Is the Alanger 1/350 Delta IV SSBN (K-407) kit one of thoose holy grail, hard to find kits now?

What did this guy do to the bow of the kit? Is there an accuracy issue or is he converting to another sub type ( no pun intended)He doesn't mention anything about the bow fix

The Alanger Typhoon and Delta-4 are, indeed, becoming increasingly rare and, concurrently, expensive. The Akula kit seems more available and is seen more often. I am sure the nose work on the model is to correct shape-accuracy issues...the kit has the nose of the boat looking much like the end of a butane storage tank. eBay is your best bet for finding these kits now since Alanger is long out of business.

for the Alangar kit. Someone was kind enough to post a build review a while back, and the kit is hardly worth retail, let alone get into a bidding war over. Polar Bear models out of Russia makes a 350th Delta IV (and a I, II, and III as well), for about 85 usd. Free times hobbies has them listed under the Pacific front hobbies website.
