Does anybody have a trick to replicate the rivets on german helmets in 120mm (1/16) scale? I'm doing a couple Tamiya figures and the scale is such that the missing rivets are quite noticable. Thanks!

You only need three so I would just salami-slice some appropriate diameter Evergreen rod and then glue them in place with liquid cement. They can be irregular in height - when dry just rub them down with a sanding stick.

In real life they aren't really "rivets" but look like those old brass paper fasteners with the two prongs on the back. Rather like a big thumb tack. They aren't very thick either. I think they are only about 3/32" thick in 1/1 size.

I don't know why I didn't think of that... Too close to the trees, I guess.

BTW do you know what this hole is?

While you are at it, remember there are three "rivets"; most people only model two or plastic helmets have two. The third is in the middle of the back. There are two vent holes on the sides.
