built practically out of the box, no filler was used, and seat belts were added. Polly Scale paints, from my rapidly diminishing stash  were used, along with a very early Microscale sheet( I think it was 48-24). This was my 4th Airfix P-40, I have done a 414 Sqn Reece Tomahawk, a Russian Tomahawk' and a Sea Seach Camo'd P-40C from the Canal Zone.

Nice work. It is a lovely kit, isn't it? I've built three of those so far, and have two more in the stash.

Cheers, Andrew

I have a dozen or so Monograms to build but I think I need one of these too.

I just love these early-war Army squadron schemes. Beautiful work!

I bought two of these in the last weeks, the original issue and the Tomahawk II boxing, might get a third. The decals look beautiful on their sheets. Also bought a Bronco and ordered a Trumpeter. Only missing the HC/Academy now.

The Bronco kit I found comes with a bunch of US Army markings. Lotsa nice spares in there for my Monogram kits and I'd like to maybe build one of each of the kits as various AVG airplanes. Would be kinda cool to see a Flying Tigers lineup built from five different kits.

Nuns hats be damned, I plan to leave them sitting on their wheels anyway. :)
