The 10 week Airfix/Matchbox/Frog forum 10th Anniversary Group Build starts “now”, 08 June 2018, your time. The group build will end Friday night, 17 August 2018: Celebrating 10 years of an Airfix and/or classic kit group build forum.

The build theme is wide-ranging: "That classic from your stash." Select and build the Airfix/Matchbox/Frog classic you haven’t built yet. Please share a post at the start, middle and end your build. More frequent posts are welcome and invited. This build is a great excuse to start posting or return to posting. Extra kudos are available to those who work 10/ten of something into your group build subject.

The RAF100GB will be running at the same time as this 10th Anniversary Group Build. Your subject may qualify for both!

Congratulations for approaching a 10 year milestone of valued hobby time. I look forward to seeing the 10thAGB contributions. Only 10 weeks to go! Thanks to Brett for providing, moderating and generally making the space a quality visit for our hobby.

As this started as an Airfix group I decided to go for an Airfix kit to start with. I found that I still have three kits left that I bought 2008 so I'll choose among them. It will probably be the Boeing 727-200. Not a Swedish plane this time though.

I'm in ... The Heller build was fighters, I think i'll go with Bombers this time.

Quick question - any problems with using aftermarket update parts ???
Thanks

No problem. The challenge is 10 weeks and celebrating 10 years.  (Now 9 weeks left.)

Yes; Aftermarket and scratch additions.

Yes; Whifs/What-if, alternative markings and conversions are welcome as long as they conform to the Classic Kit forum rules. I recall the 2017 What If GB recommended greater than 50% classic kit(s).

Yes; Classic plastic in another box is welcome for this group build. For example; Classic Airfix plastic in a Heller box, Matchbox plastic in a Revell box or Frog plastic in Novo packaging.

Keep the overall group build “classic kits” spirit/rules in mind. (They seem to have moved in the upgrade to Tapatalk.)
