I want to build one too, but have hedged on the extra stuff inside that Testors/Italeri does not provide. The Squadron book "Gunships, A Pictorial History of Spooky" shows lots of stuff inside, other than the guns. I want to build mine with the back clamshell doors open, but that means the inside is more visible.

... Of course he's gonna keep it OOB... Once it's built, it won't fit back in the box!

BUWAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHA...
Sorry, too much coffee this morning. ;

We stole the eagle from the Air Force, the anchor from the Navy, and the rope from the Army.
On the seventh day while God rested, we overran his perimeter, stole the globe, and we've been running the whole show ever since.

... I want to build one in 1/48th scale.
I have a vacuform kit, I just haven't started it yet... Still hunting all the little parts for it.

Also, if you can find a copy, the "Gunships" book from Squadron has some interior diagrams to help show what is inside.

Note, your second shot you posted here is a cargo C-119, not a gunship.
