He's made a seriously awesome job of that kit.

And to think it's also designed for R/C . . .

I summarised total cost, back in 2008.
The kit, w/ wood, plastic, brass PE, nylon line, printed ply veneer & thread (for hawsers).
Build instructions, that fill two lever-arch binders.
In-depth commentary of the ship's brief operational life and various potted crew histories.
Summaries of naval history and key battles.
Profiles of a number of modern warships.

NZ$2200

Only problem is . . . I'll need a house extension to display it.

the magazines cost around £5.99, here, which over 144 weeks is £862.56...although I have to say it looks like a fantastically well built model, and the builder must have an excess of patience to be able to wait a week for the next set of parts!
