For me it would be a hard choice between the Fairey Flycatcher and the Hawker Woodcock.

I would recommend a non-military subject. When I think of the "Golden Age" of aviation, record breaking, trophy racing and the rise civil airlines come to mind. During this era, military aircraft design often lagged behind.

The ones on your list that fit this bill AND we rarely see built are:
