Guys if you all remember I proposed this a few months ago as a
one type build ie Airfix and Frog Fireboxes.
Greg took the idea and ran with it, with Claus's help.
It ran way past what I ever imagined (although I suspect there was some
skullduggery afoot with the voting)
The Hurricane won this round I suggest in the spirit of the original idea we
make it the first and worry about other types next time.
Its not like we are going anywhere is it?

I shan't be participating this time, I have one Hurricane in my collection.
It is the Airfix 1/24th scale kit and under its wing it carries the signature
of Squadron Leader Kenneth Butterworth McGlashin AFC. A former Hurricane pilot
and a very deeply missed friend.
Building another one wouldnt be right.

The Hurricane won this round, so let that be the subject for this one kit build. And let's agree on the Firefly as the subject for the second one - to follow soon after the end of the first.

To have a dual OKB with both kits doesn't make much sense to me - it will only create a problem for those of you who would like to do both kits.

Dannielle, that 1/24 Hurricane is one to be proud of!

That would be fair all round.

I haven't built a model in over a year so I thought I'd use this contest as an incentive to start on a project. The Hurricane won so I want to build one. When I google the Airfix Hurricane MkI I see different kits in different scales. My question is what one are we using for the build? The 1/24 kit may be beyond my ability.

It's the currently available 1/72 Hurricane Mk.I:http://www.airfix.com/airfix-products/c ... sortorder=

It was originally released in 1979 but is still a fine kit - some consider it the best 1/72 Hurricane ever. You can find it in earlier boxings under these numbers 02067/02082/92082/A02082/A02082A. It is also in most of the multi kit gift sets that have Hurricane.

Looking forward to see your build!

One at a time will keep things simpler anyway!

Now, when can I start? :D (I apologize if it sounds like I'm foaming at the mouth)

myself, even down to the decal sheet! - thought you had snuck all the way down here to 'raid' my selection! Tee Hee!
I too will join with Dannie when it comes time for the Firefly.
Until then it will have to be a Hurricane.
