From an album belonging to Lt. Ballard Dinwiddle. He was a pilot in the 371st Fighter Group in France. Now for sale on ebay.

For historians it was a marvelous product. I cried when they dropped it from Kodak's line.

Didn't we all get a lecture awhile back about parked aircraft with bomb loads hanging on 'em.

as was described in a couple of books long ago. It was done to increase the roll rate and maneuverability.

You did notice though that the bombs aren't armed. Maybe that's the difference.nm
