Which is better? I know Hobbyboss has the full intake, but are there any major downsides when compared to the Hasegawa kit? Which has the better cockpit?

Sloppyboss is fraught with errors.

Hobbybotch

Hasegawa may be a little tricky in a few spots, or need a little more time, but at least in the end you get something that least looks right.

A few of HB releases are ok though (F-3 Demon, fury, and some others)

They faithfully carried forth all the egregious errors of the Trumpeter 1/32 kits, and added a few more for good measure. While the Hasegawa kit isn't the easiest kit to put together (be patient, it can be done), it's ***far*** more accurate in every respect than the HB "thing".
