Visual Biography - Erika Charlotte-Maria Dernbach von und zu Bernkastel-Kues
[/td]
Erika Charlotte-Maria Dernbach von und zu Bernkastel-Kues (ヱリカ・シャルロッテ=マリア・デルンバッハ・フォン・ウント・ツー・ベルンカステル=クース) is a girl whose exact origins is only known by Erika Bernkastel-Kues herself. Despite her youthful appearance, it is clear that Erika Bernkastel-Kues has lived for a very long time, far longer than life expectancy of a regular human, however exactly how old Erika Bernkastel-Kues is unknown to all but herself. What is known about Erika Bernkastel-Kues is that she has had a long history within the criminal underground under a countless number of different identities. Erika Bernkastel-Kues is also a Witch of the Kakera, however much like many aspects of Erika Bernkastel-Kues, what kind of magic she specialises in as a Witch of the Kakera is a mystery to all but herself. Erika Bernkastel-Kues is surprisingly very similar to Amane Shinomiya in appearance despite the assumed difference in the two's nationalities. Not only are Erika Bernkastel-Kues and Amane Shinomiya similar in appearance, their sense of fashion is also very similar, and while they are distinguished through their unique traits easily enough, they could also easily pass off as siblings and even twins thanks to their very similar appearances. Erika Bernkastel-Kues is both shorter and lighter than Amane Shinomiya, being at a height of 160cm, the average height of a girl in Japan and a weight of 25kg, far lighter than she appears and should even be possible, however much like Amane Shinomiya, Erika Bernkastel-Kues's weight does not show in her appearance and while she is very slim, many would assume Erika Bernkastel-Kues to be of good health through appearance alone. It is assumed her low weight is related to being a Witch of the Kakera, however even Witches of the Kakera do not have weights that are that different from the weight of regular humans. Erika Bernkastel-Kues has long hair that is a shade of dark blue with a subtle hint of purple which reaches a little passed her waist. Like Amane Shinomiya, Erika Bernkastel-Kues wears her hair down and keeps the fringe cut. Finally, just like Amane Shinomiya, Erika Bernkastel-Kues has amethyst eyes, however they differ slightly from Amane Shinomiya, being of a much stronger colour than Amane Shinomuya's eye colour.
Main Clothing

Erika Bernkastel-Kues's main clothing is consists of a one piece dress and it is the appearance that is most associated with Erika Bernkastel-Kues's identity as Rabenschwarz, an identity Erika Bernkastel-Kues used a long time in the past, and the appearance has now become closely connected to the Rabenschwarz Group, a corporate conglomerate of corporations that Erika Bernkastel-Kues have either founded herself or acquired over the years. The one piece dress is made up of an outer black layer and an inner white layer. The outer black layer of the one piece dress is a shade of black with purple mixed in, complementing Erika Bernkastel-Kues's own hair and eyes, but slightly darker in colour. The sleeves of the outer layer are short and have been decorated with a white layer of frills. The outer layer of the one piece dress does not cover the chest area, leaving the inner layer visible and giving space for accessories around the neck. The skirt section of the outer layer of the one piece dress is shortened in the middle of the front, growing in length outwards from the middle. The skirt section of the outer layer reaches to about Erika Bernkastel-Kues's knees and cover the upper half of the inner layer of the one piece dress. The end of the skirt section of the outer layer has been decorated with a small second layer made up of white frills, similar to the frilly decorations of the sleeves, but a little more emphasised. The second layer of the one piece dress is completely white, and unlike the outer layer, it has long sleeves and a much longer skirt that reaches Erika Bernkastel-Kues's ankles. The skirt section of the inner layer is split into a further two layers for decoration, with the lower layer being longer than the outer. The skirt section has also been designed so that it would flow outwards rather than match Erika Bernkastel-Kues's figure. The sleeves of the inner layer of the one piece dress are also much longer than the outer layer, reaching passed Erika Bernkastel-Kues's hands and being able to cover much of her hands when in full length. The sleeves have been decorated with a frilly finish and like the skirt section of the dress, have been divided into two layers, with the inner layer being slightly longer than the outer. The sleeves are designed so that they become much more loose the closer the sleeve comes to the cuff. The collar of the one piece dress is very similar to traditional European dresses, standing straight and having a patterned finish. Finally, as an accessory, Erika Bernkastel-Kues wears a large, light blue ribbon around her neck, complementing the colour of her hair.
Other Clothing
Amane Kues
School Uniform Variation

One of the appearances Erika Bernkastel-Kues will take when appearing as Amane Shinomiya. While Erika Bernkastel-Kues and Amane shinomiya already look very similar, Erika Bernkastel-Kues does, at times, decide to use Amane Shinomiya's appearance over her own. While there is only very minor differences in appearance when Erika Bernkastel-Kues decides to use Amane Shinomiya's appearance, such as small differences in accessories, the atmosphere that Erika Bernkastel-Kues gives off is very different from the atmosphere that Amane Shinomiya gives off, and most will be very quick to find that while the appearance is Amane Shinomiya, the person is behind that appearance is not Amane Shinomiya. Erika Bernkastel-Kues has personally come to call herself Amane Kues when using Amane Shinomiya's appearance. Since this is actually Amane Shinomiya's appearance, all the traits you would expect from Amane Shinomiya come with this form such as the midnight black hair and amethyst eyes as well as the height and figure of Amane Shinomiya. This particular appearance of Amane Kues is Amane Shinomiya in one of the recognised uniforms of the Shinomiya Girls' High School. This particular uniform consists of a cream coloured, long sleeved school sweater. The sweater is is designed to have emphasised cuffs that hold outwards and have been decorated with a red line and frills at the end of the cuff. The collar area of the school sweater is open around the front to allow for accessories around the neck and has a black line as decorated. Finally, the end of the school sweater has been decorated with red line and frills just like the cuffs have been. Underneath the school sweater, Amane Kues wears a white school shirt with a red ribbon as an accessory around collar. Amane Kues wears a dark, chequered miniskirt, although the skirt does come in various length variations and Amane Kues does often switch between length. Finally, along with the school uniform, Amane Kues also wears black thigh high socks which show no skin and plain black school shoes. Unlike Amane Shinomiya, Amane Kues wears a red ribbon instead of a hair band which is tied on the left side of Amane Kues's head. Amane Kues also wears earrings which have been decorated with an amethyst gem and a golden frame.
Higanbana

Higanbana, the name Erika Bernkastel-Kues goes by in the criminal underground and as a Witch of the Senate, is an appearance that is very different from both Erika Bernkastel-Kues's normal appearance and Amane Shinomiya's appearance. While many of the traits of this appearance are similar to Erika Bernkastel-Kues, as Higanbana, she has midnight black hair just as Amane Shinomiya does and unlike either Erika Bernkastel-Kues or Amane Shinomiya, Higanbana has crimson red eyes. The clothes Erika Bernkastel-Kues wears as Higanbana is a multiple part which mainly consists of three parts: a dress shirt, a dress jacket and a dress skirt. The dress shirt is white in colour and is very much like a regular shirt you would expect to be worn with a suit or any other formal piece of clothing, however it has several decorations such as frills along the opening of the shirt as well as a long, frill decorated collar. The dress jacket is a crimson red, matching Higanbana's own crimson eyes. The dress jacket is long sleeved with a long, loose white cuffs and has been designed to be worn with the dress shirt so that the collar design of the dress shirt are emphasised. The cuffs have been decorated with white buttons that allow for the cuffs to be adjusted. The dress skirt, no doubt the most eye catching part of the dress, is white on the outside and vermilion on the inside, matching the overall colour of the dress and Higanbana herself. The dress skirt is two layered, with the inner layer being longer than the outer layer, with the inner layer reaching down to Higanbana's ankles while the outer layer reaches a little passed Higanbana's knees. Along with the dress, Higanbana also wears thigh high socks and plain red shoes. Higanbana also wears a red and white bow as decoration in her hair. This particular appearance has been based on a doll which Erika Bernkastel-Kues has been in possession for a long time, and the design of the doll is heavily influenced by the Higanbana flower.
Rabenschwarz Group
CEO Variation

An appearance that has become closely associated with the CEO of the Rabenschwarz Group, this particular appearance of Erika Bernkastel-Kues takes on a slightly older appearance in comparison to her regular appearance. This is the appearance that Erika Bernkastel-Kues will often choose when acting in the capacity of CEO of the Rabenschwarz Group. While this appearance is one of Erika Bernkastel-Kues's, this particular appearance is a mirror image of Amane Shinomiya, with the only difference between the two being in height. In this particular appearance, like Amane Shinomiya Amane, Bernkastel-Kues has midnight black hair and amethyst eyes. The clothing Erika Bernkastel-Kues wears when in this appearance is a mix between traditional Japanese and European clothing, with some modern features mixed in. The dress is maid up of three main parts: a dress shirt, a kimono jacket and a miniskirt. The dress shirt is what you would expect from any formal shirt, however it does have an emphasised collar that is modestly decorated. The dress shirt is long sleeved with loose cuffs which match the kimono jacket is a few centimetres longer than the sleeves of the kimono jacket. The kimono jacket, while being very traditional in design, is also equally modern. The overall shape and feel of the kimono jacket is similar to a regular kimono, however the design has been made to be very modern. The kimono jacket is purple in colour, matching Erika Bernkastel-Kues's amethyst eyes, with loose sleeves and is kept together by a crimson kimono hash that has been decorated with various occult inspired accessories. The collar area of the kimono jacket has been decorated in a whine decorative lining and much of the dress shirt is covered by the kimono jacket. The skirt is crimson in colour, and while most of it is covered by the kimono jacket, the lower part of the skirt can be seen. The end of the skirt has been decorated with a short, white second layer which extends a few centimetres passed the skirt. The skirt reaches to just above Erika Bernkastel-Kues's knees. Along with the dress, Bernkastel-Kues wears black thigh high socks which have been decorated with a white finish and a blue ribbon where it reaches the thigh. Complementing the kimono jacket, Erika Bernkastel-Kues also wears traditional Japanese sandals which are black in colour with a crimson red support. Erika Bernkastel-Kues also wears several accessories, with several sky blue ribbons in her hair, pearl earrings and a matching loose fitting pearl necklace. Finally, Erika Bernkastel-Kues wears a second ruby necklace which has a gold chain and a gold frame designed in the shape of the letter x.
Everyday
Younger Variation

A more youthful version of Erika Bernkastel-Kues's main appearance. In this particular appearance, practically all of the traits of Erika Bernkastel-Kues's can easily be seen, with the only difference being in height and appearing more youthful. In this particular appearance, Erika Bernkastel-Kues is 155cm, losing 5cm off her ordinary height. Erika Bernkastel-Kues wears her hair in a twin tail style, however the colour remains the same as her main appearance. Erika Bernkastel-Kues's eyes also remain an amethyst colour, however the shade is closer to the shade of Amane Shinomiya's eyes rather than Erika Bernkastel-Kues's eyes. The clothing Erika Bernkastel-Kues wears is a dress consisting of mainly two parts: a dress shirt and a dress skirt. The dress shirt is heavily decorated with frills, particularly around the end of the loose fitting, long sleeves. The collar area is also decorated, but not to the same extent as the sleeves. The dress skirt Erika Bernkastel-Kues wears is pink in colour and made up of two main layers, an outer layer which is a light pink colour and an inner layer which is a much darker, almost red, shade of pink. The dress skirt reaches all the way to Erika Bernkastel-Kues's ankles and the lower layer of the dress skirt is decorated by several smaller layers. The dress skirt can be tightened in the front by a crimson red fastener and is secured by a tying the lace of the fastener in a bow. Along with the dress, Erika Bernkastel-Kues wears thigh high white socks and plain black shoes. Finally, Erika Bernkastel-Kues also wear several accessories such as a large, pink bow on the front of her dress shirt and a flower themed hair accessory.

One of the many appearances that Erika Bernkastel-Kues possesses, however this particular appearance is one that Erika Bernkastel-Kues has not made use of in recent times. This is Erika Bernkastel-Kues's oldest and original appearance, and can be said to be what Erika Bernkastel-Kues truly looks like. Despite being Erika Bernkastel-Kues's original appearance, the appearance is very similar to that of Amane Shinomiya, with key features such as hair colour, eye colour and even face structure being a mirror image of Amane Shinomiya. The only real difference between Erika Bernkastel-Kues's original appearance and Amane Shinomiya's appearance is that Erika Bernkastel-Kues is about 5cm shorter than Amane Shinomiya. Erika Bernkastel-Kues's original appearance could easily be compared with Amane Kues, with virtually no difference between the two with exception to the height. In this appearance, Erika Bernkastel-Kues wears a simple one piece dress which is midnight black, matching the colour of her black hair in this appearance. The upper part of the one piece dress covers the front of Erika Bernkastel-Kues while the back is left largely uncovered with exception to support for the dress. The lower part of the one piece dress is a skirt designed to be shorter at the front and gradually getting longer as it reaches the back. The end of the skirt part of the one piece dress is decorated with a feather-like design. Along with the one piece dress, Erika Bernkastel-Kues also wears thigh high socks with a repeating pattern of diamonds varying from two shades. One shade is a mix of light black and purple colour while the second shade is a mix of a darker black and purple colour. Along with the thigh high socks, Erika Bernkastel-Kues also wears heelless modern shoes with a unique design with the support of the shoes reaching up in a web like design. Erika Bernkastel-Kues also wears a choker that matches with the one piece dress, being a midnight black in colour and with a spiked design and an arrow like design pointing towards at the very front of the choker. Along with the choker, Erika Bernkastel-Kues wears midnight black gloves that reach up passed her elbows. As an extension of the gloves, black stripes decorate Erika Bernkastel-Kues's forearm. Finally, much like with the appearance Erika Bernkastel-Kues takes when she uses Amane Shinomiya's body, she wears a red ribbon in her hair which is tied on the left said of her head.

Personalities - Amane Shinomiya
[/td]
Amane Shinomiya, in contrast to Erika Bernkastel-Kues, is a very straightforward and easy to understand person. Amane Shinomiya makes no attempt to hide what she is thinking, and instead, is more than likely to say what is on her mind. Heavily opinionated, if Amane Shinomiya doesn't like something, she won't hesitate to make that clear. However, while Amane Shinomiya may be opinionated and short tempered, she is also extremely hard working and extremely precise with her work, performing almost any task to perfection and working to a point that many consider Amane Shinomiya to be a workaholic.

Amane Shinomiya is an extremely serious person with a lot of pride in not only herself, but also her family and her religion, Shinto. One of Amane Shinomiya's key identities is that of a shrine maiden and being part of a family with a long history of priests and priestesses within the Shinto religion. In fact, Amane Shinomiya's family is rather famous amongst those who maintain Shinto shrine as the Shinomiya Corporation, the company owned by Amane Shinomiya's family and whose heir is Amane Shinomiya's younger sister, Eri Shinomiya, is one of largest suppliers for Shinto shrines. Amane Shinomiya is quick to take insult to any comments made against the Shinto religion and won't hesitate to argue back. Of course, while Amane Shinomiya is a strict follower of Shinto, she does not dismiss other faiths for as long as they respect her own. While it is a central part of Amane Shinomiya's own identity, Amane Shinomiya is well aware that it only applies for her and that other people, just like her, may strongly associate with something else. However, when it comes to break Shinto practices, Amane Shinomiya is quick to snap and scold people.

The next defining feature of Amane Shinomiya's personality, as mentioned previously, is her serious and hard working nature. Amane Shinomiya is the type of person who does not take a break and can always be found doing one task or another. On weekdays, when Amane Shinomiya isn't attending lessons, she can be found in the Student Council Office carrying out the various tasks of the Student Council. Even as a member of the Student Council, Amane Shinomiya frequently takes part in other clubs' activities both as a member of that club and, at times, as a member of the Student Council. Outside of school and on weekends, Amane Shinomiya can be found tending to the Kaneshima Shrine as one of the Shrine Maidens who work at the Kaneshima Shrine. While Amane Shinomiya may hate the Chief Priest with a burning passion and can often be found shouting at him for his outrageous ploys to make money, Amane Shinomiya has a strong sense of duty and responsibility and will not abandon a task unless literally forced to abandon it.

This brings us onto Amane Shinomiya's next defining characteristic. Amane Shinomiya is extremely loyal and faithful not only to Shinto, but also to organisations and people. Aside from Amane Shinomiya's obvious loyalty to Shinto, Amane Shinomiya is also extremely loyal to the Shinomiya Girls' High School and takes pride in being part of the school. In fact, it is part of Amane Shinomiya's characteristic to take pride in any organisation she is part of, and in fact, feels as if it is a duty of a person belonging to an organisation to take pride in being part of that organisation. Of course, Amane Shinomiya also sees it the duty of any member of an organisation to speak up when they feel the organisation is making a bad decision. As for people, when it comes to loyalty and faith, the first thing to come to mind would be romance. Amane Shinomiya is not actually a person who actively seeks out romance and is, in fact, the type of person who could live without romance. However, after meeting Frederica Weiss and becoming incredibly attached to Frederica Weiss, Amane Shinomiya seems to have declared a silent oath to Frederica Weiss and has abandoned any thought of romance with anyone other than Frederica Weiss. Of course, Amane Shinomiya will not openly admit this and probably doesn't even realise this herself. This is because Amane Shinomiya is a tsundere and as much as it may pain Amane Shinomiya to be in denial, Amane Shinomiya has found herself in the painful position where she can neither give up on her love but at the same time, cannot bring herself to accept it. Of course, there are two main reasons that Amane Shinomiya cannot accept her love. One, two girls in a relationship goes against what most people would consider to be a normal romantic relationship and two, as stated before and the main reason, Amane Shinomiya is a tsundere. It could be said that the only thing Amane Shinomiya cannot be straightforward about is her love for Frederica Weiss.

While Amane Shinomiya may be tsundere towards Frederica Weiss and any aggression shown towards Weiss is just a sign of Amane Shinomiya's love towards Frederica Weiss, when it comes to anyone else, Amane Shinomiya's aggressive has a very different meaning. In most cases, Amane Shinomiya is straightforward and when Amane Shinomiya shouts at someone, it often means that she feels as if that person is in the wrong, and once Amane Shinomiya has shouted at someone, she tends to not forget and will more than likely continue to shout at that person for every mistake them make, especially if they have made a big one in the past. Amane Shinomiya is the type to never forget an incident and remember it until the bitter end and it is incredibly difficult to change Amane Shinomiya's impression once a bad impression has been made. Once a bad impression has been made, Amane Shinomiya's tolerance towards them will be lowered significantly and Amane Shinomiya tends to be very quick to lose her temper when a person who has made a bad impression makes any kind of mistake.

In regards to friends and people that Amane Shinomiya works with, Amane Shinomiya is a person who treats people very differently depending on her relationship with the person. Amane Shinomiya, in regards to people who are above her such as bosses, treats those she considers to be hard working and proper with respect whereas she will openly criticise and argue with those she considers to be lazy or improper. As for friends, Amane Shinomiya is often kind to them and is the type to look after friends rather than be looked after. In fact, Amane Shinomiya dislikes having to rely on others and instead, enjoys being relied on. Needless to say, even at Kaneshima Shrine, where she is a new member of staff, Amane Shinomiya tends to look after the other shrine maiden rather than the other way round, and needless to say, Amane Shinomiya can often be found arguing with Kyouga Kamizono, the Chief Priest of the Kaneshima Shrine. As for strangers and people Amane Shinomiya knows the face of but isn't very familiar with, Amane Shinomiya takes on a very professional and proper approach, speaking and acting in a very polite fashion.

In terms of Amane Shinomiya in terms of sociability, while Amane Shinomiya is a person who is very charismatic and polite, and can often be found in high positions that require a lot of public speaking such as the President of the Student Council, Amane Shinomiya is not actually a social person, and in fact, dislikes social situations. Unlike most people, situations that require Amane Shinomiya to simply read a speech without directly conversing with another pose no problems for Amane Shinomiya, regardless of the number of people she is addressing. It is social situations where Amane Shinomiya has to converse with people on a level that isn't professional that Amane Shinomiya struggles with as she is a person who has spent the majority of her childhood in hospital and was alone for most of her childhood. Rather than developing into a want to socialise, it had the reverse effect on Amane Shinomiya, and she became a person who preferred her own company over others. Frederica Weiss is the only true exception to this rule and the only person Amane Shinomiya truly feels is her friend. It is also most likely because of Amane Shinomiya's childhood in hospital that she has developed a dislike towards relying on others.

When it comes to combat, just like Erika Bernkastel-Kues, Amane Shinomiya is not a person who favours combat. In fact, Amane Shinomiya could be best described as a person who is better as a tactician than a fighter as she is a person better at using her head rather than physically fight. Thanks to Erika Bernkastel-Kues and the symptoms of Shinomiya Syndrome, Amane Shinomiya is no stranger to violence and even when confronted with a war zone, Amane Shinomiya is able to keep her calm and act with a clear head. In fact, even outside of the symptoms of Shinomiya Syndrome and the various activities of Erika Bernkastel-Kues, Amane Shinomiya has experienced violent situations first hand and even one resembling a war zone. When confronted with a violent situation, Amane Shinomiya makes the escape of herself and those she cares for her main priority. While for most people, Amane Shinomiya isn't willing to risk her life for, when it comes to people like Frederica Weiss, Amane Shinomiya is willing to risk her life if it means that people as close to her as Frederica Weiss can escape. If forced into a combat, Amane Shinomiya is able to remain calm and will do her best to create an opportunity to escape.

Into Amane Shinomiya's hobbies, Amane Shinomiya is a person who has both very traditional hobbies as well as hobbies that are considered more modern. Amane Shinomiya enjoys hobbies such as calligraphy and has received the rank of 五段 from the Japanese Calligraphy Promotion Organisation. Amane Shinomiya is also an experienced in playing the piano and violin, and has been practising since she was a few years of age. Amane Shinomiya is particularly well practised as Amane Shinomiya spent the majority of her childhood in hospital and rarely had much else to do than to practise instruments and calligraphy. Amane Shinomiya also enjoys activities such as festivals, fireworks and flowering viewing, and while Amane Shinomiya rarely has ever gone with friends, she does often go to these events alone. However, while Amane Shinomiya does enjoy these events, Amane Shinomiya also dislikes the crowds that often gather at those kinds of events. Another hobby of Amane Shinomiya's is visiting various shrines across Japan and whenever Amane Shinomiya travels to another part of Japan, she never fails to visit a shrine in that area. Another peculiar hobby of Amane Shinomiya's is that she likes to apply for various qualifications and owns qualifications from Level 1 on the Test of Kanji Skills to Level 1 on Test of Secretary Skills. Of course, needless to say, work is also one of Amane Shinomiya's hobby, but above all, Amane Shinomiya's most cherished hobby is anything done together with Frederica Weiss, even if Amane Shinomiya would never admit that.

As for Amane Shinomiya's preferences in cuisine, it is probably clear by now, as someone who has so much pride in herself and in her identity, that Amane Shinomiya favours Japanese cuisine over all other cuisines. Amane Shinomiya is the very stereotypical bowl of rice with every meal and rice balls for lunch type of person. Amane Shinomiya does not simply do this out of pride and because it is part of her identity, but because Amane Shinomiya genuinely likes Japanese cuisine over any other cuisine. In fact, it is only because of Frederica Weiss that Amane Shinomiya eats any other kind of cuisine. Outside of Japanese cuisine, Amane Shinomiya likes most breads and simple deserts such as minimally decorated cakes and ice cream. Of course, while Amane Shinomiya does like sweet foods, she is the type of person who can only have small amounts of sweet foods before reaching her limit. When it comes to drinks, Amane Shinomiya favours green tea above all else, but also enjoys most teas, including milk tea, although Amane Shinomiya prefers tea without any milk or sugar. Amane Shinomiya also enjoys sake, although because of her age, she refrains from drinking it outside of celebratory situations. Despite rarely every drinking alcohol, Amane Shinomiya has a tolerance for alcohol far higher than most adults, which is more than likely something Amane Shinomiya has inherited from Erika Bernkastel-Kues. When it comes to cooking, Amane Shinomiya is actually very good at cooking Japanese cuisine and has began to study some western cuisine so that she can make more food that matches Frederica Weiss's tastes.

Finally, going into Amane Shinomiya's preferences. Amane Shinomiya is the type of person who prefers bright colours, although when it comes to clothes on herself, Amane Shinomiya tends to favour closes where dark colours contrast with light colours. As for seasons, Amane Shinomiya is a person who enjoys mild weather such as spring and autumn, but she does enjoy the flowers that bloom during the summer and the scenery that can be seen during the winter, particularly the scenery of snow. However, when it comes to the winter, Amane Shinomiya proves to be very weak against the cold and as much as Amane Shinomiya will try to pretend it is not affecting her, if Amane Shinomiya is kept standing still in the cold, it will quickly become apparent just how weak to the cold she actually is. As for weather, while Amane Shinomiya does enjoy the scenery granted by a rainy or snowy day, Amane Shinomiya does not actually like being out in it and when it comes to having to go out, Amane Shinomiya favours clear, warm days.
Personality - Erika Charlotte-Maria Dernbach von und zu Bernkastel-Kues
[/td]
Erika Bernkastel-Kues, despite on the surface to be a very simple person, is actually a person who is incredibly difficult to understand and near impossible to predict. Impulsive and whimsical are a few words that could be used to describe Erika Bernkastel-Kues, however while Erika Bernkastel-Kues may appear to be very impulsive and whimsical, the organisation and preparation that go into some of what Erika Bernkastel-Kues suggest that Erika Bernkastel-Kues may not be as impulsive as she may seem on the surface. The only thing that can confidently be said from Erika Bernkastel-Kues's actions is that Erika Bernkastel-Kues acts for enjoyment and thrills alone, and there doesn't seem to necessarily be any benefit for Erika Bernkastel-Kues in her own actions. As long as it brings her the thrills and excitement she desires, Erika Bernkastel-Kues will more than likely do a particular act.

Going into detail of Erika Bernkastel-Kues's personality, it is difficult, if not impossible, to read Erika Bernkastel-Kues. On the face of it, Erika Bernkastel-Kues comes across as a charismatic, cheerful and playful girl however, at the same time, it often seems that Erika Bernkastel-Kues is enjoying herself far too much, even when there is nothing in particular going on. Erika Bernkastel-Kues has a powerful aura of excitement that many would no doubt find dangerous, but just as with danger, incredibly alluring and charming. In other words, just speaking with Erika Bernkastel-Kues can leave many conflicted. On the one hand, Erika Bernkastel-Kues gives off a very clearly dangerous and threatening vibe, but on the other hand, that dangerous and threatening vibe comes with an intoxicating charm that can be very difficult to resist.

As far as intelligence goes, just as with most aspects of Erika Bernkastel-Kues, it can be very difficult for people to ascertain. On the surface of it, Erika Bernkastel-Kues presents herself as nothing more than a person seeking a thrill and one who does not put much thought behind her actions. However, a detailed look into Erika Bernkastel-Kues's action would portray a very different story. From the capacity to both organise persons and create favourable circumstances for particular events to the capacity to lead an entire international corporation and have it expand at a fearsome rate, Erika Bernkastel-Kues proves to be every bit cunning as she is impulsive. It does not help that her unpredictability make it almost impossible to read what exactly Erika Bernkastel-Kues as planned. Of course, while many of the things that Erika Bernkastel-Kues does does require elaborate planning, there is also many things that Erika Bernkastel-Kues does that are truly impulsive in nature and are done with little thought or reason other than it would entertain her.

So, this leads us onto what seems to be the sole drive of Erika Bernkastel-Kues and the sole reason that Erika Bernkastel-Kues performs any action she does perform. What does Erika Bernkastel-Kues finding thrilling and entertaining? As one might expect, that entirely depends on Erika Bernkastel-Kues's mood. What Erika Bernkastel-Kues may find thrilling and entertaining one day, she may not another. It is also incredibly likely that once Erika Bernkastel-Kues has derived entertainment from something, she is unlikely to derive the same entertainment from it again. In other words, Erika Bernkastel-Kues is a person who easily gets bored of the same thing and would rather something new to keep her entertained. However, there are some things that Erika Bernkastel-Kues has always found entertaining. Erika Bernkastel-Kues enjoys to get reactions from people, particularly people who rarely give a reaction. The bigger the reaction Erika Bernkastel-Kues is able to extract, the more entertainment she derives. In a way, Erika Bernkastel-Kues considers it a game. The aim of the game is to draw as big of a reaction as possible from a person who has very little reaction.

This moves us onto our next topic. What kind of people does Erika Bernkastel-Kues tend to be attracted to? While Erika Bernkastel-Kues does enjoy the presence of people like herself, she is quick to be tired of others who are impulsive and whimsical. It takes someone truly similar to herself for Erika Bernkastel-Kues to be entertained, and unfortunately for Erika Bernkastel-Kues and fortunately for the rest of us, people like Erika Bernkastel-Kues seem to be very few. The type of people Erika Bernkastel-Kues are most attracted to are people who are the exact opposite of herself. People who are incredibly serious and goal orientated, and people who show very little emotion and give very little reaction. However, the way in which Erika Bernkastel-Kues interacts with these types of people may give the opposite impression that Erika Bernkastel-Kues hates them. After all, when it comes to people who are incredibly serious and entirely goal orientated, Erika Bernkastel-Kues enjoys sabotaging them and making it as difficult as possible for them to accomplish their goals. As for people who are most emotionless and give very little reaction, Erika Bernkastel-Kues tends to go out of her way to provoke some kind of emotional response, and in most cases, Erika Bernkastel-Kues opts to evoke a negative one. Of course, for Erika Bernkastel-Kues, it is a sign of affection, even if it may not seem so for those unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end of Erika Bernkastel-Kues's affection.

When it comes to combat, Erika Bernkastel-Kues honestly isn't combat orientated in any way. Rather, it would be more accurate to say that Erika Bernkastel-Kues is an expect in avoiding combat and her powers very much rely on avoiding combat rather than actively taking part in combat. Of course, as a Witch of the Kakera and a Witch who has lived so long, she is more than familiar with the feeling that comes along with confrontation. In fact, Erika Bernkastel-Kues, in her long life and even in recent times, has faced situations that are no different from war and massacre. It is thanks to this experience that Erika Bernkastel-Kues is extremely calm and, in fact, is no different when confronted with aggression and conflict. Rather, it would be more accurate to say that Erika Bernkastel-Kues thrives off such an environment as conflict is very much similar to Erika Bernkastel-Kues in nature; conflict is chaotic. While Erika Bernkastel-Kues will rarely involve herself, personally, in combat, she does have a tendency of making bad situations even worse through her own actions. Of course, if there is no entertainment to be found for Erika Bernkastel-Kues, she is quick to remove herself from a situation.

As a Witch of the Kakera, Erika Bernkastel-Kues holds the title of the Witch Without Magic as she has yet to reveal the magic she has control over. However, this has not stopped Erika Bernkastel-Kues from taking part in the many games the Sea of Kakera have on offer. In fact, Erika Bernkastel-Kues has become particularly notorious amongst the Witches of the Kakera for being a p+ghyhhhharticularly destructive Witch, often causing the worst possible outcome in any game she takes part in. For that reason, Erika Bernkastel-Kues is avoided by many Witches. While Erika Bernkastel-Kues does prefer to take part in games created by other Witches, Erika Bernkastel-Kues does, on occasions, create her own games. These games are often ones of tragedy and destruction, with the goal of the games to create as much destruction as possible. However, Erika Bernkastel-Kues is not one who enjoys causing destruction herself. In fact, she has long grown bored of that. Instead, Erika Bernkastel-Kues enjoys luring others into causing destruction, particularly luring those who wish to avoid destructive into causing mass destruction.

Moving onto Erika Bernkastel-Kues's hobbies, Erika Bernkastel-Kues, as one might expect, is a person of a great number of hobbies that change very frequently. Perhaps surprisingly for most people, Erika Bernkastel-Kues has a fondness for poems, and often enjoys to not only read poems, but also write poems herself. Over the long course of her life, Erika Bernkastel-Kues has grown familiar with poetic styles of many cultures. While Erika Bernkastel-Kues does enjoy to read poems, she much prefers to write poems herself rather than read them. Another long lived hobby of Erika Bernkastel-Kues is her fondness for flowers, especially autumn flowers. Erika Bernkastel-Kues's favourite flower is the Higanbana, which one of her many appearances have been heavily themed around. Finally, the last of Erika Bernkastel-Kues's long lived hobbies is the tasting of various wines. As a person named after a region of Germany famed for its wine, Erika Bernkastel-Kues has developed a strong taste for wine and often not only drinks wine frequently, but also collects wines. Needless to say, Erika Bernkastel-Kues's favourite wine is the wine from Bernkastel-Kues.

As for Erika Bernkastel-Kues tastes in cuisine, Erika Bernkastel-Kues isn't actually a person who is particularly mindful of most cuisine. Erika Bernkastel-Kues is a person who has long grown bored of most food and as a Witch, it isn't actually essential for her to eat or drink outside of enjoyment. In other words, Erika Bernkastel-Kues does not actually eat very often, although she still does enjoy to drink wines and teas. As stated before, Erika Bernkastel-Kues is very fond of wines, favouring European wine above all and placing wine from Bernkastel-Kues as her favourites. In addition to wine, Erika Bernkastel-Kues is also very fond of tea and favours milk tea above all other teas. Erika Bernkastel-Kues also likes her tea with a lot of sugar, although that is certainly something that matches her personality. Of course, for as long as it is tea, Erika Bernkastel-Kues will more than likely enjoying drinking it. As for foods, Erika Bernkastel-Kues has grown bored of most meals and only her interest in desert foods remains. Erika Bernkastel-Kues still enjoys simple desert foods such as minimally decorated cakes and biscuits, and amongst Erika Bernkastel-Kues's favourite combinations are rich tea biscuits with milk tea.

Finally, onto Erika Bernkastel-Kues's preferences. Erika Bernkastel-Kues's preference in colours are ones that are not too plain and tends to enjoy a combination of colours rather than one single colour. As for seasons, Erika Bernkastel-Kues is most fond of autumn and winter months. Erika Bernkastel-Kues likes autumn months as that is the time of the year that Erika Bernkastel-Kues's favourite flowers tend to flower. As for winter months, once again, Erika Bernkastel-Kues simply just likes the scenery that can be found during winter months, particularly the scenery after heavy snow. When it comes to weather, Erika Bernkastel-Kues prefers heavy rain and heavy snow over all other days, but does not particularly dislike any kind of weather or season in particular.

Shinomiya's History
[/td]
The Shinomiya family. A proud family who have long been associated with Shinto. From as far back as the family line runs, they have been in possession, and caring for shrines all across Japan. In the past, it was said that the family would arrange marriages between other shrine caretakers in owner to extend their influence over the religion.

So, how exactly did such a family come to suffer such a terrible curse?

To understand the curse which effects the first born child of the main branch, we must look back hundreds of years into history, back to a time when one member of the main branch decided that she would break family tradition. Her name was Mion Shinomiya, the first child of the main Shinomiya branch. The family had arranged for her to marry the son of another family associated with a shrine from a nearby city, however, Mion had her own plans. At the temple Mion worked at, there was a man who would visit every so often and make a prayer. He had done so for as long as Mion could remember. He was about two or three years older than her, so the two had actually known each other almost all their life, it is just that they only saw each other perhaps once a month. His name was Terumasa Honda, who eventually became a young samurai. It wasn't until the young Terumasa was finally made into a samurai, would Mion and him have their first proper conversation. In the end, they would find that they had spent hours speaking about how long they have known each other, and about their life outside of their occasional meeting.

This became the start of what would transpire to be a tragic tale, one ending in a curse which would continue up until this very day.

After this day, Terumasa would visit the shrine on his days off to speak with Mion. It wasn't long until the two developed strong feelings for each other. As much as Mion wanted to make her family proud, she couldn't bear marrying another man over Terumasa. She had tried to plead with her parents, but they refused to move on the matter, leaving Mion with two choices. Accept her fate, or defy her fate.

The choice was obvious, at least, for Mion it was.

She decided to runaway. Runaway from her fate. Runaway from her family. Runaway from it all, so that she could be with the one she loved. She went to stay with Terumasa, and lived with him. Years passed peacefully, until the Shinomiya family had finally discovered where Mion was. The Shinomiya family were a truly powerful, and influential family. Mion knew this, but she was not yet aware of how powerful the Shinomiya family truly were. The Shinomiya family, despite their Shinto roots, also provided another service. The Shinomiya family had many branches, some that had nothing to do with Shinto. All these branch families obeyed the main branch. It happened that one of these branch families were assassins. These were no ordinary assassins either, they were assassins famous across the whole of Japan. There was nobody, not a single person, who did not know, and fear their name. They were difficult to locate, and they did all their dealings through the Shinomiya's main branch. It was, of course, not common knowledge, and only a select few were aware of their connection to the Shinomiya family, after all, this assassin family was known to owe allegiance to no faction. This was true, in a sense, but they did owe allegiance to the main branch.

Unfortunately, even Mion was unaware of the Shinomiya family's connection to this branch family.

Shortly after the Shinomiya family located Mion, and her partner, they made their move. In the morning, Mion would find that her partner was missing, and nowhere to be found. She alerted the family Terumasa had been a part of, but no matter how hard they searched, they could find no trace of the now lost samurai. It wasn't long until Mion did what she didn't want to do.

She returned home. She returned to the Shinomiya family.

Of course, to Mion's surprise, the Shinomiya family weren't at all surprised to see her back. In fact, it was as if they expected it. Their reaction to her return made her suspicious, so she asked her parents. Of course, her parents told her nothing. So, what was she supposed to do now? Carry on like nothing happened? Should she just pretend that Terumasa never existed in the first place? Of course she couldn't do that, but what other option did she have left? She didn't even know where Terumasa was. The strain on her heart would soon become too much to bear, so Mion followed up on a rumour, a rumour that she believed would bring her to the truth. It was said that European pirates had set up a camp nearby, and that one of the pirates was capable of using magic, magic powerful enough to even track a person. Mion went to this place where the European pirates had supposedly set camp, and to her disbelief, she found them. Of course, in the beginning they were hostile, and were close to simply blowing her head off, but they were stopped by a young looking girl with blue hair. This girl certainly didn't look like a pirate, in fact, she looked more like a princess. The girl introduced herself as Lady Kues, and she claimed herself to be a witch.

Was she really the one the rumours spoke of?

"I assume you have came here for a reason?" The witch didn't waste time in asking what Mion wanted, and Mion wasn't about to waste any either. She wanted to know what had happened to Terumasa. No, she needed to know what happened to Terumasa. Otherwise, she would never be able to live in peace. Mion asked the witch what had become of a samurai called Terumasa Honda. She told the witch that she was willing to pay any price to find out where, or what had become of her lover. The witch, much to her surprise, gave a very simple answer. "Worry not, I am not in need of payment. As for Terumasa Honda... I would check the basement of your family shrine." It was a shocking answer. It wasn't the fact that the witch wanted nothing, but what she had said after. How did the witch know her family owned a shrine? Did she truly know something? Perhaps worst of all, was the way in which the witch had said what she said. Her tone was as if she took pleasure in telling Mion this small piece of information. Mion immediately backed away from the girl, horrified. With a sense of urgency, without even thanking the witch, Mion immediately rushed off, back to the family shrine. As far as Mion knew, there was no basement. Mion would find herself proved wrong when she finally arrived back at the shrine. After a few moments of searching, she found a hidden door, which seemed to open only when someone of a certain bloodline touched an enchanted stone. That bloodline was the main branch of the Shinomiya family, and that hidden door led to a basement. Full of fear, Mion ventured into the basement, despite knowing that she would find something that would never sit well with her. Perhaps, even in knowing this, she still had hope. Hope that her lover was still alive.

What she found instead would be a nightmare. A nightmare that would plague the family for the next hundred years.

Under the holy grounds was a chamber. A torture chamber. Blood stained the floors, and in every direction was a torture tool that would disgust even the most twisted of minds. The torture tools were all stained in blood. They have all been used. This was a place where God only knows how many people spent their lasts breath. The very air in this room smelled of death. What use could this room possibly have? What use could the Shinomiya family possibly have for such a room. Hesitantly, the girl searched the room, looking for something. She wasn't quite sure what she was searching for to begin with, but once she found it, she knew immediately, that was the thing she was searching for.

Tied down onto a table, the remains of her lover, Terumasa Honda.

It looked as if he had died only recently, but it was a death that was most likely welcomed by him. His face, not even his lover, Mion, could recognise. Disfigured from possibly weeks, if not more, of brutal torture. It was not only his face that was disfigured, but more or less his entire body. It was clear he went through an amount of pain no human should have to go through.

So... How exactly did she know it was Terumasa?

Piercing the hand of the corpse was a katana. A katana that Mion needn't look twice to know who it once belonged to. It was the katana, made by a skilled blacksmith, and given to a young samurai who had just graduated as a samurai. That's right. It was Terumasa Honda's katana. To strip away any last bit of pride he had, they must have even stabbed him with his own weapon, the weapon he took so much pride in, and the weapon which signified his honour. Disgusted, and taumatised, the young Mion found herself staring blankly at the wreck of the corpse which was once her lover. From behind her, a couple greeted her, with faces full of satisfaction. They congratulated Mion on her finding, and warned her that if she dared leave the family again for another man, the same would happen to them. That's right, it was Mion's very own parents. She felt nothing. Absolutely nothing. No, it wasn't that. She did feel something, something stronger than anything she had ever felt before. A hate for her own family. A hate so strong, that it would make the family suffer far more than they could ever anticipate it. It was as if someone had smashed her sanity into dust. No, someone did smash her sanity into dust.

She could not forgive. She could not forget. She would not forgive. She would not forget.

Mion returned to the witch, and begged her. She didn't ask, but begged. What did she beg for? She begged for something that would ruin the Shinomiya family. Lady Kues, however, could not do anything for her, but she did say something else. "Unfortunately, I cannot do anything... However, perhaps if you destroyed a certain shrine belonging to a certain mad Goddess... Then maybe, just maybe you might get your wish." A shrine belonging to a Goddess of Madness? That's right. That was a shrine that belonged to one of the Shinomiya's branch families. Thanking the witch for all she had done, a broken Mion left, and went in search for this shrine, only to burn it down to the ground. This shrine was actually in the possession of the very branch that specialised in assassination. In burning down that shrine, she also killed off the majority of assassins that worked for the Shinomiya's main branch. Perhaps this was the first step the Goddess of Madness took as revenge against the Shinomiya family for their disrespect. The family was devastated by the news, but Mion didn't care. She had lost all her sanity by this point. She was nothing more than a human doll who did nothing, and responded to nothing. She had did all she could for revenge. Her family eventually managed to get her to marry who they had originally arranged for her to marry, and she eventually gave birth to his son.

Of course, it was eventually found out that her child was mad. The boy tried to take his life several times, only to find that he would immediately regenerate his wounds. He would scream in his sleeps, and speak of a hundred years of complete torture. He would then die at an early age, and by an unknown cause.

This was the start of what would be known as the Shinomiya Family Curse.

Hundreds of years later, in modern day Japan, Amane Shinomiya was born, with the very same curse which has been running through the family from as far as the family could remember. She was the first born child to the main branch of the Shinomiya House.

In current Japan, the Shinomiya are no longer the powerful black market bargaining chip used by the samurais of the past. That died along with the shrine Mion had burned down so many hundreds of years ago. Now the Shinomiya family were largely a family of Shinto caretakers, as well as a major manufacturer of most items sold around shrines across Japan. Although it is not particularly well known because of the nature of their product, they now own a manufacturing company that produces everything from pens and pencils sold in shrines to good luck charms, and even as far as ema, which are often used for wishes. The company is, of course, named after the Shinomiya family, and is called the Shinomiya Corporation. Whether or not they are completely out of the shady area is difficult to say, given their history, however, on the face of it, the Shinomiya House is now a legitimate house which is not publicly known to indulge in any suspicious activities. In fact, the Shinomiya House is held in quite high standing with the majority of Shrine caretakers around Japan, and the company even provides their goods abroad.

Currently, Amane Shinomiya's parents, Shintarou Shinomiya and Eiko Shinomiya, are in joint ownership of the Shinomiya Corporation. It is a private company, and does not allow for buying off stock, so they more or less have complete control over the entire company. The only issue is that they also only hire people from the Shinomiya branch families, which means that they cannot upset the branch families with selfish, or ill thought decisions. Amane Shinomiya, despite being the first born child of the main house, is not in fact the heir to the company. The heir to the company is Amane's younger sister, Eri Shinomiya. In the Shinomiya House, since the first born child suffers from a curse, and often dies at an early age, usually before their twentieth birthday, there had been a tradition of making the next head of the Shinomiya House the second born child.

It is fair to say that Amane Shinomiya's history was far from the happiest. Her memories of her childhood are largely distorted, but she does remember she spent the majority of her childhood in hospital. In fact, she spent most of her life in the care of hospitals. It was well known amongst the Shinomiya family that the early deaths came about as a result of their enhanced healing capabilities, which meant that even a small cut would reduce a cursed member's lifespan. For this reason, they often kept the cursed member under close surveillance, and tried to minimise the risk of injury as much as possible. There was also the issue of Amane's sanity. She suffered from intense hallucinations, delusions, and even had several personalities. Fortunately, Amane was often Amane, however, there was also another personality who had shard Amane's body almost as long as Amane had. That was Eriza. Eriza, was in fact, probably the barrier between keeping Amane from going complete insane. Eriza was the one who held back the nightmares that the curse brought.

Well, she did not hold them back, she simply just suffered in Amane's place.

It was noted by the doctors that Amane was considerably more mentally stable than the past cases of what the doctors dubbed "Shinomiya Syndrome", but little did they realise that it was only because her most twisted personality made sure to not to take control when the were doctors around. Of course, personalities such as Maria did cause problems for Shinomiya, which is why she was still kept under constant surveillance. Thanks to her life being spent largely in hospitals, she mainly read books, and she was "hospital schooled" by experienced tutors. She was definitely a lot further ahead than any other student of her age in terms of study, however, in terms of her social capacity, she had near enough none. Even when she was allowed to go to school, which was every so often, she found it impossible to communicate with others on a friendly level. Her mind had become far too geared towards study. She ignored greetings, and attempts of small talk completely, and only answered questions related to a study topic. Even at the schools, she found their work to be far too easy. Of course she would, she was privately tutored, and since she was in hospital, had no other choice other than to read books. Asides from books, she did also have one other source of comfort. The piano and violin. The Shinomiya family had actually "bought" a room in the hospital that Shinomiya was kept at, so it was more like her room rather than a hospital. She could have whatever she wanted in it, including her grand piano. Since the Shinomiya family had a history of keeping patients in the hospital, it was considered only humane to allow the family to purchase a room, for it would most likely be the room the sick member of the family would spend their entire life in.

Of course, Eriza was not about to let that happen. Eriza made a promise. A promise to herself, and to Amane that she would break the family curse. Not for the family, but for Amane.

Despite this promise, even Eriza was unsure how exactly she would go about breaking a curse that has haunted the family for hundreds of years. The Shinomiya House had already tried almost everything. They rebuilt the shrine that Mion had burned down, they kept the shrine under good maintenance, and they even expanded it to make it bigger than it had been previously, but none of that worked. The curse continued, and continued, and continued. There were many times that even Eriza dropped into despair, with no idea of how she could go about breaking the curse.

It was then, a month from entering Hyakuji High, she came. A girl who referred to herself as Lady Erika Charlotte-Maria Dernbach von und zu Bernkastel-Kues.

The girl came as a visitor to the hospital. It was the first time anyone outside of the family, besides tutors, had come to visit Amane. Amane was simply going to ignore her. She looked like any other school going girl her age, despite looking on the European side. She didn't care about some girl she had never met, but that would completely change once the girl said her first sentence. "Impressive, the Shinomiya family are still around? I would have thought the curse would have wiped your kind out a long time ago." Those words were enough. Enough to bring Eriza out. The family curse was only known to be a curse amongst family members, and even the doctors referred to it as "Shinomiya Syndrome" rather than the Shinomiya Curse. Eriza demanded to know who the girl was. "I am Bernkastel-Kues, a Witch. I may be able to help you with your little curse. Of course, I also have my own conditions."

The two spoke for some time, Eriza was suspicious of this girl, but she seemed to know everything about the Shinomiya family. She knew almost the entire history of the Shinomiya family, and even know things that many family members knew nothing about. Eriza decided to ask what the condition was. Eriza realised she really had no other choice besides to accept the witch's help. If she didn't, what other route was there? "The condition is that we must share a body, and you must move to Hyakuji and enroll into the high school there. I can pass onto you my immortality, so you needn't worry about your life being shortened. I also will require control, as I too, have things I must attend to." It was strong terms, and Eriza had no idea whether or not she was lying or not. Bernkastel-Kues had already proved herself to be a witch by using magic, but Eriza still had her doubts. Witches were known for their trickery and deception, but, could things really get worse than they already were? Amane was already suffering from a broken mind, so, even with a witch, it couldn't get any worse, could it? As a shrine maiden, Amane would no doubt be against this, however, Eriza had no allegiance to the family. No, quite the opposite. Eriza hated the Shinomiya name. It was because of them, Amane and her had to suffer.

Perhaps to spite the Shinomiya, or perhaps to keep her promise to Amane, Eriza accepted the witch's terms.

Now all that remained was the issue of being allowed to be discharged from hospital. It was an incredibly easy feat for Bernkastel-Kues, however. All she had to do was simply take control of the body for a few weeks and show that she was completely sane. Eriza had also gained some control over the curse's regenerative properties, so she could was able to make it appear as if her regeneration had also become weaker. It only took a few weeks for the doctors to be confident that Amane could be discharged. Of course, no sooner than Amane was discharged, she told her parents she was moving to Hyakuji to attend a high school there. After a thorough research into the school, her parents thought that would be the best course of action for Amane to take, and Amane was allowed to leave for Hyakuji.
Erika Charlotte-Maria Dernbach von und zu Bernkastel-Kues's History
[/td]
So, who exactly is Lady Bernkastel-Kues, the mysterious witch to is claimed to wield magic capable of driving the sane to insanity?

Kues is as mysterious as her line of work. Her origins are completely unknown, and even her magic is a complete mystery to other witches. Kues was also banned from a group of powerful witches known as "Walpurgisnacht", or simply as Walpurgis. These were a group of witches that would play games, often involving humans, and bet against each other on what the outcome would be. Amongst these witches were the Witch of Catastrophe, and the Witch of Dreams. Kues, however, was banned because of her reputation of cheating, or rather, bending the rules. She did not necessary aim to win, she was more known for simply obstructing games and mocking other witches. This was Kues's idea of having fun. The fact that she never actually used magic in front of any other witch also gave the witches of Walpurgis a strong dislike towards Kues.

Of course, Kues did not spend the majority of her time playing games like many of the other witches. She instead, in contrast to the witches of Walpurgis, dedicated most of her time actually with humans. Well, many humans wouldn't recognise the type of humans Kues spent her time with as humans, but they were genuinely humans. The people Kues would choose to spend her time with her those who operated within underground societies. That may be from assassins to illegal traders, from information brokers to fencers of stolen goods. Kues was part of a black market society known as the "Verbrecherwelt", and was in fact one of the most powerful members of the group. Under the trade name of "Rabenschwarz", she was known to be able to get absolutely anything, for as long as it existed. She had become somewhat of a legend within black market circles. Of course, she was also notoriously difficult to find if you did not know her. Thanks to this, it was only nobles who really ever had the resources to be able to track her, and trade with her, and this of course meant that Kues was always paid well. Nobles were generally keen traders of illegal goods. They largely traded drugs, weapons and information.

Of course, the name Rabenschwarz would exist in the blackmarket for hundreds of years, and it eventually truly did become a legendary name which the very existence was questioned by many.

Even during the time of pirates, Kues had her part. Kues never did give her loyalty to anyone, however, she did often hire pirates, or was hired herself, to be on a voyage. She got to see a lot of the world this way.

On one voyage, Kues ended up in Japan. Of course, this wasn't her first time in Japan, and Kues knew the Japanese black market as well as she knew any other black market. This voyage was a little different, however. A girl from a family know as the "Shinomiya House" came in search of her. Kues did have to warn the pirates not to kill her, and luckily, the pirate followed her orders. Not that it would have been wise for the pirate not to. The girl had asked about a young samurai known as "Terumasa Honda". Of course Kues did. She knew about the Shinomiya House, and their secret branch family made up of assassins. It was from Kues, after all, where many learned how to get in contact with these assassins. As a broker of information, she could exchange information for information, and as a witch, she was able to use her magic to assist in her getting information. In other words, her methods were backhanded, which was more or less living up to her name, after all, she was banned from Walpurgis for using backhanded methods.

Kues told the girl what she wanted to know, and of course, Kues followed up on it. Admittedly, Kues took a great deal of pleasure witnessing the Shinomiya girl's expression when she had discovered the fate of her lover. Kues didn't care for how she felt, Kues only cared about getting a moment of entertainment, which really made her no better than any of the other witches in Walpurgis. Of course, the Shinomiya girl was not aware that she was being used for the witch's entertainment. Instead, the Shinomiya girl returned to Kues, and asked for a way to get revenge against her family. This was truly more than what Kues had hoped for, and inside, she was overjoyed to have such an entertaining girl come to her. She told the girl to destroyed a certain shrine, and the girl did. Following that, the Shinomiya girl would discover a curse, a curse that would do exactly as she wanted. A curse that would allow her to claim revenge against the family that the girl came to hate so much. The best part about this was that, for Kues, she could return anytime she wanted, and see how the curse was effecting the family. She could go back whenever she wanted, and see how much pain they were going through. Just the anticipation of this alone was enough to cheer the witch up.

So, what exactly did Kues do for the hundreds of years that followed this event?

Well, much like the rest of Kues's history, nobody really knows. She did pop up every now and again to ruin whatever witch happened to be playing their game, however, at this point, Walpurgis was a few members down. Kues did however manage to play some (not so) friendly games against the members of Walpurgis as well as some of the former members. Those were the Witch of Catastrophe, and the Witch of Dreams, just to name a few. Of course, the Witch of Dreams seemed to have taken up a new name, and now went about calling herself Nietzsche. She also seemed to be lacking in a lot of her memories, it looked as if she didn't even remember what Walpurgis was. She was, of course, one of the former members of Walpurgis. The Witch of Catastrophe, however, appeared to still be in Walpurgis.

So, there was absolutely nothing for these hundreds of years?

Well, more or less.

There was, however, another significant part to Kues's life. One that was quite recent, in fact. It hardly explains what Kues has been doing for the last hundreds of years, but it at least gives some details onto her recent life.

Kues was now known in the black market under many names. Rabenschwarz, Kurobara, and Higanbana were simply just to name a few. There were a few more, however, they were very rarely used. Under all her names, however, she was known as a legendary dealer. As long as it existed, whether it be information, or physical goods, she would be able to get it without fail. However, these names have been around for hundreds of years, and many questioned the very existence of Kues. Kues, of course, had a number of contacts, however more or less none knew her true identity. Even nobles were largely unable to discover Kues. Perhaps every half a century, or so, someone would eventually stumble upon her, however, Kues was a lot more exclusive than she had been in the past, and the same client never found her twice.

Well, that was until a certain man came seeking for her.

Well, he was close to a boy at this time. It was rather shocking, actually. Large companies, such as the Yakuza and various countries' mafias, had insweatered billions of dollars in searching for Kues, however, they failed, despite Kues actually having regular dealings with the Yakuza families and more or less every single mafia in existence. This boy, however, managed to find her by insweatering almost nothing but his time. It rarely happened, but Kues was impressed.

So, what purpose did this boy have, going through all the hassle of discovering who Rabenschwarz was?

Immortality. He came seeking for immortality.

Honestly, she was taken aback. He had actually asked for something which she could not grant. She may have been a witch, but she could not make people immortal. Well, it wasn't as if the fact that she was a witch was public knowledge, in fact, at this time, only the witches she had played games with knew Kues was a witch. Either way, he had asked for something impossible. Perhaps even the Witch of Dreams couldn't grant such a great desire. Kues told him this, and the boy then changed his request. This time he requested for the legendary Rabenschwarz to find a way to make him immortal. Of course, she laughed it off, and gave the boy a deal. That deal was for the boy to create a successful company, and then find her for a second time. If he did, she would join it, and work under him, while at the same time trying to discover a way to make him immortal. He agreed. Before he left, Kues decided to ask for his name.

His name was Arthur St. James. The man destined to become chairman of a company which would be known throughout the world. The GENCOM Corporation.

Kues, of course, did not expect either. How could he possibly create a successful company? On top of that, nobody had found Kues more than once for hundreds of years. The chances he would be able to actually create a successful company, and discover Kues for a second time were almost impossible.

Of course, the key word here was almost, as a year later, that very thing happened.

Arthur St. James had found Kues, yet again, and this time, was now a chairman of a growing biotechnology company known as GENCOM. Admittedly, she was speechless. She decided that, for this one time only, she would honour her side of the deal. She joined GENCOM, as direct of secondary international sales. In other words, if the first division couldn't get something, the secondary division would. That's right, she operated the black market side of the company. At the same time, she began to use her resources to also discover a way to make a human ascend mortality. She had a few ideas. One of them was alchemy, and by creating a Philosopher's Stone, or an Elixir of Life. Of course, the only person she was aware to have such alchemy skills was the Witch of Dreams, however, she had been missing for almost three hundred years at this point. Kues had also wanted to see if the Witch of Dream's wishes could possibly grant immortality, although, she ranked this as highly unlikely. She of course, used her resources as a witch to try and discover a way for immortality too, however, given her reputation, many witches tended to stay as far away as they possibly could from Kues, and were all but willing to tell her anything. Asides alchemy, the only other way Kues could possibly think of to discover immortality was through biotechnology.

Kues told Arthur that there was little else they could try outside the field of biotechnology if he wanted to live passed the age of normal humans.

The GENCOM Corporation would eventually develop into a company that not even Kues could have envisioned. It became one of the biggest corporations known throughout the world and attracting the attention of the media of every country. Honestly, this made it difficult for Kues to operate her side of the business, but she still managed it. What Kues was more worried about was her "project". Within the company, kept under the highest level of secrecy, was a project known as Project "Unsterblichkeit", otherwise known as Project Immortality. This was Kues's own personal project, which aimed to successful allow a human being to live forever. However, this project had only one benefactor in mind, and that was Arthur, chairman of the GENCOM Corporation. However, there was an unfortunate lacking in the side of progress. Knowledge of alchemy in the modern age was thin, and not nearly enough to create a Philosopher's Stone or Elixir of Life. Many leads into so called artefacts which could restore youth, or bring about eternal life, proved to be false.

All that was left was biotechnology. Of course, the biotechnology did have its successes, unlike the other routes Kues had tried.

Through biotechnology, they had managed to enhance the Chief of Security, Devon Easterling's body. Although they could not make him immortal, they were able to improve almost every aspect of him, from strength to speed, and intelligence to reflexes. This was still far from what Arthur wanted, however, and Arthur was not at all pleased with the lack of progress on Kues's part. For the first time ever, Kues found herself apologising to someone. A human, to round it all off. Also, perhaps for the first time, she also actually meant it when she apologised.

It wasn't too long after this that Arthur got married, and Kues actually found herself a little jealous. She tried to shrug it off as a natural result of knowing someone for so long, but this was obviously not the case. She was however pleased that Arthur chose to allow the biotechnology department to work on his daughter, perhaps since it meant that at least some of Kues's work went towards Arthur's daughter. It didn't seem Arthur treated his wife, or daughter, any better than he treated anyone else, which pleased Kues. Eventually, the GENCOM Corporation moved its headquarters to Africa, where Kues accompanied Arthur, and left behind his wife and daughter, much to the pleasure of Kues.

In Africa, Kues spent most of her time dealing with the more dangerous parts of the country, associating herself with the various gangs, as well as researching their magic. She was interested in what the Witch Doctors believed in, and wanted to see if they had any practices that would extend a human's life. Of course, they all proved to be failures, and it looked as if yet again they would have to continue on the route of biotechnology. By this time, Arthur was getting increasingly impatient with Kues's constant failings, and she was beginning to grow more and more desperate. Kues began using her contacts to gather people for "experiments" for her project. Of course, more or less ended in complete failure, but this didn't stop Kues from trying. Kues, by this point, was willing to sacrifice the entire human population if she had to. She even went as far as using her contacts to capture witches to use in these experiments.

Then things went from bad to worse. A scandal hit the company, and for the sake of mitigating the damage done to the company image, they were forced to move their headquarters.

Their new headquarters would be Hyakuji.

It looked as if Arthur's daughter would also be moving to Hyakuji. Strangely enough, it was Kues who would be in charge of taking care of her while she was in Hyakuji. Kues accepted, quite happy that she was the one asked to take care of his daughter, however, she decided that she would have to prepare a suitable history in order to keep her real identity under the floorboard. She went to visit a family that she had associated herself with in the past.

The Shinomiya family.

Much to Kues's surprise, they were still very much in existence, and seemed to be not much different than when Kues had first had contact with them. Kues met with the girl who was currently suffering from the Shinomiya Curse, so that she could assess whether or not her identity would be a suitable disguise to enter the school. She went to meet with Amane Shinomiya, although, ended up speaking to Eriza. It was quite shocking the will Eriza displayed, retaining sanity despite the curse. Kues decided to make a deal with the Shinomiya girl. Although, Kues would never expect Eriza to have a will superior to her own. It didn't take long until Eriza made clear her supremcy over the body, although, luckily enough she was willing to let Kues do what she wanted, whenever she wanted, for as long as Eriza would be left undisturbed in her quest to find a way to rid herself of this curse.

Now that Kues had a suitable identity that would conceal her true identity, she enrolled into Hyakuji High School, and made sure that she would share a room with Arthur's daughter, Emilie Renata St. James.

All that was left was to finally transfer.
Synopsis
[/td]
Thanks to a tragedy that once occurred in the Shinomiya Family's past, a family with strong ties to the Shinto religion, and has cared for shrines for hundreds of years, the main house has now suffered from a curse that has haunted the family for hundreds of years, and still does to this very day. Eriza has recently enlisted the help of a witch known as Bernkastel-Kues, and now seeks to find a way to bring an end to this curse, so that Amane, Shinomiya's real personality, can live a life of peace. On the recommendation of Kues, Shinomiya has now moved to Hyakuji, where she will attend high school. Kues, on the other hand, will continue to operate dark side of the GENCOM Corporation, as well as search for a certain something.

Hyakuji History
[/td]
While the Shinomiya Family, as well as Amane Shinomiya and Erika Bernkastel-Kues, all have an extensive history before Amane Shinomiya and Erika Bernkastel-Kues arrived at Hyakuji, there has been a great deal of events that the pair have been involved in during their time in Hyakuji.

While the history written previous to this describes Amane and Bernkastel-Kues's pasts before coming to Hyakuji, the Hyakuji History section for each character continues on their past, describing the events they have experienced after having come to Hyakuji and up until leaving Hyakuji for Senk Academy.
Hyakuji History - Amane Shinomiya
[/td]
- Chapter I -
「Hyakuji High」
Since coming to Hyakuji High, Amane Shinomiya has experienced a wide range of things that she had not experienced in the past. As a person who has spent most of her life in hospital, she struggled with being around people her own age, and socialising was far from her strongest point. The frustration of being forced into an unknown situation would often make her break into a fit of anger, and often resulted in Amane Shinomiya shouting and scolding people for minor things. In fact, her time at school often had her stressed more than anything. Of course, Amane Shinomiya was relieved that her symptoms had reduced significantly, and she was not having hallucinations as much as she had been in the past. However, the new experience of being around people for the first time in her life made things very stressful for her.

In the begin, Amane Shinomiya's only peace was when she could go and work at the shrine after school. It was at the shrine, Amane Shinomiya felt most at peace, and felt as if she could truly enjoy herself, and take things slowly. To many, it would appear that Amane Shinomiya was a workaholic, who spent all her free time either at studying at school, working at the shrine, or studying in her room. This was not an inaccurate view of Amane Shinomiya, however, she did most of this to distract herself from the sudden transition from a silent hospital room to a busy school environment.

It did take some time before Amane Shinomiya actually managed to gradually become used to being at school. Fortunately for Amane Shinomiya, she had the shrine to go to after school and on weekends to help her relax, which was perhaps what saved Amane Shinomiya from succumbing to the stress of her new life.
- Chapter II -
「The Student Council」
Once Amane Shinomiya had gotten used to life at Hyakuji High, Amane Shinomiya decided to apply for the Student Council. After an incident involving the elections, Amane Shinomiya was appointed as the Student Council President. As the Student Council President, she became somewhat well known amongst the students of Hyakuji High. The campaign team she had during the Student Council elections became the new Student Council body, and although Amane Shinomiya didn't particularly get along with everyone in the campaign group, she did allow them to remain on the council.
- Chapter III -
「A Short Break」
Unfortunately, however, Amane Shinomiya was required to return to her home so that she could go through a series of medical checkups. Amane Shinomiya left Shoukyo Sakusei as the Student Council President while she was absent. When Amane Shinomiya returned, after passing all of her medical examinations, she returned to her position as Student Council President, although, the membership of the Student Council President was very different, with some new members now present, and some old members no longer present. On the whole, however, the Student Council membership was very much the same as it had been before. Perhaps thanks to this, Amane Shinomiya was able to peacefully return to her duties as the Student Council President, and went on to organise several events for the school including a Summer Festival.
- Chapter IV -
「The Bernkastel-Kues Corporation Shares」
Outside of the Student Council, and working at the shrine, Amane Shinomiya really hasn't done much, especially in comparison to Bernkastel-Kues. Amane Shinomiya was given one hundred percent of the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation shares, however, this was more an act of Bernkastel-Kues, and even Amane Shinomiya is mostly unaware that Bernkastel-Kues had done this. Amane Shinomiya is aware she is in possession of these shares, however, she has not confronted Bernkastel-Kues over it, mainly because it is the business of Bernkastel-Kues, and Amane Shinomiya honestly has no interest in what Bernkastel-Kues does.
- Chapter V -
「Frederica Weiss」
Amane Shinomiya did manage to meet a new friend, or rather, initially someone that enjoyed to follow Amane Shinomiya everywhere Amane Shinomiya decided to go. Frederica Weiss, the President of the Newspaper Bureau, the natural enemy of the Student Council.

Initially, Amane Shinomiya met Weiss in order to tell Weiss that she was to reorganise the Newspaper Bureau because they have been doing very little of late, and that they needed to be more organised, however, Amane Shinomiya discovered that Frederica Weiss never attended school in school uniform, which resulted in a very long lecture from Amane Shinomiya. After that, you would expect Weiss to keep her distance from Amane Shinomiya, however, quite the opposite, Weiss decided that she would follow Amane Shinomiya everywhere she went, whether that were the school, or the shrine, or even a flower shop.

To be honest, Amane Shinomiya initially disliked Weiss, although, as time went by, Amane Shinomiya and Weiss began to develop an odd bond of friendship, and in the end, Amane Shinomiya actually considered Weiss a friend, although, she would not say it out loud. If anyone were to ask Amane Shinomiya directly, she would probably just accuse Weiss of being her stalker, which was pretty accurate in all honesty. Despite this, however, Amane Shinomiya does consider Weiss her best friend, and actually enjoys her company despite how angry Amane Shinomiya tends to be around Weiss.

Amane Shinomiya now continues her life as the President of the Student Council, while at the same time being stalked by Weiss, and sometimes her own cousin, Kanade Shinomiya...
- Chapter VI -
「Marriage」
In comparison to Erika Bernkastel-Kues, who spent her time doing as she pleased and entertaining herself, Amane Shinomiya was very different, and spent most of her days doing the same thing. Go to school, get stalked by Frederica Weiss, student council duties, shrine duties, school work, and so on.

Well, there was one day that was a little different...

Yuki Tsukiyoru, a shrine maiden and friend of Amane Shinomiya had returned from France. While Amane Shinomiya was selling omikuji, Yuki Tsukiyoru commented on how quiet the shrine was, and suggested that they did something special to attract people to the shrine. Amane Shinomiya gave a few suggestions; however, it appeared that Yuki Tsukiyoru seemed to have misunderstood one of Amane Shinomiya's suggestion and interpreted as the two should put on a fake wedding.

Needless to say, Amane Shinomiya did resist at first, but finally agreed to it after some pushing. However, unlike Yuki Tsukiyoru, Amane Shinomiya seemed to take the whole wedding thing a lot more serious...

Amane Shinomiya went as far as to go into town and buy wedding dresses to wedding rings. Rather than enjoying the fake wedding, Amane Shinomiya seemed to have adopted the mentality that it is a real wedding, and that it must be taken seriously...

On arrival back at the shrine, the overly serious Amane Shinomiya presented Yuki Tsukiyoru with the authentic wedding goods, and was even prepared for the wedding in her kimono which was to be specifically used for special occasions such as weddings. While Yuki Tsukuyoru probably didn't realise it, Amane Shinomiya was taking this wedding dead seriously.

During the ceremony, Amane Shinomiya remained as nervous as someone who was really getting married, and not even the sake used for the wedding ceremony was enough to calm Amane Shinomiya's nerves.

Let's just hope that Amane Shinomiya doesn't actually consider herself married to Yuki Tsukiyoru...
- Chapter VII -
「The Music Club」
After Amane Shinomiya's (fake) wedding, she returned to her normal life. Needless to say, Amane Shinomiya was occasionally awkward around Yuki Tsukiyoru after the wedding, but that was really down to Amane Shinomiya's personality more than anything. Who knows if Yuki Tsukiyoru has noticed anything yet.

Either way, Amane Shinomiya somehow continued living her life as she had done in the past.

Some time after the (fake) wedding, the music club was formed, and Amane Shinomiya joined as a member of the music club. As a person who could play both the piano and violin, she put herself up for either position, and was given the position of pianist.

The music club have yet to have their first session, and so far Amane Shinomiya has only had the chance to meet with the music club president, Hiriko.
- Chapter VIII -
「Intermission」
Recently, Amane Shinomiya hasn't really been doing much outside of her normal life. Besides tending to Hyakuji Shrine, conducting work for the Student Council, and being irritated by Weiss, Amane Shinomiya hasn't done anything noteworthy.

Amane Shinomiya did have an awkward encounter with Lamia. A new student at the school who Amane Shinomiya appened to meet, and took some time to adjust to the girl's... differences. Then again, even when Amane Shinomiya did become used to how the Lamia's body looked, she would probably never get used to the Lamia's personality... Which was what made the encounter so awkward. Of course, there was only one person that it could be. Nikki Styx. Although, Amane Shinomiya hasn't seen her for some time now...

In addition to the encounter with the Lamia, Amane Shinomiya had another encounter, although a lot less awkward and a lot more frustrating at the shrine. A girl by the name of Renga Kishi this time. Of course, not that Amane Shinomiya did ask her name. Amane Shinomiya was far too busy shouting at the poor girl for disrespecting the shrine... Then again, Amane Shinomiya wasn't totally in the wrong. After all, you're not supposed to put your hand in the shrine's offering box... Even if a phantom thief did hide a letter or something in it.

Speaking of phantom thief, whatever did happen to Phantom Thief B?

Actually, whatever happened to that request...? Actually, maybe it is better we not ask...

After that, there was once again a long period of nothing interesting. The next thing that would happen of note worth would be that Amane Shinomiya along with Frederica Weiss found themselves on a cruise. How exactly? No doubt by winning some kind of competition, or something along those lines. Of course, Amane Shinomiya being Amane Shinomiya, and Frederica Weiss being Frederica Weiss, it both started and no doubt ended awkwardly. Frederica Weiss not only fell in love with Amane Shinomiya, but also became a lot more forceful and direct in her efforts...

How did it end? Nobody knows. Well, hopefully either Amane Shinomiya or Frederica Weiss would know. Not that Amane Shinomiya would tell anyone. Frederica Weiss, on the other hand, probably would...

It was also around that time Amane Shinomiya's younger sister, Haruka Shinomiya moved to Hyakuji City, or more specifically, moved in with her at the Rabenschwarz Towers penthouse. However, Amane Shinomiya being the workaholic that she is, she hasn't had the time to spend with her younger sister... Then again, that is probably for the best considering Haruka Shinomiya ended up seeing part of the cruise incident... Well, at least Amane Shinomiya doesn't know her younger sister saw it...

Finally, the most recent thing to happen to Amane Shinomiya in this short intermission. Amane Shinomiya, just after New Years Day, was working at the shrine. Needless to say, Frederica Weiss was there. As always, Frederica Weiss did what she did best. Something random. This time, Frederica Weiss decided she would build snowmen all over the shrine grounds, and needless to say, Amane Shinomiya was far from pleased to find snowmen invading the shrine grounds. However before Amane Shinomiya could finish her shouting at Frederica Weiss, a cat girl cosplaying as a shrine maiden and a near naked man made their appearance. Needless to say, Amane Shinomiya could only take so much in one day and ended up leaving the shrine grounds with Frederica Weiss following behind her...

「Die Drei Reiche: Kreuzung - Chapter 1」
Finally, the latest chapter in Amane Shinomiya's life. Amane Shinomiya has found herself in a world that is both as familiar as it is unfamiliar. Memories of both Hyakuji High and a Kingdom known as the Atla Kingdom. A world she belongs in, but at the same time, does not belong in.

Amane Shinomiya is the Cardinal of Zwei City, located in the Este Region of the Atla Kingdom. A region ruled by the Ichinomiya Family, one of the families that make up the Four Great Noble Families, the four noble families that rule over the Atla Kingdom.

She has found herself in a cathedral located in Saphias City, the capital of the Atla Kingdom. The cathedral, known as the Saphias Grand Cathedral, the most grand cathedral in all of Alteria, the name of the continent that the Atla Kingdom is located. A continent dominated by three great nations, with the Atla Kingdom being one of them. Alongside the Atla Kingdom was the Imperial Regnitz Empire and Democratic Republic of Cierra.

At that cathedral, Amane Shinomiya met a familiar face, or rather two familiar faces. Sophia Antistita, the vice president of the Student Council, and Frederica Weiss... The best friend of Amane Shinomiya, even if she may not openly admit it, while at the same time her worst enemy. The three found themselves present for an important meeting. A meeting that would reveal that the King of Atla Kingdom, Henrik Theobald Rosengarten, had been assassinated by an unknown culprit and that on the same night, at around the same time, Calixte City, a neighbouring City State of the Atla Kingdom, was completely annihilated with the cause still unknown...
- Chapter X -
「Valentines Day 2015 and Intermission II」
Between New Years and Golden Week, there was very little that Amane Shinomiya did that was out of the ordinary. Amane spent most of her days keeping herself busy with Student Council work and taking care of the Hyakuji Shrine. Needless to say, she was also kept busy by Frederica Weiss, who would not only accompany while she did work for the Student Council, but even when Amane was taking care of the shrine. In fact, Amane was probably with Weiss more than she was without Weiss at this point. Of course, not that Amane seemed to mind.

Of course, of the few notable things that had occurred, as with most years, Amane set up both the Valentines Day Ball and the Blind Date event which has seem to have become a tradition at Hyakuji High in recent years. Of course, while Amane was active in setting up these events, she did not actually take part in them much herself besides attending the Valentines Day Ball as a member of the Student Council. As always, Weiss also accompanied Amane, although for some reason, this year Weiss was wearing a Student Council armband. Did Weiss join the Student Council? Not officially, anyway. Surprisingly enough, nobody seemed to notice, but then again, perhaps that is why Amane had Weiss wear the Student Council armband in the first place...

Besides the Valentines Day events, Amane also caught one student who went by the name of Nonaka Kazue putting up questionable posters around the school. Or rather, Amane was informed by the female members of the Archery Club that a student known as Nonaka Kazue was putting up questionable posters around school. Of course, when Amane went to look, it was almost instantly confirmed. Unfortunately for Amane, Nonaka was the very type of person whose personality naturally brought out the short temper in her, and it wasn't long until Amane was chasing after the boy after he had taken pictures of her. Unfortunately for Amane, with her attention directed on erasing the pictures off Nonaka's phone, and Weiss assisting Nonaka in putting up the posters, Amane was unsuccessful in taking down the questionable posters.

As for what happened to the pictures on Nonaka's phone and Nonaka himself, it has yet to be confirmed.

In addition to these events, Amane has also finally successfully managed to persuade Weiss to restart the Hyakuji Rising Sun after so many months of it being on hiatus. However, with the articles Weiss has been publishing recently, Amane isn't really sure whether or not it was the right choice to have Weiss restart the Hyakuji Rising Sun... Especially with the recent rumours regarding Weiss and Amane's relationship that have been going around school thanks to Weiss's articles...
- Chapter XI -
「Golden Week 2015 - Part I」
The biggest event that would follow Valentines Day would be Golden Week. Now, for someone like Amane Shinomiya, you would expect Golden Week to be very uneventful. It wouldn't be wrong to expect Amane to just finish any homework given to her over the holidays and put in extra time in tending to Hyakuji Shrine. However, this year is different. This year, Amane would return to Tokyo for Golden Week!

What about Frederica Weiss, you ask? Won't she be lonely without Amane around for her to annoy? Of course, as expected of Weiss, she accompanied Amane on her trip to Tokyo for Golden Week. A trip that would last for five days, starting from the first of May, and ending on the fifth of May. Well, truth be told, it would end on the sixth of May, but since they were going home early in the morning on the sixth of May, the fifth of May would be their true last day in Tokyo.

Needless to say, the first thing the pair would have to do before arriving in Tokyo is to book a place to stay as well as the transport to get to Tokyo in the first place. Despite both Amane and Weiss coming from wealth backgrounds, it would be Amane who was burdened with not only paying for the transport, but also for the place both Amane and Weiss would be staying for the next five days. Seeing as they would be going to Tokyo, Amane decided rather than go for something traditional, she would pick a place that was much more modern and in line with the image of modern day Tokyo, which is why she picked the highest hotel in Shinjuku as the place Amane and Weiss would be staying for their five days in Tokyo. However, rather than getting the best money could afford, Amane opted for the second best room, mostly because the priciest room was only a floor higher and included a butler, which Amane would rather do without. Weiss, on the other hand, would have no doubt preferred to have a butler, but sadly for Weiss, Amane was the one paying, so they would be getting the room Amane wanted. Then again, seeing as Weiss was getting both the transport and accommodation paid for by Amane, there really wasn't much room for Weiss to be sad.

The first day of Amane and Weiss's Golden Week trip, the first of May, started with a ride on the Bullet Train. Their destination was none other than Tokyo Station. Unfortunately for Amane, within the first few moments of the Bullet Train departing the station, Weiss had already started what she did best. Annoying Amane. This time it would be her famous are we there yet routine. The perfect way to test Amane's patience early in the morning, and one that could bring out Amane's short temper in less than a single minute. Unfortunately for Amane, Weiss would also remind Amane of the articles written in the paper before once again starting the are we there yet routine. Which of the two Amane would have preferred, even Amane probably wasn't sure. However, fortunately for Amane, Weiss would eventually fall asleep. After all, Weiss was weak not only for mornings, but also leaving the house, meaning that she was only barely awake to begin with.

After finally arriving at Tokyo Station, the pair would be the last two off the Bullet Train, despite the number of times Weiss asked if they were in Tokyo yet. Shortly after arriving at the station, the pair got a taxi to the hotel they would be staying at. Park Hyatt Tokyo, one of the many skyscrapers that could be found in Shinjuku. Needless to say that the taxi ride was a nostalgic one for Amane. While Amane had spent most of childhood in hospital, it did not change the fact that she was born and raised in Tokyo, so the scenery along was enough to bring back nostalgic memories. Needless to say, as a metropolitan capital, little had changed in Toyko, and it was still the jungle of skyscrapers that Amane had remembered it to be. Weiss, on the other hand, was more interested in maid cafes than actually paying attention to the scenery.

After having arrived at the hotel, Amane and Weiss checked in, and headed to their hotel room. Room 5001, located on the 50th floor, one of the top class rooms in the hotel which provided a beautiful view of the metropolitan capital. While the 50th floor did not compare to the 70th floor Amane had grown accustomed to after having lived so long at the penthouse of the Rabenschwarz Towers, the difference in scenery made all the difference. Hyakuji was a medium sized city with very few skyscrapers whereas Tokyo was the capital city, with an endless number of skyscrapers and densely built areas. Unfortunately for Amane, it wasn't long until Weiss attempted to take the opportunity to sleep. In order to not waste their first day in Tokyo, Amane decided to let Weiss pick where they would spend their first day. It would be a decision Amane would later regret...

Why exactly? Because it was Weiss, and where else would Weiss choose to go in Tokyo other than Akihabara, the Otaku capital of Japan, if not the world. A place that made Otaku Kingdom in Hyakuji look like nothing more than a tiny store. Akihabara was practically a city in and of itself. Although, speaking of Otaku Kingdom, there really were some memories Amane would rather do without... Fortunately for Amane, Weiss was more than enough to keep her from recalling the traumatising memories of what she had heard at Otaku Kingdom. Actually, whether it was fortunate or not is debatable consider that the only reason Amane didn't recall what had happened at Otaku Kingdom was because Weiss was giving her more traumatising memories. Not only would the pair pass through a street filled with maids of varying stereotypical personalities, Weiss would also somehow actually manage to persuade Amane to go to one of these maid cafes.

However, this was only the start of Amane's day. At the maid cafe, Amane and Weiss met a girl known as Akari Yoshida, a first year student at Hyakuji High, and unfortunately one of the many students who had heard about the rumours regarding Amane and Weiss's relationship. Needless to say, seeing Amane and Weiss at a maid cafe only reinforced Akari's beliefs in those rumours. After trying and unsuccessfully impressing Amane and Weiss with her family's dango house, Amane's luck would only sour as Akari used her powers of being a main character to force both Amane and Weiss into her party.

I know. What you're wondering is when did main characters have the power to force people into their party? Amane's tsundere personality trait and Weiss's personality trait means that Akari can force the pair into her party regardless of wether or not they accept. After all, a tsundere isn't supposed to accept, and Weiss's lazy trait means she is too lazy to decline. With Amane given the role of the tsundere party member and Weiss given the role of the person who plays on Amane's tsundere characteristics, the two are now forced to along with whatever Akari, the main character, has in plan.

「The Botanical Club」
After returning from Tokyo, there was once again a short period where Amane Shinomiya did very little noticeable with her time. As always, she spent most of her days attending to Student Council work during school hours and mostly tending to the Hyakuji Shrine outside of school times. As always, Frederica Weiss was there to accompany Amane, and when she was not caring for the Hyakuji Shrine, she would instead accompany Weiss on whatever it was the two decided to do outside of school hours.

However, it was during one of these typical days that Amane came across an interest club application. An application requesting permission to restart the Gardening Club under the new name of the Botanical Club. The Gardening Club, as the name suggests, was a club dedicated to Gardening, and a club Amane intended to join when it was first established, but was unfortunately unable to do so because of the limit placed on the number of members who could join the club, as well as shortage of time on her own part. Even more unfortunate is that the Gardening Club was eventually unofficially disbanded due to the dying interest in the Gardening Club, and the increasingly busy schedules of the members in it, which made their activity drop little by little, until there was nobody left.

Regretting having not joined the Gardening Club when it was around, Amane decided that she would apply for the Botanic Club, and join as a member. Needless to say, despite Weiss's unwillingness to join, Amane also forced Weiss into joining. After signing both herself and Weiss up for the Botanic Club, the pair made their appearance during the Botanic Club's first official meeting, which would apparently double up as both a meet and greet event, and an opportunity to clean the areas the Botanic Club would be using after they had gone into disuse with the unofficial disbandment of the Gardening Club.

It would be at this meeting where both Amane and Weiss would meet the club president, Haruka Fukusawa, who ironically shared the same first name as Amane's younger sister, Haruka Elise Shinomiya, albeit written in a different kanji. Amane would also have the opportunity to meet with Sayo Rie, the vice president of the Botanic Club, and a person she would end up shouting at for not contributing to the cleaning of the Botanic Club areas. A couple of familiar faces were also about such as Sara Valestin, the Physical Education teacher as well as both Amane and Weiss's new homeroom teacher, and Misora Fujioka, a student Amane had indirectly met during several lessons. Of course, while Misora and Haruka proved to be contributive members of the Botanic Club, there was a certain group who Amane felt were not quite as contributive to the group, and those members were Sayo, Weiss and Valestin, although Valestin was technically the advisor rather than a member. Regardless, even Valestin would not be spared from Amane's perfectionist ideals.

Of course, the first meeting had only just started, and there would no doubt be more interesting people to join as well and interesting events to happen.

「Farewell to Hyakuji」
Unlike others in Hyakuji City, Amane Shinomiya had a long period where she did very little outside of her everyday tasks. Amane Shinomiya's days simply consisted of attending school and working at the shrine in her free time like she has always done. Of course, as anyone know was familiar with Amane Shinomiya would know, much of that time was spent with Frederica Weiss. Even when Amane Shinomiya works at the shrine, Frederica Weiss was often with her despite having no association with the shrine other than Amane Shinomiya.

Even during the period of the Link Joker invasion, Amane Shinomiya and Frederica seemed to have somehow found themselves outside of all the chaos. In fact, Amane Shinomiya and Frederica Weiss were so removed from the events of Link Joker that they didn't even happen to meet a single Reversed. Of course, while Amane Shinomiya did never come across anything related to Link Joker, she did hear about the events and has a general idea of what happened. Frederica Weiss, on the other hand, probably didn't pay enough attention to know any details regarding the incidents involving Link Joker.

While Amane Shinomiya and Frederica Weiss were not directly involved in the events related to Link Joker, the effects it had on Hyakuji City were very clear. Well, very clear for Amane Shinomiya, at least. Amane Shinomiya and Frederica Weiss were never involved in any of the many events and dramas that occurred, however even then, Amane Shinomiya couldn't help but notice that after the events related to Link Joker, Hyakuji City had become a much more quiet city. Of course, compared to any other city, Hyakuji City was still an eventful location, but when compared to the Hyakuji City before the events of Link Joker, it was undeniable that Hyakuji City had become a much more quiet city.

Of course, Amane Shinomiya and Frederica Weiss being the pair that they were, they found themselves living very ordinary days now that Hyakuji City was a lot quieter than it was. Amane Shinomiya's days would pretty much consist of waking up and getting ready for school before going to Frederica Weiss's house to wake her up and persuade her to also get ready for school. Once at school, when not in lessons, Amane Shinomiya spent most of her time carrying out various Student Council duties while Frederica Weiss did her best to get in the way of those duties. After school and on weekends, Amane Shinomiya would ever spend her time carrying out Student Council duties or working at the Hyakuji Shrine, and as expected, Frederica Weiss would often be with Amane Shinomiya, often being more of a distraction than of any help.

This simple life continued until the end of the academic year came, and Amane Shinomiya and Frederica Weiss entered their third and final year of high school. Well, at least, they would be after the short spring holidays. While Amane Shinomiya and Frederica Weiss had assumed they would be spending their final year of high school in Hyakuji High School, with the construction of Senki Academy in the Miyazaki Prefecture and the huge potential to for business, Erika Bernkastel-Kues and the senior executives of the Rabenschwarz Group had no intentions of remaining in Hyakuji City. While Frederica Weiss may not have cared enough to pay much attention to what was going on in Kaneshima Island, thanks to Erika Bernkastel-Kues as well various sources of news, Amane Shinomiya was aware that there was a school being built on Kaneshima Island catering towards students with unique gifts, just like Hyakuji High. However, unlike Hyakuji High, which was struggling with lack of funds, Senki Academy was backed by a wide range of private and government organisations, and funding was far from a problem for Senki Academy. It was exactly because of the enormous amount of funding going into Senki Academy, the Rabenschwarz Group saw it as a perfect opportunity to expand business, and more important, increase profits.

As for Amane Shinomiya and Frederica Weiss, neither of the two had any intention of transferring into Senki Academy or moving to Kaneshima Island. While the pair did have their own unique traits that would have made them perfect candidates for Senki Academy, neither of the two had any interest in perfecting their powers to interacting with others who had powers. In fact, Amane Shinomiya and Frederica Weiss were perfectly happy with living a normal life and attending a normal school. After all, Amane Shinomiya and Frederica Weiss didn't have traits that were so out of control they couldn't live a normal life. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Both Amane Shinomiya and Frederica Weiss had absolutely no problems controlling their powers and should they want to, the pair would have no problems hiding their powers. In fact, if Amane Shinomiya had to be honest, she would have preferred to have attended a school for normal people rather than Hyakuji High. Needless to say, Erika Bernkastel-Kues was well aware of this, and that the presence of Senki Academy would not add any appeal to Kaneshima Island to Amane Shinomiya. In fact, Senki Academy was more likely to have the opposite effect.

However, while Amane Shinomiya may not be aware of it, Erika Bernkastel-Kues is a lot more intelligent and manipulative than even Amane Shinomiya credited her for. Erika Bernkastel-Kues also knew Amane Shinomiya a lot better than Amane Shinomiya even knew herself. Rather than trying to make Kaneshima Island appeal to Amane Shinomiya through Senki Academy, Erika Bernkastel-Kues appealed to Amane Shinomiya's vanity, and sense of importance of obligation. While Kaneshima Island was a large island as far as islands went, it had relatively nothing on. In other words, there were many opportunities to contribute and add to Kaneshima Island. Erika Bernkastel-Kues, instead of making Senki Academy the focus of Kaneshima Island, appealed to Amane Shinomiya by suggesting that Amane Shinomiya use the opportunity to make her own school. Of course, Amane Shinomiya being Amane Shinomiya, immediately took a liking to the idea of being able to create her ideal school. Of course, Erika Bernkastel-Kues fed this by subtly suggesting ideas that Erika Bernkastel-Kues was more than aware would influence Amane Shinomiya. Needless to say, one of the suggestions Erika Bernkastel-Kues made was an girls' school, although it would seem that Amane Shinomiya never did catch on to why exactly Erika Bernkastel-Kues precisely suggested that.

In the end, Amane Shinomiya did decide she would follow up on Erika Bernkastel-Kues's suggestion and founded the Shinomiya Educational Foundation, a group entirely separate from the Shinomiya Corporation, a company owned by Amane Shinomiya's parents. The Shinomiya Education Foundation, unlike the Shinomiya Corporation and the Rabenschwarz Group, is a non-profit school administration group set up to found and administrate the Shinomiya Girls' High School, a private high school Amane Shinomiya had successfully managed to get permission to establish. Despite it being a high school set up by a high school student, there was immediate interest in the Shinomiya Girls' High School thanks to the big name sponsors behind the private high school. As well as the Shinomiya Corporation, a well known company amongst followers of Shinto, the Rabenschwarz Group and Weiss Foundation are also major financial sponsors for the high school, with the three financial groups providing all the funding the Shinomiya Girls' High School to both start up and run. Of course, thanks to having such prominent names backing the Shinomiya Girls' High School, the high school was able to charge high end school fees and still manage to fill all available spaces.

Of course, Amane Shinomiya did not simply set up the Shinomiya Girls' High School so that she could run it. In fact, while Amane Shinomiya is one of the main directors of the school, she has left much of the administration of the school to representatives from the financial sponsors while Amane Shinomiya has opted to attend the Shinomiya Girls' High School as an ordinary third year student. Needless to say, with the Weiss Foundation also being one of the financial sponsors behind the Shinomiya Girls' High School, Frederica Weiss would also be transferring to the high school along with Amane Shinomiya. After all, Frederica Weiss seemed to be prepared to follow Amane Shinomiya wherever she went, and Amane Shinomiya seemed to drag Frederica Weiss wherever she went.

With the Shinomiya Educational Foundation approved and the construction of the Shinomiya Girls' High School complete, Amane Shinomiya and Frederica Weiss made their move to Kaneshima Island, where they would begin their new school year as third year students in a new school.

Hyakuji History - Erika Bernkastel Kues
- Part One -
[/td]
- Chapter I -
「The GENCOM Corporation」
Since coming to Hyakuji, a lot has happened to Bernkastel-Kues.

Originally, when Bernkastel-Kues came to Hyakuji, she was working in at the GENCOM Corporation, which is how she originally came to Hyakuji in the first place. Initially, Bernkastel-Kues has in charge of a special sales department that held a legitimate legal front, however, its true purpose was to deal in the blackmarket, and gather information about rival companies as well as acquire illegal goods which may benefit the GENCOM Corporation. Bernkastel-Kues was also in charge of a project that would allow a human to transcend mortality, and cheat death. This, however, all took a very dramatic change shortly after Bernkastel-Kues arrived in Hyakuji.
- Chapter II -
「The Bernkastel-Kues Corporation」
Bernkastel-Kues initially did her job as she was supposed to, however, it wouldn't be too long until the founder of the GENCOM Corporation, and his family disappeared, and left the GENCOM Corporation in the hands of Bernkastel-Kues, making her the CEO of the company. Bernkastel-Kues was essentially given all the power the Saint James family had over the GENCOM Corporation, who were initially the founder of the company, with the head of the Saint James family as the president. Bernkastel-Kues was even given the penthouse located on the top floor of the GENCOM Corporation Headquarters, which one belonged to the Saint James family.

Of course, there were some issues with Bernkastel-Kues being handed so much power, and there was troubles. In order to prevent those troubles from getting out of hand, Bernkastel-Kues directed a huge amount of the GENCOM Corporation's funds into the establishment of a new company. The Bernkastel-Kues Corporation. Unlike the GENCOM Corporation, who were a security and biological company, the Bernkastel-Kues was established as a games developer, who developed both gaming hardware and gaming software. The Bernkastel-Kues Corporation used a lot of the GENCOM Corporation's innovations in order to give themselves an advantage in the industry, and thanks to those advantages, the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation managed to become a prominent business corporation. Of course, Bernkastel-Kues was both the founder and CEO of the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation, and along with being the CEO of the GENCOM Corporation, Bernkastel-Kues became such a powerful business figure, not even the senior staff at the GENCOM Corporation could go against Bernkastel-Kues.

Perhaps the most interesting fact about the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation was that the shares of the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation did not belong to the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation, but instead, a young high school student by the name of Amane Shinomiya. She was given the entire shares of the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation. There is, of course, a lot of speculations about why Amane Shinomiya was given the entire shares of the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation, however, at the time, there was nothing anyone could do to prevent this.

With the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation established, Bernkastel-Kues was able to slowly buy up the shares of the GENCOM Corporation under the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation. This, ultimately, ate away at the shareholders power and gave Bernkastel-Kues more and more power until eventually she had complete control over not only the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation, but also the GENCOM Corporation.

After all that, however, it would appear nobody knows what has happened to the Saint James family to this very day. There is suspicion that Bernkastel-Kues had something to do with their disappearance, however, since there is no evidence, nothing can be proved. There can only be speculations, rumours and theories about what happened to them. Many, of course, revolve around Bernkastel-Kues, as she is the primary benefactor of their disappearance.

However, even without evidence, there is good reason to suspect Bernkastel-Kues. After all, her track record is anything but clean.
- Chapter III -
「Snow Queen」
While in Hyakuji, Bernkastel-Kues met with a girl in her twenties who was once part of a gang in America. Bernkastel-Kues was familiar with the gang, and had heard of their untimely demise. The leader of the gang was killed, and it was presumed that Queen, an infamous member of the gang, had also been killed. However, that would be proved wrong as Bernkastel-Kues had the opportunity to meet Queen. Their first meaning proved to be quite interesting, and perhaps to the distaste of Queen, Bernkastel-Kues had taken an interest in the girl, and decided to give Queen the honour of her company. In the end, Bernkastel-Kues eventually recruited Queen to be the Head of Security at the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation, as well as become Bernkastel-Kues's personal bodyguard.
- Chapter IV -
「SIGINT」
It was at around this time, Bernkastel-Kues had also learned of an infamous hacker from Russia who had moved to Hyakuji, and was attending the highschool, Hyakuji High. Somehow, or another, Bernkastel-Kues was also successfully able to recruit the young hacker into the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation, and formed the Second Production Team, with the young Russian hacker at the head of it. Queen was also made the head of the Third Production Team. With all the new staff, and the success of the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation, Bernkastel-Kues was able to expand, and have their headquarters moved to a much larger building.
- Chapter V -
「Junot Lohr」
However, this was not the end of the interesting recruits. Somehow, or another, a young German man had managed to place himself on the list of appointments for the CEO of the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation, who was of course Bernkastel-Kues herself. After an interesting job interview, Bernkastel-Kues decided that he would make a suitable addition to the staff of the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation. It went without saying that the young German man's goals weren't as simple as get a job at the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation, and there was no doubt in Bernkastel-Kues's kind that the young man had an ulterior motive for joining. Fortunately for the young German man, Bernkastel-Kues found that interesting, and decided to give him the job despite his suspicious desire for the job position. Then again, it was suspicious to begin with. After all, with a name like Junot Lohr, Bernkastel-Kues was hardly likely to notice someone with a German name had made an appointment. The fact that she didn't see the name until the morning of the appointment was a dead giveaway that he had a goal, and that he wasn't just any ordinary applicant.
- Chapter VI -
「METRO - Natsuki」
Outside of the busy workplace that was known as the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation and GENCOM Corporation, Bernkastel-Kues was also taking part is some less legitimate activities.

One day, Bernkastel-Kues received an odd email from an unknown sender claiming to be from an organisation known as METRO. Bernkastel-Kues had heard the name in passing, however, at the time knew very little about METRO given their secrecy. Bernkastel-Kues would soon find out that METRO was in fact a group who simply played games for entertainment. Now, this does sound harmless when worded as much, however, their games were far more dangerous than simple games you would expect of an internet chat group. Bernkastel-Kues's first game was to meet with a young girl who attended Hyakuji High who went by the name as Rio Natsuki, and give her an experience she would never forget.

Of course, in the midsts of things, it would appear Bernkastel-Kues had completely forgotten the objective of her game.

Instead of giving Natsuki an experience she would never forget, Bernkastel-Kues ended up making Natsuki's life even more troubled, and in the end even tried to kill Natsuki by pushing her off from a building in the tens of stories. Fortunately for Natsuki, she was saved by the member of METRO who had initially given Bernkastel-Kues the game to play. It would have appeared he was satisfied with Bernkastel-Kues's performance despite having had to save Natsuki from falling to her death.
- Chapter VII -
「METRO - The War」
The second encounter Bernkastel-Kues would have with this mysterious organisation was when she received an email asking her to meet at Izanagi Park. This time, however, Bernkastel-Kues had done some research on METRO, and discovered some of their past games which included acts of terrorism. Bernkastel-Kues had even learned that Natsuki had survived her fall thanks to the help of a certain member of METRO.

Bernkastel-Kues attended the meeting at Izanagi Park, and came face to face with various other members of METRO. In all honestly, many of them seemed very reluctant to be there, and none of them seemed at all like the man who had first introduced Bernkastel-Kues to METRO. Oh, Bernkastel-Kues also had Queen come along dressed as a giant mushroom. Bernkastel-Kues also decided to show up as Amane Kues rather than her usual forms. Eventually, the man who had first introduced Bernkastel-Kues to METRO made his appearance, and explained why he had gathered them all at Izanagi Park. Bernkastel-Kues, and those who attended the meeting with her, all learned that there would soon be a war in Hyakuji between two gangs, with the winner taking Hyakuji as their territory. That's more was that it would appear that these members were either a part of METRO, or were once part of METRO. Needless to say, the others who attended the meeting wanted to do all in their power to prevent this war from breaking out, however, Bernkastel-Kues had an entirely different agenda on her mind.

Instead of attempting to prevent the gang war, Bernkastel-Kues did the opposite. She announced the gang war to the entire METRO chatroom, and to her surprised, it sparked quite a huge response from all over the world. Many members of METRO appeared to be opposed to METRO despite being part of it, however, it would seem that most of the members shared one thing in common. They all had an interest in the gang war that would be taking place in Hyakuji, and what was perhaps worse (or better, in Bernkastel-Kues's case) was that many were planning to take part in it. Even the two leaders of the two gangs who were originally going to war had their say on the matter. Of course, with the war now made public to the entirity of METRO, the gang war was no longer between two gangs, but now a free for all for those who wanted to take part. It would only be moments later until someone took first blood, or what appeared to be first blood, when a bomb was detonated where the man who contacted everyone to meet in the first place stood, taking him out.

Whether or not he was still alive or not was unknown. Bernkastel-Kues was under the impression that someone like him would have more than likely survive the blast, but she couldn't be sure. Instead, Bernkastel-Kues invited Queen to become a member of METRO so that she could catch up on what had happened. It would also turn out that one of Amane Shinomiya's classmates would invite Bernkastel-Kues, or rather, Amane Kues out to dinner. Needless to say, Amane Kues was more than happy to accept such an interesting offer, especially since it had been made at such an interesting time. Not many would invite a warmonger out to dinner, especially immediately after seeing a man blown up before their very eyes.
- Chapter VIII -
「Xiuying Zhuge」
However, it was not only METRO which Bernkastel-Kues used to pass her time with.

Fortunately for Bernkastel-Kues, an old friend from the past was also in Hyakuji. Lieselotte Nietzsche, the Witch of Witches, who was Bernkastel-Kues's junior. Nietzsche had been in Hyakuji for some time, before Bernkastel-Kues had even arrived, and Nietzsche was in an odd situation where Nietzsche found herself sealed into a human soul. That human happened to be a person that Nietzsche wasn't very fond of. Xiuying Zhuge, the human that Nietzsche had the misfortune to be sealed in.

To call Nietzsche and Bernkastel-Kues old friends is entirely inaccurate, however. It would be more correct to say that they were enemies. Nietzsche, to put it lightly, hated Bernkastel-Kues, although, Bernkastel-Kues didn't particularly have any opinion of Nietzsche. At the time Bernkastel-Kues and Nietzsche had known each other in the past, Nietzsche was still a young witch, and certainly didn't particularly stand out of the crowd, or at least in Bernkastel-Kues's view, Nietzsche didn't particularly stand out. Nietzsche was a witch, who was a member of Walpurgis. The members of Walpurgis, as well as many other witches, hated Bernkastel-Kues. Bernkastel-Kues was even banned from the Senate, a group of witches who thought themselves as being the overseering body of the Sea of Kakera. In other words, Nietzsche really wasn't any different from any other witch Bernkastel-Kues had the pleasure of knowing. It was perhaps fortunately for Nietzsche that Bernkastel-Kues wasn't particularly interested in Nietzsche, after all, when Bernkastel-Kues shows an interest in a person, it is often not good. Rio Natsuki is probably a good example of what happens to a person when Bernkastel-Kues decides to take interest in them.

However, it would seem that Nietzsche's dislike of being stuck with Zhuge was more than enough to have Nietzsche ask Bernkastel-Kues for help.

Nietzsche requested Bernkastel-Kues, along with a handful of other witches, to help prepare a game that would serve as Zhuge's funeral. Bernkastel-Kues was, of course, more than happy to help, especially after what Nietzsche had offered Bernkastel-Kues for her help. Bernkastel-Kues was placed in charge of Kaizo Gene's stage, after all, Kaizo Gene was the participate of the first game Nietzsche and Bernkastel-Kues had after Nietzsche decided to show herself again, or rather, finally awakened from her long sleep.

Perhaps to Nietzsche's surprise, Bernkastel-Kues completely reversed the last game Bernkastel-Kues and Nietzsche had previously had. In their last game, Bernkastel-Kues and Nietzsche made a bet. That bet was that Nietzsche would win if Kaizo Gene killed. The game set up was specifically made in order to give Kaizo Gene a reason, and several opportunities to kill. However, unfortunately for Nietzsche, Kaizo Gene didn't take any of those opportunities. In this new game, however, Bernkastel-Kues had successfully driven Kaizo Gene into massacring an entire city. Also, unfortunately for Nietzsche, Bernkastel-Kues has a remarkable memory, and is capable of remembering things about people from hundreds of years ago. Bernkastel-Kues had a sadistic play around with what she knew was Nietzsche's one emotional weak point. Eventually, after going so far, Nietzsche was forced to prevent the game from continuing any further.
- Chapter IX -
「The Senate」
However, despite that, Nietzsche did fulfill her end of the deal. Nietzsche officially re-established the Senate, and admitted Bernkastel-Kues an official Senator, despite having been banned from the Senate in the past. Nietzsche was only able to do this because of the Senate collapsing after Nietzsche was sealed away for hundreds of years, and Bernkastel-Kues saw this as a good opportunity to toy with the witches of both old and new. Fortunately for Nietzsche, there was very few who knew of Bernkastel-Kues personally, and therefore Nietzsche didn't have much opposition when introducing Bernkastel-Kues back to the Senate. However, even amongst the newer witches, Bernkastel-Kues's reputation was far from good, and even many of them were disgusted by some of the rumours and stories that they had been told about Bernkastel-Kues.

The Senate was re-established, and to celebrate its reformation, the Senators held an openning Game, giving the players a chance to pick what kind of Game they wanted to play. The Senators were, of course, Nietzsche and Bernkastel-Kues. Along with them were three younger witches. Alexandra, Albstadt, and Schweich. Bernkastel-Kues was the oldest of the Senators with Nietzsche following as the second. Following those two was Albstadt, and then Alexandra. The youngest, who Bernkastel-Kues did happen to recognise, was of none other than Schweich. Needless to say, none of the other Senators were at all fond of Bernkastel-Kues, and in fact, either disliked or hated Bernkastel-Kues.

The first Game that would be chosen as the openning game to the Senate was a Game suggested by Lenny Barrons. It was a Game of love, and Nietzsche designed Lenny Barrons's idea into a dating simulation styled competition between the players. Needless to say, Bernkastel-Kues made some moves that wouldn't have been seen as completely fair, and that only worsened the views the other witches had of Bernkastel-Kues.

Although, as things were going, it appeared that Bernkastel-Kues and Nietzsche were actually getting along. Even the hosts the two witches selected seemed to be odd friends. Nietzsche's chose a vessel to reside in while she recovered her magical powers, and that vessel was Frederica Weiss, a young German girl who seemed to have grown awfully fond of Amane Shinomiya, not that Bernkastel-Kues had any problem with this. In fact, Bernkastel-Kues found the situation to be quite amusing. It was made even more amusing by the fact that Amane Shinomiya actually gradually grew to like Frederica Weiss.

However, Bernkastel-Kues had nothing to do with Frederica Weiss. Instead, Bernkastel-Kues's time was spent with Nietzsche. To begin with, one could have considered Bernkastel-Kues and Nietzsche friends. The type of friends who would not admit they were each others friends. However, as time went on, that idea was soon crushed, or at least, on Nietzsche's side of things.
- Chapter X -
「The Four Kings - Wisdom」
Bernkastel-Kues had learned of an internet stream that might have been of interest not only to herself, but also Nietzsche, and Bernkastel-Kues was more than aware how technologically incapable Nietzsche was. For this reason, Bernkastel-Kues decided to invite Nietzsche over to her penthouse so that they could watch the stream together. The man who was streaming was a man who went by the name of Tiger, and claimed himself to be an anarchist who was completely against the government. He was seeking the great wisdom of man, and was using the internet as a source for answers. To be honest, Bernkastel-Kues had to admit that using the internet to gather information on the greatest wisdom of mankind was certain a good idea. However, it was clear that he already had a certain kind of wisdom in mind. However, through this opportunity, it would have appeared to anyone that Bernkastel-Kues and Nietzsche were, without a doubt, friends to a certain degree.

As the stream went on, the man who called himself as the Tiger gave everyone on the stream an opportunity to meet him at a museum located in Hyakuji. Needless to say, Bernkastel-Kues and Nietzsche attended the museum meeting. Queen also made an appearance, after all, she was also in the chat when the stream was going on. At the museum, Bernkastel-Kues and Nietzsche learned that Tiger was looking for mankind's greatest wisdom as it was part to a contest between four idealists who were given the chance to have their ideals realised through a wish. In order to get this wish, the four had to win each part of the challenge. Of course, Nietzsche seemed to show a lot more interested than Bernkastel-Kues did. Bernkastel-Kues grew bored at this point, and even playing cards with Nietzsche and Queen was preferable. While Tiger acquired what he was after, Bernkastel-Kues left the museum along with Weiss. It was perhaps the first time Bernkastel-Kues had actually spoken to Weiss.

However, this wasn't the end of the Four Kings stage. The next encounter would be with another King, or rather Queen, and unlike the first King, Bernkastel-Kues would actually find some amusement in this one. Nietzsche, on the other hand, would turn out anything but amused.

Saigyouji. An ancient spirit of the past, much like Bernkastel-Kues and Nietzsche. Although she was not a witch, she had a similar technique to the witches. She was able to construct a spiritual world in a dream, and contact people through that spiritual realm. Saigyouji was looking for the same thing the Tiger was looking for, which more or less gave away that she was one of the four contestants that the Tiger had mentioned. Of course, Bernkastel-Kues was still not interested in the contest. Nietzsche appeared to have some interested, but Bernkastel-Kues had no interest whatsoever.

However, Bernkastel-Kues's interest did start to pick up once Saigyouji actually took Bernkastel-Kues's answer to the great wisdom. Bernkastel-Kues suggested war as the greatest wisdom. It was a well thought out answer. Far from it, it was actually something that Bernkastel-Kues had just thought of off the top of her head. Based off Bernkastel-Kues's answer, Saigyouji created a world where two kingdoms were at war. The North Kingdom and the South Kingdom. Bernkastel-Kues and Nietzsche were members of the South Kingdom's Council. The two kingdoms had just formed a pact of peace, and while Nietzsche was attempting to keep the peace, Bernkastel-Kues advocated for war. Unfortunately for Bernkastel-Kues, however, the South King was not the type for war. Instead, he was the type of person that bored Bernkastel-Kues the most, and was more Nietzsche's type of person. Someone who wanted to do things in a peaceful and calm way, with as little conflict as possible.

However, this was not enough to stop Bernkastel-Kues from continuing to push for war.

While Nietzsche continued to humour the south king, Bernkastel-Kues travelled to the North Kingdom, where she yet again adovacated for war, and this time, succeeded. Bernkastel-Kues, in a matter of moments, completely destroyed the peace pact between the two kingdoms, and restarted the war.

It was at this moment when things would truly spark off.

Ambushing the South Kingdom's soldier, Bernkastel-Kues made an unexpected attack which left the South Kingdom's soldiers in chaos. However, instead of targetting the south king, Bernkastel-Kues had her eyes on another target. Bernkastel-Kues, after breaking through the lines of the South Kingdom, attacked Nietzsche, and used her own ability to negate magic to destroy any protection Nietzsche had from Saigyouji's spiritual world. This resulted in Bernkastel-Kues completely destroying a part of Nietzsche's soul. To be specific, Bernkastel-Kues had completely destroyed Nietzsche's right eye. Since the damage was done at soul level, Nietzsche would not have any physical damage done to her eye. Instead, Nietzsche would just simply be unable to see from it ever again. No doubt, since the damage was done at soul level, it was far more severe than any injury that could be done to the eye physically. After all, when it is done at soul level, there is no chance in regaining what you have lost. This act alone had completely destroyed any sense of companionship Nietzsche had had with Bernkastel-Kues, however, in had the reverse effect on Bernkastel-Kues. Bernkastel-Kues actually began to grow fond of Nietzsche, and although it is hard to understand, Bernkastel-Kues attacking Nietzsche, and taking out her eye was simply just the way Bernkastel-Kues expressed her fondness for a person. It was no different from how she expressed her fondness of Amane Shinomiya and Rio Natsuki. It was perhaps just unfortunate for Nietzsche that Bernkastel-Kues's way of showing her fondness for a person had such devastating effects for her.

It has been some time after that event, and although Nietzsche appears to be suffering from her disability, Bernkastel-Kues continues to live her life on as if nothing had ever happened.

「The Dernbach Research Group」
With the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation and GENCOM Corporation growing at such a rate, their reputation was spreading fast, and so were their business ventures. The GENCOM Corporation began to expand into cyber security as well as providing more services in the security sector. The Bernkastel-Kues Corporation began to expand into the music and picture industry, and while their profits did not quite match the GENCOM Corporation, for a recently started corporation, their reputation was growing fast, which meant there were a lot of people becoming interest in the two corporations.

It wasn't long until a girl who went by the name of Sun-hwa Heo came to Erika Bernkastel-Kues, offering knowledge about a new technology in exchange for the money to continue her research. The young girl was from South Korean, and proved to be a genius. Erika Bernkastel-Kues agreed to found the Dernbach Research Group, a group that would be headed by Sun-hwa Heo, and who would research the discovery that Sun-hwa Heo had claimed to have made. This technology soon became known as Orbments, a device that acted similar to electronics, but instead of require electricity which required fossil fuels or other forms of energy, Orbments used Quartz, which naturally became charged with energy over time making them the perfect devices in terms of energy consumption.

Thanks to Sun-hwa Heo's research, basic technologies such as torches turned into very complex technologies such as vehicles and computers. Sun-hwa Heo had even developed military uses for Orbments. Quartz appears to possess some magical properties which with the correct equipment allowed people to use magic. The equipment that allowed regular people to use magic via the use of Quartz became known as Tactical Orbments, and the first generation of Tactical Orbments, NOVA, was soon tested and deemed a success. NOVA is now a weapon that can be purchased by countries for military use as well as by the Bracer Guild, who have been given a special license to use Tactical Orbments for the purposes of monster extermination.
- Chapter XII -
「The Rabenschwarz Group」
With the continued success of both the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation and the GENCOM Corporation, Erika Bernkastel-Kues decided to form the Rabenschwarz Group. The Rabenschwarz Group would act as the administrating body of both the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation and GENCOM Corporation. There was also another big change to be introduced. Both the Bernkastel-Kues Corporation and GENCOM Corporation were reorganised and made into the Bernkastel-Kues Holdings Corporation and the GENCOM Holdings Corporation. Both corporations turned into corporate groups whose jobs were to oversee the corporations under their field of control. For the Bernkastel-Kues Holdings Corporation, this meant the entertainment industry which consisted of the the Kues Digital Entertainment Group and the construction industry which consisted of the Bernkastel-Kues Civil Engineering Group. After purchasing the Kudo Building Corporation for a cheap price, after it had been discovered the corporation was managed by a yakuza group, the Bernkastel-Kues Holdings Corporation expanded into the civil engineering industry. The GENCOM Holdings Corporation retained its field of control with the GENCOM Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Corporation and GENCOM Private and Cyber Security Corporation under its management.

In addition to this change, the Dernbach Industry Group was both announced and formed. The Dernbach Industry Group was to be headed by Sun-hwa Heo, and the corporation would deal exclusively with products produced from Orbment technology. The corporations under the Dernbach Industry Group would be the Dernbach Light Industries Corporation, the Dernbach Heavy Industries Corporation and the Dernbach Tactical Armaments Corporation.

Finally, with the birth of the Rabenschwarz Group, each corporation would be given a new headquarters which would become known as the Rabenschwarz Towers. The Rabenschwarz Towers, a group of five towers, each acting as a headquarters for each corporation in the group as well as one spare tower. Construction was, of course, done by the Bernkastel-Kues Holdings Corporation through the Kudo Building Corporation while the electronic equipment was provided by the Dernbach Industry Group.

With the plans announced and work began, Sun-hwa Heo was made the president of the newly formed Dernbach Industry Group while Steven Armstrong, a famous American businessman, was made the president of the GENCOM Holdings Corporation. With some overlap between their businesses, the Dernbach Industry Group and GENCOM Holdings Corporation became business rivals thanks to the inside competition system that the Rabenschwarz Group had set up. Tensions between the two corporations grew and grew, and until the Rabenschwarz Towers's constructions was to be completed, the two corporations were made to share a headquarters which only increased the tensions between the two corporations.
- Chapter XIII -
「The Four Kings - Courage」
Of course, while Erika Bernkastel-Kues continued building her business empire, or rather, leaving it to others to build her business empire, Erika Bernkastel-Kues continued to play with whatever took her amusement.

It was soon stage two of the plans which the four kings had in play. First, wisdom. Second, courage.

While Erika Bernkastel-Kues was not quite aware of this yet, she continued to play the games which the four kings had set up. The second involved courage.

This time, Saigyouji had set up a meeting at a cafe. Needless to say, Nietzsche had come, and the sight of Bernkastel-Kues didn't please Nietzsche at all. Even Erika Bernkastel-Kues knew why Nietzsche had come to the gathering. It was to find out whether or not she would regain her sight after what happened during the last game, when Erika Bernkastel-Kues had pierced her eye with a sword. The answer was obvious to Erika Bernkastel-Kues, and while Lieselotte Nietzsche was probably in denial, it was without a doubt even she knew the answer.

The damage done was permanent. Erika Bernkastel-Kues had damaged Lieselotte Nietzsche on a soul level, and that kind of damage was irreversible for someone like Lieselotte Nietzsche, who had no regenerative powers.

After Nietzsche had gotten her answer, it wasn't long until Saigyouji forced all those who had gathered into another game. However, unlike the last game, Lieselotte Nietzsche wasn't prepared to take any chances. Without even considering staying to play the game, Lieselotte Nietzsche attempted to escape, and did escape. Needless to say, Erika Bernkastel-Kues did try to stop Nietzsche, but was unsuccessful, and was forced to leave the game with Lieselotte Nietzsche.

After leaving the game, Lieselotte Nietzsche and Erika Bernkastel-Kues would find that they were the only two to leave the game. Well, Lieselotte Nietzsche did bring a young girl with her, one that looked too young to be a high school student, but at the same time, seemed to be a friend of Nietzsche. Nietzsche seemed to be quite desperate to protect her from Erika Bernkastel-Kues, which practically confirmed her as Lieselotte Nietzsche's friend. Of course, as a CEO of a corporate group, it wasn't long until Erika Bernkastel-Kues realised it was Kayo Kikuchu, the daughter who was heir to a large corporation.

However, unfortunately for Erika Bernkastel-Kues, her fun for the day would end there. That was, until the next game the four kings had planned.
- Chapter XIV -
「The Four Kings - Chaos」
After some time had passed, the third and final part of the four king's game was revealed to Bernkastel-Kues, along with a lot of information about the games the four kings were playing.

Abe, one of the four kings who Erika Bernkastel-Kues had met in the past, offered Erika Bernkastel-Kues information in return for her help with his preparations. Needless to say, Erika Bernkastel-Kues accepted, entrusting Abe with Akane Kondou, one of the strongest members of the GENCOM Holdings Corporation's security force. Erika Bernkastel-Kues gave her the job of helping Abe with his preparations which would involve placing devices around Tokyo.

In return, Bernkastel-Kues learned a lot about the four kings' games, and enough information to get in Saigyouji's way.

Needless to say, Erika Bernkastel-Kues went to obstruct Saigyouji. It was disappointing to see that Lieselotte Nietzsche didn't show up, but Bernkastel-Kues wasn't expecting to see Lieselotte Nietzsche after getting her question answered. Plus, Lieselotte Nietzsche more than likely knew Erika Bernkastel-Kues would show up, so it really was in her best interest that she didn't show up. After all, the last person Lieselotte Nietzsche wanted to meet was Erike Bernkastel-Kues after what Bernkastel-Kues had done to Nietzsche's eye.

Unfortunately, Saigyouji wasn't going to be playing the four kings game much longer. Instead she seemed to have decided to get in the other kings way but informing the people of Hyakuji what the four kings were going to do for the third and final round of the games. Rather than continue meddling, Erika Bernkastel-Kues decided to leave, and that would become the last time Erika Bernkastel-Kues would meet with any of the four kings.

Or at least, that is how things would seem.
- Chapter XV -
「METRO - The Bernkastel-Kues Headquarters」
After Erika Bernkastel-Kues's short episode with the four kings, she was once again given the chance to play one of METRO's games. Or rather, Erika Bernkastel-Kues would finally see the result of the mayhem she had caused during the last METRO game.

This time, an old friend of Erika Bernkastel-Kues, as well as a fellow member of METRO and businessman made an appointment to meet with Erika Bernkastel-Kues at the Bernkastel-Kues headquarters.

His name was Anubis, and he brought Seth Ryouga along with him.

Needless to say, Anubis seemed to be irritated by Bernkastel-Kues's actions, especially since Anubis was one of the original people in the gang war which Erika Bernkastel-Kues had turned into an all out war. However, Anubis seemed to be satisfied with Erika Bernkastel-Kues's odd answer to why she had done it. While it seemed Anubis read through Erika Bernkastel-Kues's obvious lie, he seemed satisfied with Erika Bernastel-Kues's answer at any rate.

Of course, that was not the sole objective of his meeting with Erika Bernkastel-Kues. Rather, Anubis had come to meet with Erika Bernkastel-Kues in order to reveal a recent creation of his. It was a living weapon, whose user was a mysterious girl, who seemed to have yet to master the living weapon. The weapon itself was a giant scythe, and seemed to have a mind of its own. It would appear that despite being the weapon's master, the young girl who was entrusted with the living weapon seemed to have a fear of the scythe. Once Anubis had activated the scythe, it threatened to kill its user before once again being deactivated.

Needless to say, this living weapon took the interest of Sun-hwa Heo, who seemed to show very little sympathy towards the user who was almost killed by her own weapon. Then again, Sun-hwa Heo was a person whose only interest was research. She wasn't well connected with humans, or people in general.

It wasn't long until a phone call from Queen would arrive. After getting permission to study the living weapon, Sun-hwa left the room along with the living weapon and its wielder, leaving Erika Bernkastel-Kues and Anubis to have their fun.

Unfortunately for Sun-hwa Heo, the Bernkastel-Kues Headquarters was suddenly attacked, and the building came collapsing in several places after a series of explosion. Erika Bernkastel-Kues and Anubis seemed to have somehow escaped, leaving Seth Ryouga as the only person left in the CEO's office. Sun-hwa Heo, and the living weapon's wielder were safe in the hallways of the Bernkastel-Kues Headquarters; however, before Sun-hwa Heo could get a chance to study the living weapon, the wielder advised her to leave the building before running off somewhere, leaving Sun-hwa Heo to simply escape the building.

「The Rabenschwarz Towers」
Fortunately not too long after the incident which resulted in the destruction of the Bernkastel-Kues Headquarters, the Rabenschwarz Towers was completed, and each corporation moved their head office to the Rabenschwarz Headquarters.

The Rabenschwarz Towers has just recently opened, and all the moving arrangements have been finished, meaning that all there was left to do was conduct and expand business so that the corporate group could grow even bigger.

Recently, the Dernbach Industry Group had discovered something interesting at Mount Hyakuji, and has put in a request to the Bracer Guild for them to research a recently opened cave which could result in even more research opportunities for the corporation.
- Chapter XVII -
「Rebellion's Walk」
Rebellion's Walk, a scenario not too unlike the kakera, but at the same time, very different from the stories of the kakera. Hyakuji, covered in a layer, or rather, another world. The existence of two worlds in one space. Yet, only those who were unfortunate would find themselves trapped in the paradox. A handful of Hyakuji High students, a group of kids, those unfortunate enough to have been at the mall, and a select others.

However Erika Bernkastel-Kues was not quite in the same situation as those who had found themselves trapped in the layer. Instead Erika Bernkastel-Kues found herself in an entirely different place. A library. That is where she would meet three others. Demian Max, Lieselotte Alexis Nietzsche, and a King without a name. It would be in this library wehere Erika-Bernkastel Kues would watch the events of the story. It would be in this library where Erika Bernkastel-Kues would learn of the stories preceding the events of this story. A story of Evray Estus. A story of Evray Estus and many others.

Erika Bernkastel-Kues learned of the layer, created by Larue Estus. Erika Bernkastel-Kues learned of his fall, and the release of Edda, otherwise known as Mara. She learned of Sophia Antistita's acts, and how it came to drive Evray Estus to complete despair, and in turn, set the stage for this game. She learned of Lorelei and her importance to Evray Estus. She also learned of her death, at the hands of Valerie Cox.

Erika Bernkastel-Kues would then go onto watch. Watch the events as they unfolded. Watch as Seth Ryouga and Sophia Antistita found themselves in the layer. As the two went their separate ways. As Seth Ryouga lost lost the chance to acquire the truth and as Valerie Cox died right before Sophia Antistita's eyes, to the hands of Celab, the man who once kept Mara from entering the world in which Larue Estus created. She event watched as the two reunited, and once again embarked together for the park located in Hyakuji.

Erika Bernkastel-Kues also watched the events that unfolded at the hospital. Triela and Sorane. Sabre and Elias. Two pairs that went very different paths. Two pairs that acted very differently. The two pairs finding themselves trapped in the hospital, a hospital where entry and exit were almost impossible... Well, one man did manage to get in. A certain mage and qualified old man. Fortunate for Triela, otherwise that particular pair would have been reduced to a single person... Or at least, Sorane certainly made it seem like that would happen if Frederic Caras-Wilhelm, the old mage, didn't manage to get inside in time.

Yet it was the experience of a certain Witch of Dreams that Erika Bernkastel-Kues would most enjoy. Lieselotte Alexis Nietzsche, the Witch who disagreed with the nameless King in the library and made her leave. The Witch of Dreams who met a young girl called Alice, or rather, a broken toy she named Alice. The Witch of Dreams who met Yamato Shintarou, a young man who couldn't pronounce her name and was given the title of the King of Idiots. The Witch who met one of the Watchers of ancient time, Penemue, responsible for teaching humans to use their wisdom. An angel that has been punished for thousands of years, forced to wait for a judgement day that will never come. Forced to have watched as everything he loved was crushed. Forced to watch his friend driven into madness and killed by a certain pair of Hyakuji High students.

A perfect birthday party for a Witch who had long stopped celebrating her age. Lieselotte Alexis Nietzsche had finally shown that she was still human. Still capable of understanding. Still capable of feeling happiness, sorrow and even regret. Yet that would be the last day she would still be human. Erika Bernkastel-Kues would watch as Lieselotte Alexis Nietzsche finally collapsed, and was no longer human. Watch as the Witch of Dreams lost all that that made her human. Happiness, sorrow and regret. Watch as those words became meaningless to the Witch of Dreams. Watch as the Witch of Dreams abandoned her own title and became the Witch of Wishes.

Well, there was an additional part to this story too. Demian Max and Erika Bernkastel-Kues. Two very different eternal beings, yet at the same time very similar. Few would ever grow to tolerate Erika Bernkastel-Kues, and it would appear that Demian Max was one of those people who could tolerate the Witch of Madness. One of the very few people who could stand the company of Erika Bernkastel-Kues. One of the very few people who would invite the Witch of Madness out. A date or not, Erika Bernkastel-Kues certainly made it seem as much as she shared her story, and Demian Max in return showed her a place of stories...
- Chapter XVIII -
「Metro - Restart」
Metro, an online criminal group, or rather gathering. A group where most simply broke the law for the fun of it. A group that no doubt Erika Bernkastel-Kues fit in very well.

It had been quite some time since METRO made their last move. Since the Witch of Madness started the chain reaction which would result in the underground criminal war between various groups competing for control of Hyakuji.

Well, at least the first chapter of that war had finally be brought to an end. The original war between two groups. A war that should have only been two groups, but ended up becoming a war of multiple sides thanks to the Witch of Madness. The head of one group, dead. Of course, Erika Bernkastel-Kues had a good idea of who had the deed carried out, and it happened that the Witch of Madness was also familiar with the particular person who carried out the deed. Queen. A member of the Rabenschwarz Group and a once infamous member of the underground criminal community.

It would seem that METRO was beginning to once again move their pieces on the board called Hyakuji...

Hyakuji History - Erika Bernkastel Kues

- Chapter XIX -
「Rebellion's Walk - The Death of Edda」
With Lieselotte Alexis Nietzsche no longer capable or motivated to remain as an actor in the play that went by the name of Rebellion's Walk, Erika Bernkastel-Kues decided to replace Nietzsche, and for the first time in the play, made her appearance on the stage. While there were many who would have been disgusted with the use of game and play being used to refer to the events which made up Rebellion's Walk, to those who were watching and directing the script, it was nothing more than a simple game, or rather, a play to certain people.

Bernkastel-Kues would make both her first and last appearance on what could only be described as both the climax and finale of the play. The moment just before the ending. Playing the Witch of Wishes, albeit with a very different role. Along with the remaining actors, Seth Ryouga and Sophia Antistita, Bernkastel-Kues made her way to the location of the finale. Izanai Park. It was at Izanai Park where Mary, along with the group Mary served as the figurehead for, the Lords of the White Mantle had gathered.

The reason they had gathered at Izanai Park? In order to capture, or rather, to conduct a ritual on a Witch known as Edda.

There were essentially three sides Bernkastel-Kues had a choice of. The side of the Lords of the White Mantle, whose goal was to capture Edda. The side of Edda, Adour and the traitorous knight known as Caleb, whose goals were to end Edda's life. Finally, the side of Seth and Sophia, whose goals were to save Edda from both the Lords of the White Mantle and a fate of death.

Of course, Bernkastel-Kues was not the type to pick and join a side. She was the type to act out of impulse. With none aware of her entrance on stage, Bernkastel-Kues used the opportunity to make a surprise attack. Bernkastel-Kues would make her entrance on stage with the sound of a gunshot. The target of the shot would be Edda. Of course, while Bernkastel-Kues was able to hit a target thanks to her experience with a gun, she was only so skilled with a gun. While the shot was aimed at a vital point, fortunately, or perhaps even unfortunately for Edda, missed her vital point, and instead simply pierced her body. However, that was sufficient for Bernkastel-Kues. After all, her intention had never been to kill Edda in the first place. It had been to play with her. The bullet that had pierced Edda, while an ordinary bullet, contained what could be considered the antimatter to magic. An energy that directly conflicted with magic, and that would both be destroy and be destroyed when coming in contact with magic.

After all, Bernkastel-Kues, despite being a Witch, could not use magic. In fact, it was the opposite. Bernkastel-Kues, unknown to almost all, has the power to destroy magic. What Bernkastel-Kues uses is not magic, but the direct opposite of magic. For this reason, for as long as this energy exists, until it is all completely destroyed, magic cannot be used. It was because of this energy, Edda was unable to use her magic. It was because of this energy, even with Sophia's use of healing magic, Edda was unable to heal from her bullet wound.

Of course, very few were welcoming to Bernkastel-Kues's presence, and it wasn't long until both Mary, or rather Tree as Kues had previously known her as, and the Lords of the White Mantle grew tired of Bernkastel-Kues's talk. Instead of entertaining the Witch of Madness, the knights that served the Lords of the White Mantle opted to attack, while Seth and Sophia did their best to try and protect Edda from the Lords of the White Mantle.

However, while Bernkastel-Kues was not an active actor in the play up until this final scene, she was an active participant in the whole play. While not appearing on stage, she did have two pieces on stage, and while those two pieces did make an introduction on stage, their contribution had only been limited to the introductory scene.

Of course, that was until the finale, when Bernkastel-Kues decided put the two pieces whose whereabouts were now unknown. After all, for as long as the audience do not know, actors can be placed into any situation regardless of whether or whether or not it is according to the script. The pieces that Bernkastel-Kues had decided to play were the pieces known as Triela and Sorane. The two pieces who made their appearances at the hospital, and whose activities had been unknown to the audience thereafter.

Using Triela to defend against the knight who served under the Lords of the White Mantle's attack, and commanding Triela to target Chime, the individual in charge of conducting the ritual, and shoot at him as a distraction, Sorane, who was hidden in the forest, took the opportunity to strike down Edda. Equiped with a Dernbach UR 25, an ultra long range sniper rifle specifically designed for assassination. With all the knights serving under the Lords of the White Mantle distracted by Sophia, Seth, Triela and Bernkastel-Kues, Sorane used the opportunity to strike. Sorane, matching the timing of her shot along with Triela, used the opportunity to strike at Edda as Sophia attempted to protect her from the knights serving under the Lords of the White Mantle. Successfully striking her target, thanks to the special round designated for killing a target with near certainty, Edda's body was burned from the inside out. Even with Bernkastel-Kues allowing Edda to heal after making the energy inside the first bullet that hit Edda dormant, there was one thing fire did well, and that was to continue burning. After all, the round that had been used was capable of creating flame inside the human. Such a flame is not easily put out, and such a flame is not easily stopped.

Of course, it didn't take long until Edda had been burned by the flame, and met her end. However, it was not the time or place that Caleb and Adour had anticipated, and while it may have been an inconvenience for Tree and the Lords of the White Mantle, it did not interfere with their plans. In fact, of the tree who were fighting at this location, it would be the Lords of the White Mantle who could have been considered to have been the victors of this battle. In te end, the ritual was completed, and Edda had died. Of course, Bernkastel-Kues's goal was not to oppose Tree of the Lords of the White Mantle. Rather, just like nature and the insanity itself, Bernkastel-Kues was simply a force. One that was unpredictable and that would act without reason. While plays go by scripts and are expected to follow those scripts, there are some things that are beyond the control of a script writer. Nature. Even a perfectly planned play can be ruined by a natural disaster. After all, no matter how hard you try and how much you plan, you can never account for the unpredictable. That was the side Bernkastel-Kues represented.

With that, the play known as Rebellion's Walk ended. The observable victor being Tree and the Lords of the White Mantle. However, behind the scenes, the gears continued to turn. There were those who existed whose goals remained unknown, and ultimately, meant that while Tree and the Lords of the White Mantle may have appeared as the victors, was this really the case?

As for the fate of Edda, while the flames may have burned away her physical body, this did not necessarily mean Edda had died. While the curtains may have drawn on the play known as Rebellion's Walk, this marked only the closing of a chapter.

「The Charlotte-Maria Financial Group and Eigenverteidigungsagentur」
While Erika Bernkastel-Kues may have come to Hyakuji originally as a Witch of the Kakera, her dealings within Hyakuji had changed very significantly during her stay. While Erika Bernkastel-Kues was still an active member of the Witches of the Senate, Erika Bernkastel-Kues found herself becoming much busier in much more public operations within Hyakuji. As CEO of the Rabenschwarz Group, along with other big names within the Rabenschwarz Group such as Sun-hwa Heo, the president of the Dernbach Industry Group and Steven Armstrong, the president of the GENCOM Holdings Corporation.

Thanks to the continued success and expansion into new areas of commerce, the Rabenschwarz Group was successfully growing at a frightening rate. While the GENCOM Holdings Corporation was originally the leading source of profit for the Rabenschwarz Group, since the Rabenschwarz Group was formally established and the Dernbach Industry Group expanded from a research foundation to a manufacturer, the Dernbach Industry Group quickly became the profit leader of the Rabenschwarz Group, far surpassing the profits of either the Bernkastel-Kues Holdings Corporation and the GENCOM Holdings Corporation. While official profits that the Rabenschwarz Group published for its child corporations were from legitimate sources, the true bulk of the Rabenschwarz Group comes from its underground operations and illegitimate dealings within the black market. Of course, thanks to Erika Bernkastel-Kues's long history and experience within the criminal underground, the Rabenschwarz Group have successfully managed to keep their black market dealings a complete secret and there exist no records of any black market dealings outside of Erika Bernkastel-Kues's knowledge, the very person who leads the black market dealings conducted by the Rabenschwarz Group. Exactly how much the Rabenschwarz Group makes from black market dealings is unknown, but it would not be an understatement to suggest that the profits made from black market dealings either match or even surpass the profits that the Rabenschwarz Group make from legitimate sources before taxes.

While the Rabenschwarz Group has grown to become a well known name internationally thanks to its frightening quick expansion and enormous success, it has been the Dernbach Industry Group which has earned itself the focus of the Rabenschwarz Group. After the production and sales of Orbments, a new technology invented by Sun-hwa Heo, started, the Dernbach Industry Group have seen an immediate and immense success of their products thanks to the merits of Orbments over standard technology. However, this success has caused a rivalry between the Dernbach Industry Group, the current profit leader of the Rabenschwarz Group, and the GENCOM Holdings Corporation, the former profit leader of the Rabenschwarz Group. This rivalry can be felt strongly throughout each of the corporate groups and the rivalry can be felt most strongly at the highest levels of each corporate group, the president of the Dernbach Industry Group, Sun-hwa Heo and the president of the GENCOM Holdings Corporation, Steven Armstrong.

However, while Sun-hwa Heo and Steven Armstrong were making a strong public presence, outside of the public and within the Rabenschwarz Group, one particular member of the Rabenschwarz Group was quickly rising through the rank and catching the attention of many senior members of the Rabenschwarz Group. Fiorella Liliana Zahradnik, a young girl who had graduated university and considered a genius in many subjects. Originally a member of staff for the Kues Music Entertainment Group who was in charge of recruiting and managing artists for the corporation, Fiorella Zahradnik caught the attention of senior members of the Rabenschwarz Group for producing an endless chain of hit artists, with every artist recruited by Fiorella Zahradnik becoming an enormous success in the music industry. In an industry as difficult as the music industry, there were very few who could ignore Fiorella Zahradnik's ability to go against low probabilities of producing a hit artist, nevermind being able to hold a record of only having recruited hit artists. Eventually even Erika Bernkastel-Kues, the CEO and Chairman of the Rabenschwarz Group, took notice of Fiorella Zahradnik. Needless to say, Erika Bernkastel-Kues being the person she was, she did not hesitate in meeting with Fiorella Zahradnik. While Fiorella Zahradnik may not have taken a liking to Erika Bernkastel-Kues, Erika Bernkastel-Kues was very quick to take a liking to Fiorella Zahradnik and it wasn't long until Erika Bernkastel-Kues offered few two positions. The position of Chief Financial Officer of the Rabenschwarz Group and the position of president of the Charlotte-Maria Financial Group, a new corporate group that the Rabenschwarz Group was planning to establish so that the Rabenschwarz Group could expand their business into financial services such as banking and investments, making someone who is able to practically foresee the outcome of probabilities such as Fiorella Zahradnik a perfect candidate. Needless to say, Fiorella Zahradnik was quick to accept both positions, confident in herself and her skills. As an executive of the Rabenschwarz Group, Fiorella Zahradnik found herself regularly being in the presence of Erika Bernkastel-Kues and Sun-hwa Heo, the president of the Dernbach Industry Group, as well as occasionally Steven Armstrong, the president of the GENCOM Holdings Corporation. While Sun-hwa Heo did see Fiorella Zahradnik as a potential threat at first, the two were quick to find many similarities and become close friends, and because of that, the relationship between Steven Armstrong and Fiorella Zahradnik has become similar to the relationship Steven Armstrong has with Sun-hwa Heo. As for Erika Bernkastel-Kues, while Fiorella Zahradnik had to now meet her on a regular basis, she was quick to learn from Sun-hwa Heo how to deal with Erika Bernkastel-Kues, and Erika Bernkastel-Kues's relationship with Fiorella Zahradnik has become a mirror of Erika Bernkastel-Kues's relationship with Sun-hwa Heo.

With the president of the soon to be established Charlotte-Maria Financial Group and Fiorella Zahradnik now leading the preparations for corporate group, the Rabenschwarz Group were in the process of preparing for the announcement of their new corporate group. However, the Rabenschwarz Group would find themselves to have another lucky turn of events as while the Rabenschwarz Group was in the process of preparing the Charlotte-Maria Financial Group, a second opportunity to expand presented itself.

The second opportunity that would present itself to the Rabenschwarz Group would be an android by the name of Eva. Eva had came to meet with Erika Bernkastel-Kues with what was initially an exchange. Eva required funds and was willing to exchange knowledge for those funds. The knowledge Eva had to offer was the knowledge required to create highly sophisticated machines that most people would know as androids and gynoids. Of course, this was a huge opportunity for the Rabenschwarz Group to expand their business into even more advanced technologies and it was a deal that the Rabenschwarz Group had no intentions of dismissing. However, Erika Bernkastel-Kues being the unpredictable person she was offered something much more than funding. Instead, Erika Bernkastel-Kues no doubt had given an offer that not even Eva could have foreseen. Erika Bernkastel-Kues offered Eva the opportunity to become a president of a corporation specialising in the development of highly advanced technologies and that Eva would not only be given a stable flow of income but also command over factories across the world. Eva accepted Erika Bernkastel-Kues's offer and the Rabenschwarz Group began preparations for the Eigenverteidigungsagentur Corporation, also known as the EVA Corporation, the corporation that Eva would become president of.

Of course, as anyone would guess, time was required in order to complete preparations for the Charlotte-Maria Financial Group and the Eigenverteidigungsagentur Corporation, however if the Rabenschwarz Group excelled in anything, it would be efficiency and speed. The preparations were completed at a frightening speed and the Rabenschwarz Group made opened a press conference where the Rabenschwarz Group announced their expansion and the two new corporate groups that would become part of the Rabenschwarz Group. At this press conference, the president of the Charlotte-Maria Financial Group, Fiorella Zahradnik and the president of the Eigenverteidigungsagentur Corporation, Eva under the name of Avella Mussano, introduced themselves and the two newly established corporations formally opened business.

- Epilogue -
「Farewell to Hyakuji」
After the events of Link Joker, none could deny that Hyakuji City had become a much more quiet city compared to what Hyakuji City had been prior to the events of Link Joker and the Reversed. While Erika Bernkastel-Kues did find this calmness increasingly boring, it was extremely beneficial to the Rabenschwarz Group as they had previously entered into an agreement which would make the Rabenschwarz Group a major partner in the establishment of Senki Academy, an academy similar to Hyakuji High School located on Kaneshima Island, a part of the Miyazaki Prefecture. With the new calmness within Hyakuji City, the appeal of Senki Academy would no doubt grow to outshine Hyakuji High School as many of the students of Hyakuji High School would no doubt find themselves with little to do.

However, it was not just the success of Senki Academy that would benefit from the calm in Hyakuji City. The Rabenschwarz Group had already started preparations to focus their business on Kaneshima Island. Kaneshima Island offered the Rabenschwarz Group the perfect opportunity to build a strong customer base as the Rabenschwarz Group predicted the rapid expansion of Kaneshima Island thanks to the introduction of Senki Academy. In other words, the Rabenschwarz Group made preparations to set up in Kaneshima Island, investing in a new headquarters named the Rabenschwarz Towers II, a replica of the Rabenschwarz Towers located in Hyakuji City. Of course, with operations planned to be continued at the Rabenschwarz Towers II and all the key members of the Rabenschwarz Group being relocated to Kaneshima Island, the Rabenschwarz Towers in Hyakuji City was freed up and unused floors began to be rented out to various other companies by the Charlotte-Maria Financial Group to be used as office spaces.

The Dernbach Industry Group and GENCOM Holdings Corporation were particularly forceful with their expansion into Kaneshima Island. The GENCOM Holdings Corporation was desperate to regain their position as the leading corporation in profits within the Rabenschwarz Group and the Dernbach Industry Group was intent on maintaining their position as the leading corporate group within the Rabenschwarz Group. The Charlotte-Maria Financial Group also made a strong push into Kaneshima Island's market, opening several branches across the island and heavily investing into the market of Kaneshima Island. The Bernkastel-Kues Holdings Corporation, unlike the other corporate group within the Rabenschwarz Group, made no real push into Kaneshima Island's market, focusing more on more populated cities such as Tokyo and the international community, as unlike the other corporate groups within the Rabenschwarz Group, the Bernkastel-Kues Holding Corporation had a broad influence without the need to make pushes into any market in particular.

While Erika Bernkastel-Kues was kept busy with the relocation of the Rabenschwarz Group's main headquarters, much of the hard work was left to Sun-hwa Heo and Fiorella Zahradnik, or rather, Sun-hwa Heo and Fiorella Zahradnik took much of the work upon themselves out of fear of how Erika Bernkastel-Kues would organise the relocation. Of course, this did not mean that Erika Bernkastel-Kues was not left with nothing to do. In fact, it could be said that this allowed Erika Bernkastel-Kues to do exactly what she needed to do. After all, while the Rabenschwarz Group did portray a legitimate image to the public, the truth of it was, the Rabenschwarz Group's involvement in the black market was just as important, if not even more important, than their legitimate operations. While Sunhwa-Heo, the president of the Dernbach Industry Group, and Fiorella Zahradnik, the president of the Charlotte-Maria Financial Group, led the relocation of the Rabenschwarz Group's legitimate operations, Erika Bernkastel-Kues led the relocation of the Rabenschwarz Group's black market operations. This involved using Erika Bernkastel-Kues's influence within the criminal underground to gain the favour of various criminal groups focused on Kaneshima Island as well as the Miyazaki Prefecture and other groups within Kyuushuu. Needless to say, the long time allies of Erika Bernkastel-Kues, the Kudo-Kai, strongly contributed to the Rabenschwarz Group's ability to get a strong foothold within the black market of Kaneshima Island and the Kyuushuu region as a whole.

Of course, this was not the only thing keeping Erika Bernkastel-Kues busy before her move to Kaneshima Island. In order to move to Kaneshima Island, she had address the problem of Amane Shinomiya, who was no doubt more than happy to continue living in Hyakuji City. After all, Amane Shinomiya had made a very close friend, Frederica Weiss, and was the president of the student council at Hyakuji High School. In fact, there was very little reason for Amane Shinomiya to agree to move to Kaneshima Island. Of course, Erika Bernkastel-Kues could have simply have parted ways with Amane Shinomiya and let Amane Shinomiya stay in Hyakuji City while Erika Bernkastel-Kues accompanied the Rabenschwarz Group to Kaneshima Island, however it would seem that Erika Bernkastel-Kues had taken a strong interest in Amane Shinomiya, and instead opted to persuade Amane Shinomiya to move with her and the Rabenschwarz Group to Kaneshima Island.

Fortunately for Erika Bernkastel-Kues, after having known Amane Shinomiya for such a long period of time, Erika Bernkastel-Kues was well aware of what kind of person Amane Shinomiya was and how to go about persuading Amane Shinomiya to move to Kaneshima Island. Unfortunately, Amane Shinomiya showed absolutely no interest in Senki Academy, already having a high degree over her own powers and having little interest in meeting others with similar powers. In fact, Amane Shinomiya would have rather she attended a regular school of normal people rather than a school for irregulars such as Hyakuji High School and Senki Academy, and Erika Bernkastel-Kues was fully aware of this. Even Amane Shinomiya's closest friend, Frederica Weiss, shared the same sentiments as Amane Shinomiya. After all, Frederica Weiss did not actually have any irregular powers unlike the majority who attended Hyakuji High School. Of course, Kaneshima Island did have one other high school on the island, however it was a state school which, largely because of the opening of Senki Academy, was heavily underfunded and attended by many poorer students. Needless to say, neither Amane Shinomiya or Frederica Weiss had any interest in attending a school that was heavily underfunded and attended by largely poor students. After all, while Amane Shinomiya may not be aware of it, Amane Shinomiya has a high opinion of herself and does not accept anything which she considers substandard. In other words, Kaneshima Island offered absolutely nothing for Amane Shinomiya and there were absolutely no incentives for Amane Shinomiya to move to Kaneshima Island.

Of course, this would no doubt be the conclusion most people would arrive at. However, as we all know, Erika Bernkastel-Kues was by no means most people. It was Kaneshima Island's lack of appeal that Erika Bernkastel-Kues would use to persuade Amane Shinomiya to move to Kaneshima Island. After all, it was an island that was undergoing a big change and was being transformed from an quiet, practically empty island to a key commercial location which would mean that there would be plenty of people moving to Kaneshima Island and that would mean there would be new demand for things that Kaneshima Island did not currently have. In other words, Erika Bernkastel-Kues attempted to persuade Amane Shinomiya with the opportunity of opening her own school on Kaneshima Island. Erika Bernkastel-Kues was fully aware that this would not only appeal to Amane Shinomiya's sense of obligation and fondness of positions of power, but it would also appeal to Amane Shinomiya's desire to create something in her own vision, which Erika Bernkastel-Kues was more than aware was an opportunity that Amane Shinomiya was very unlikely to pass.

Of course, as Erika Bernkastel-Kues had anticipated, Amane Shinomiya did eventually cave into the idea and agreed to move to Kaneshima Island, with the objective of establishing a new school on Kaneshima Island. In order to establish that school, Amane Shinomiya formed the Shinomiya Educational Foundation with the help of Erika Bernkastel-Kues, receiving funding from the Rabenschwarz Group and also from her family, receiving funding from the Shinomiya Corporation. Needless to say, Amane Shinomiya's closest friend, Frederica Weiss, fully intended to accompany Amane Shinomiya to Kaneshima Island and after persuading her parents to support the establishment of a new school, the Shinomiya Educational Foundation also received funding from the Weiss Foundation, making the Shinomiya Educational Foundation officially funded by the Rabenschwarz Group, the Shinomiya Corporation and the Weiss Foundation. With sufficient funding, the Shinomiya Educational Foundation purchased land on Kaneshima Island and began construction of a new high school building, with plans to name the school the Shinomiya Girls' High School, a private high school. Thanks to the supporters behind the Shinomiya Girls' High School, the school was quick to attract applicants, and were even able to charge high tuition fees meaning that only those capable of affording the high school fees of the Shinomiya Girls' High School could gain entry.

With sufficient students and the construction of the Shinomiya Girls' High School building completed, Amane Shinomiya was ready to make her move to Kaneshima Island. Fortunately for Erika Bernkastel-Kues, this happened to coincide with the completion of the Rabenschwarz Tower II and the Rabenschwarz Group's relocation preparations. With all the preparations completed, both Erika Bernkastel-Kues and Amane Shinomiya made their move to Kaneshima Island.

Recent History
[/td]
The history of Amane Shinomiya and Erika Bernkastel-Kues after moving from Hyakuji City and arriving in Kaneshima Islands. While a lot has happened in Hyakuji City, there is no doubt that that just as much, if not more, will happen in Kaneshima City as Amane Shinomiya continues her education at the Shinomiya Girls' High School and Erika Bernkastel-Kues continues the aggressive expansion of the Rabenschwarz Group.

- Prologue -
「Kaneshima Island」
Amane Shinomiya, along with her closest friend, if not more, Frederica Weiss and Erika Bernkastel-Kues, have made their arrival to Kaneshima Island. Unlike other students of Hyakuji High School who have transferred into Senki Academy, a school specialised for students with powers, Amane Shinomiya and Frederica Weiss have instead opted to transfer into the Shinomiya Girls' High School, a high end private high school for ordinary students that is founded and administered by the Shinomiya Educational Foundation.

With the Shinomiya Girls' High School building completed, and Amane Shinomiya and Frederica Weiss ready to start their next academic year in their new high school, the pair have moved to Kaneshima Island along with Erika Bernkastel-Kues. As Amane Shinomiya did in Hyakuji City, she currently lives in the newly built Rabenschwarz Towers II along with Erika Bernkastel-Kues while Frederica Weiss has found herself her own apartment.

- Prologue -
「Kaneshima Island」
Along with Amane Shinomiya, Erika Bernkastel-Kues has also made her move to Kaneshima Island. Accompanying Erika Bernkastel-Kues, the key members of the Rabenschwarz Group such as Sunhwa-Heo, the president of the Dernbach Industry Group, and Fiorella Zahradnik, the president of the Charlotte-Maria Financial Group, have been relocated to Kaneshima Island in order to represent the Rabenschwarz Group and the corporate groups under the Rabenschwarz Group.

Unlike Amane Shinomiya, who has her attention focused on the Shinomiya Girls' High School, Erika Bernkastel-Kues has her efforts focused into establishing the Rabenschwarz Group on Kaneshima Island. Just as Erika Bernkastel-Kues had done in Hyakuji City, she currently lives with Amane Shinomiya on the top floors of the newly built Rabenschwarz Towers II. Having just arrived on Kaneshima Island, Sunhwa-Heo and Fiorella Zahradnik have made sure to keep Erika Bernkastel-Kues from causing any scenes until the Rabenschwarz Group have comfortably established themselves on Kaneshima Island, no doubt to the joy of anyone who is familiar with Erika Bernkastel-Kues.

Trivia - Amane Shinomiya
[/td]
  • Within the Shinomiya family, there is a hereditary disease known as Shinomiya Syndrome which is passed onto the first child of each generation of the Shinomiya family. Children afflicted with Shinomiya Syndrome develop multiple personalities, severe insomnia, hallucinations and a the ability to heal virtually any injury within minutes at the cost of extreme pain. The life expectancy of children born with Shinomiya Syndrome is generally under ten years, with no records of anyone surviving passed their twenties.
  • As the first born child of the Shinomiya child, Amane Shinomiya was afflicted with Shinomiya Syndrome. However, thanks to Erika Bernkastel-Kues, Amane Shinomiya has managed to live far passed the short life expectancy of others diagnosed with Shinomiya Syndrome and thanks to her friendship with Frederica Weiss, it would seem that Amane Shinomiya has managed to cure herself of the disease.
  • While Amane Shinomiya may be cured of Shinomiya Syndrome, nobody is quite sure how exactly Amane Shinomiya was cured.
  • Amane Shinomiya is qualified for the majority of Shinto rituals, although rarely actually performs any. She mainly dedicates her time to keeping the shrines clean. She does, however, enjoy writing omikuji.
  • Amane usually prefers her own company over the company of other people. The one exception to this is Frederica Weiss, even if Amane Shinomiya tries to pretend she doesn't enjoy Frederica Weiss's company.
  • Amane Shinomiya's favourite dress is one given to her by Frederica Weiss and Amane Shinomiya will often wear it when outside of her school uniform or shrine maiden uniform.
  • Amane Shinomiya had a fake wedding with Yuki Tsukiyoru, a fellow shrine maiden at the Hyakuji Shrine.
  • Amane Shinomiya actually holds one hundred percent of the Rabenschwarz Group's shares, however since it is a private company, the shareholder list is not public, and only Erika Bernkastel-Kues and Amane Shinomiya have any knowledge of this.
  • Amane Shinomiya is a tsundere.
Trivia - Erika Bernkastel-Kues
[/td]
  • Despite living for a number of centuries, Bernkastel-Kues has a good grasp of modern language and is even familiar with most modern slang.
  • Bernkastel-Kues is not actually nobility, despite her name. Since Germany now allows anyone to use any title, Kues decided it would be fun to make herself sound like a noble.
  • Bernkastel-Kues is also able to play the piano and violin, however, not to the same standard as Amane.
  • Bernkastel-Kues is often referred to as simply Kues.
  • Dernbach, one of Bernkastel-Kues's names, is a name shared by a man who once ordered a massacre of witches in Germany.

  • Erika Bernkastel-Kues's original form shares the same features as Amane Shinomiya, with the only difference being in height.
  • Despite having Bernkastel-Kues as her surname, Erika Bernkastel-Kues is not actually from Bernkastel-Kues. She chose that as her surname because she likes the wine made in Bernkastel-Kues.
  • The Bernkastel-Kues Holdings Corporation's main office in Germany is located in Bernkastel-Kues. It is often mistaken as the corporation's main headquarters.
  • Erika Bernkastel-Kues is a fan of fancy titles, both modern titles and aristocratic titles.
  • While Erika Bernkastel-Kues serves as both the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Rabenschwarz Group and all of its subsidiaries, Erika Bernkastel-Kues is not actually involved in the day to day running of each subsidiary. Instead, the day to day running of each subsidiary is left to the President of that particular subsidiary.
  • All corporate groups within the Rabenschwarz Group, with exception to the Eigenverteidigungsagentur Corporation, are named after Erika Bernkastel-Kues.
  • Despite being a Witch of the Kakera, Erika Bernkastel-Kues does not possess any magic. Instead, Erika Bernkastel-Kues possesses the ability to negate magic, a skill that would make Erika Bernkastel-Kues closer to a Witch Hunter or Inquisitor than a Witch.
  • For some reason Erika Bernkastel-Kues ends most sentences with a ~☆.

Abilities (Part 1 of 2)
[/td]
Amane Shinomiya, thanks to Shinomiya Syndrome has some unique powers. In addition to this, sharing a body with Erika Bernkastel-Kues, the Witch of Madness, means that she also shares Erika Bernkastel-Kues's powers, although for the most part, only Erika Bernkastel-Kues has the knowledge to access those powers.
The Witch of Madness, Bernkastel-Kues
「狂気の魔女」

[Passive]
Although not technically a power, Shinomiya has received some benefits, as well as drawbacks, in sharing a body with a witch. Unlike a certain duo, Shinomiya and Kues are not unwillingly sharing the same body. In fact, Kues saw that a certain witch was sharing a body with a human, and thought it would be fun to try it out for herself, so she decided to find a willing volunteer. That willing volunteer was, of course, Shinomiya. Who better for the Witch of Madness to share a body with than someone who has been cursed with madness? Kues and Shinomiya respect each other, and they rarely have disagreements, which is of course is a good thing when the two are sharing a body. Kues can, of course, leave Shinomiya's body whenever she wants and is by no means bound to it in any way, shape, or form.

So, what exactly are the benefits of sharing a body with a witch? Well, since Kues is not sealed into Shinomiya's body, unlike a certain duo, Kues is able to pass onto Shinomiya some of the benefits she has been blessed with. Namely, the benefit of immortality. Shinomiya's body, just as Kues's body would be, is immortal. It will not age, or suffer from diseases associated with age. It also cannot be permanently destroyed. The way her body now works is that, now that it houses the soul of the Witch of Madness, Bernkastel-Kues, her body will return to the state it originally, even if completely destroyed, for as long as Bernkastel-Kues's soul remains in Shinomiya's body. Even if Shinomiya's soul is damaged or destroyed, Kues's soul can repair the damage. It is only when Kues's soul leaves, or is removed, damaged or destroyed, can Shinomiya's body truly die.

There are, of course, drawbacks for Kues. Although Kues should have an overriding will, Shinomiya's strongest personality, Eriza, is able to overpower Kues's will as Eriza has developed, from long periods of already sharing a mind with various other personalities, a willpower capable of supreme control over Shinomiya's body. Luckily enough, however, Eriza and Kues are the ones who originally made the pact, so naturally, they get along with each other. The next drawback, which is definitely the greatest of the drawbacks, is that although Kues can pass on her immortality, that is the only benefit she has been able to pass onto Shinomiya. While inhabiting Shinomiya's body, she is unable to use her magic, or allow Shinomiya to use her magic. Whether it is because Shinomiya is incompatible for magic, or whether her body is just simply too inexperienced is not yet certain.

To summarise, this is essentially just a pact between the Witch of Madness, Kues, and Shinomiya, agreeing that they both will share the body. The agreement is that Shinomiya is ultimately in control of the body, but Kues may also be able to use it with consent of Eriza. Eriza and Kues have constant awareness of everything that happens, regardless of who is in control, however, Shinomiya's other personalities only have awareness if given permission by Kues, or if they are currently in control of the body. When neither Eriza nor Kues are in control, a random personality will be given control of the body, however, only Kues is able to draw out a particular personality, Eriza cannot. Eriza can only give herself control, and not give away control, unlike Kues. However, even Kues's ability to do this is limited, as she can only bring out personalities that are active, and not dormant.
The Shinomiya Curse
「四宮家の呪い」

[Passive]
This is the collective name for the various mental illnesses as well as high speed regeneration certain members of the Shinomiya family possess. The Shinomiya family have a long history as caretakers for shrines, and as such, have been targets of various groups of demons, and other evil spirits. Although most do not take any effect, while others only effect a single person, the Shinomiya family do have one curse which has become bound to the bloodline. The first born child of the main family will suffer from the curse. In short, the curse is various psychiatric illnesses as well as high speed regeneration. The latter, although sounds useful, requires life energy, and therefore resulted in wastefully using the family member's life, giving them an early death in the end. Amane Shinomiya however, thanks to the help of a certain witch, is immortal, and therefore does not have to worry about her life energy being wasted on high speed regeneration, however, her mind is still victim to an array of mental illnesses which make her life much more difficult.

Shinomiya's high speed regeneration is a relatively new skill that Shinomiya has acquired. Prior to having the assistance of the witch, Shinomiya had absolutely no control over her high speed regeneration, and it more or less healed everything as quickly as possible. The healing process is incredibly painful, and even a minor cut healing brought about tremendous amounts of pain. Now, however, Shinomiya has a degree of control over how much energy is put into healing wounds. Even with this control, her wounds will still heal at a much faster rate even if she tries to prevent them from doing so, as the goal of the high speed regeneration was not to be useful, but to waste life energy as quickly as possible. If there are multiple wounds on the body, the regeneration will first focus mostly on healing the most important parts of the body. Since Shinomiya as acquired immortality, her high speed regeneration will first of all regenerate the organs essential for movement, and will then focus on other parts of the body. Although Shinomiya has a degree of control, she cannot override what the body heals first, all she can do is change the amount of energy she puts into healing a wound. Secondly, only Eriza has the ability to actually influence the high speed regeneration, Shinomiya's other personalities have absolutely no control over it. The speed of regeneration depends on what is being regenerated. Wounds on the skin will general heal within a few seconds whereas the most complicated organs would require around five minutes, such as the brain. Generally, organs take the longest to regenerate, whereas blood, skin, and other relatively simple body constructs are regenerated quickly.

The latter part of Shinomiya's curse, which has no positive features whatsoever, is the mental illnesses that plague her mind. The obvious one is her dissociative personality disorder, which has resulted in Shinomiya's mind to be divided into various personalities which are detailed later in the personality details. Shinomiya's original personality is "Amane", however, her most powerful personality is "Eriza". Eriza is the only personality capable of distinguishing between reality and illusions caused by her mental illnesses.

Seven Falls, Eight Risings
「七転び八起き」

[Passive]
This is the personal name Shinomiya has given her unique level of endurance. The level of endurance varies between personalities, with only Eriza truly having levels far enough to be considered an ability. Shinomiya's other personalities largely have standard levels, although some are more and some are less durable than your average person. Eriza, however, has both great physical and mental endurance. Her mind is able to overcome most forms of possession and illusions thanks to her various illnesses such as the multiple personalities and hallucinations, which is the reason why Eriza can override Kues, who in theory, should have been the one with supreme control. On a physical level, she has large amounts of stamina and is capable of ignoring immense pain and more often than not, for as long as she can, she will be able to move regardless of how painful the wounds she had inflicted upon her are. Of course, she cannot move if it is impossible to do so. The physical attributes are largely a product of the nightmares which come with the curse as well as becoming used to the incredible amounts of pain felt when her high speed regeneration comes into effect. She has enough stamina to perhaps continue fighting after five complete regenerations, however, once she has used up all her stamina, she will lose her ability to move, or at the very least, to move properly. It takes her between one to two hours to recover her energy. Given that her stamina is mainly used for her high speed regeneration, she isn't really tired out by any other forms of exercise.

This power, however, has recently also become accessibly to Bernkastel-Kues. Although Bernkastel-Kues isn't quite on the same level as Eriza when it comes to willpower and mental endurance, Bernkastel-Kues has come to match Eriza in terms of physical endurance, and can more or less do everything Eriza would be able to. Bernkastel-Kues, on a mental level, is not able to overpower Eriza, however, compared to in the past, Bernkastel-Kues is able to disturb Eriza's control of Amane Shinomiya's body. In other aspects of mental endurance, Bernkastel-Kues is more or less on par with Eriza, and is only somewhat inferior.

Bernkastel-Kues, The Witch Without Magic
「魔法なき魔女」

[Special]
Bernkastel-Kues has, throughout history, been known to have never used a specific type of magic. Among the circle Bernkastel-Kues spent her time in, the type of Witches she belonged to often had a specialisation such as Nietzsche, who specialised in wish fulfilment magic. Bernkastel-Kues, however, has never shown a specialisation in any magic, and in fact, has never even been shown to use magic before. The fact that she participates in games has her acknowledged as a witch, but in reality, none have ever seen her use magic before. Bernkastel-Kues is, of course, a witch, however, she cannot use magic. Well, cannot isn't exactly an accurate description. She can use magic, however, she can only use magic that negates other forms of magic. For Kues to negate magic, she has to actively focus her own magic onto the magic she wishes to negate. The basic idea is that Kues uses what is essentially the opposite of magic. One would immediately assume logic, but that is not quite right. It is more similar to the situation of matter and anti-matter. When Kues's magic meets normal magic, the two destroy each other when they are both in equal portions. Unlike real magic, Kues's magic cannot react, or be seen by anything in the real world. The only exception is magic. It cannot harm anyone, or anything. In fact, to everything other than magic, it does not exist. As well as negating spells, she is also able to negate magical enchantments and curses from people and objects that derive from a magical source. Depending on how powerful the source originally was, and whether or not the source is still capable of providing the enchantments/curses, it may only be temporary, or it may be permanent.

Of course, as mentioned, the idea is that an equal amount of Kues's magic must be applied to the magic she wishes to negate. In other words, the first limit is that. She can only negate anything within her limit. If a God were to send an Earth destroying spell towards Kues, she would not be able to negate it. But let's face it, what are the chances of a God throwing an Earth destroying spell at Kues? Probably pretty high actually... But nevermind that. Eriza has huge amounts of stamina. Kues, however, does not use stamina for her magic, therefore, stamina has nothing to do with Kues's magic negating ability, and Kues does not benefit from Eriza's stamina. Kues's magic, ironically, comes from the belief that magic does not exist. This poses Kues a large problem in Hyakuji where the majority believe magic exists. Basically, the more people who do not believe in magic are near Kues, the stronger her ability to negate magic is. Kues's ability to regenerate her lost magic also improves. In a place like Hyakuji, or a similar place where belief that magic exists is the consensus, Kues is unable to negate high level spells. High level spells include anything that is considered special, and of limited use due to either consuming a lot of energy, or has a set limit to the number of times it can be used. Kues's power does not weaken these spells since she can only use her magic for total negation. For standard spells, since she uses equal amounts of magic as her opponent, she will generally fatigue at the same rate as her opponent. Despite the fact that she has lived for over a thousand years, she has rarely used her magic, and therefore her magical stamina isn't as high as it should be. She is no worse off than a regular magic user, she is just no better off at the same time, which is why her rate of fatigue will generally reflect her opponent's. If she uses too much of her magic, she will be unable to negate spells.

As previously stated, this is solely magic negation. That is, negation of anything that come about from a magical source. This does not include psychic powers such as telekinesis, manipulation of the elements, or energy sources such as Ki. This solely negates magic, and nothing else. It does not even weaken magic. If Kues does not have the energy to negate a spell, the spell will remain exactly as it was. In the event Kues does use her entire supply of magic, in a place like Hyakuji, it would take at least a week for Kues to regain all of her power.
Illusions to Illusions
「幻は幻に」

[Passive] [Support] [Special] [Plot Power]
Reality and Illusions. To those who suffer from insanity, many believe in illusions. These illusions can range from visual illusions to belief illusions. Some who are insane will see things that do not exist, while others will believe in what is not true. Illusions are powerful things. If one believes them to be reality, then they may as well be in reality in many respects. Belief is a powerful thing, and the power of the mind come some time overcome reality. If one believes that they are feeling pain, then regardless of whether or not that person is actually feeling pain, they will feel pain. This does, however, work in the reverse. If one believes that their pain is being relieved by some means, then regardless of whether in actuality their pain is being relieved, their mind will reduce that pain. This is often known as the Placebo Effect, the mind over body phenomenon.

This power is essentially an extension of Amane Shinomiya, or rather, Eriza's power, Seven Falls, Eight Risings, and Bernkastel-Kues's power, the Witch without Magic.

Both Bernkastel-Kues and Eriza have reached a level where most forms of illusions do not affect them whatsoever. This could be considered a heightened form of Seven Falls, Eight Risings. The two are able to easily distinguish between what is real, and what is false. What is reality, and what is illusion. Whether they be visual illusions, or belief illusions, Bernkastel-Kues and Eriza can see through all but the highest levels of illusions naturally. This ability also allows Bernkastel-Kues and Eriza to distinguish between the real world, and worlds that are either illusion based, or not based in the real world.

This is the passive part of the ability. The ability to naturally see through illusions.

The second part of this ability, which would be considered the support part of the ability, and an variation of Bernkastel-Kues's power, a Witch without Magic. In the same method that Bernkastel-Kues is able to combat magic by negating it with her own special form of anti-magic, Bernkastel-Kues can also extend this power to include illusions, and remove illusions through a same method of applying an anti-illusion type energy. This has its uses when it comes to illusions that everyone is affected by, and not just Bernkastel-Kues herself, which is why it could be considered a support ability. Very much like Bernkastel-Kues's other ability, a Witch without Magic, however, Bernkastel-Kues can only completely negate an illusion, and not partially negate it. Bernkastel-Kues can also only negate illusions that she has the energy to. Bernkastel-Kues's anti-illusion energy is essentially the same as her anti-magic energy, and therefore, the source is the same. In other words, negating magic and illusions draw energy from the same source, which means when that source of energy is depleted, Bernkastel-Kues will be unable to negate both magic and illusions. As stated in Bernkastel-Kues's ability, a Witch without Magic, Bernkastel-Kues only has as much energy for magic as an average mage would, despite her long life, largely due to the fact she rarely uses her power to negate magic and illusions. Well, the ability to negate illusions is a relatively new development, therefore Bernkastel-Kues has not had the chance to actually negate illusions in the past. Fundamentally, the restrictions on this part of the ability are the same as the restrictions placed on Bernkastel-Kues's power, a Witch without Magic.

[Plot Power] This power also has a plot extension to it. The plot extension only affects the Senate of Witches plots. The plot extension of this power allows Bernkastel-Kues to hijack Territory Lord from any Witch regardless of how powerful that witch may be. Well, it would be more correct to say that it allows Bernkastel-Kues to do as she pleases in a kakera, and even override the Territory Lord if Bernkastel-Kues wishes to. This is how Bernkastel-Kues will often trespass into a kakera even against the wishes of the Territory Lord. Bernkastel-Kues is, however, careful in her use of this part of the ability, and will rarely do anything that will cast suspicion over her power. The reason that this power is placed under Illusions to Illusions is because of the nature of the worlds of the kakera.
Iron Body
「鉄血身体」

[Passive] [Special]
Irony Body, an extension of the Shinomiya Curse. As mentioned, the Shinomiya Curse focuses on regeneration and healing wounds, regardless of how fatal that wound may be. The regeneration includes regular skin lacerations to largescale brain destruction. The idea behind Iron Body is to use this regenerative property not for regeneration, but instead, restructuring the body. In other words, rather than regenerate, modify the body in various ways.

The idea, itself, originally came from the GENCOM Holdings Corporation, who have experimented with similar techniques. Seeking methods to make people stronger by adding to the human body, or modifying it in some way. Modifying the human nervous system in order to make a person be able to react faster. The number of things the GENCOM Holdings Corporation have tried is numerous; however, in the end the GENCOM Holdings Corporation decided to focus on using other methods to enhance human capabilities such as exoskeletons and nanomachines.

Bernkastel-Kues actually took the idea for Iron Body from the current president of the GENCOM Holdings Corporation, Steven Armstrong. While he, himself, may not be aware of of Bernkastel-Kues's knowledge of it, as the CEO of the GENCOM Holdings Corporation, Bernkastel-Kues isn't as ignorant to the goings on within the corporation as many may think. After learning that Steven Armstrong had used nanomachines to enhance his own body, and how exactly he enhanced his body, Berkastel-Kues decided that she would try the same, except with a very different approach. Rather than using the GENCOM Holdings Corporation's surgical enhancements, drugs or technology, Erika Bernkastel-Kues decided to rework the Shinomiya Curse, which allows for high speed regeneration to modify Amane Shinomiya's body.

Surprisingly it was a success, and now the Shinomiya Curse provides not only high speed regeneration, but also allows for body modifications to be made.

First of all, the passive side of this ability. Bernkastel-Kues has made some permanent changes to Amane Shinomiya's body which involved rearranging Amane Shinomiya's nervous system as well as make up of her skin. In other words, Amane is a little more reactive, and little more resistant to injury than the normal person. An emphasis on the word little. Amane is able to react faster than the normal person, but by no means is her reaction speed outside what is possible for a human. The same goes for her skin's resistance to injury. While she be able to fall over, and be free of injury, or take slightly harder punches than the normal person, her skin won't protect her against anything intended to pierce or cause damage to the skin.

The real difference comes with the special part of this ability. Amane Shinomiya is able to use the Shinomiya Curse not to regenerate, but to strengthen and harden a portion of her body by willing it. In other words, she has to focus on the area she wants to strengthen in order for it to be strengthened. Given the relatively recent nature of this ability developing, Amane is still unused to it, and is limited to only one portion of her body. A portion is an area of Amane's body, and Amane's body, for the purpose of this ability, can be divided into six areas. The head, the body, each arm, and each leg, totally six areas. Amane Shinomiya can only strengthen one area at any given moment meaning only one of those areas can be strengthened at one time.

While an area is strengthened, there is no visible change; however the change becomes clear if you were to try and touch that area. Unlike what the name suggests, the area does not literally become as solid as steel. It becomes solid enough to perhaps guard against a bladed weapon wielded by human, but nothing more. If there was superhuman strength behind the blade, or the force of an attack was greater than that of a sword strike, Amane Shinomiya's skin would cut as skin would normally cut or react as skin normally would depending on what the exact attack was. While this is mainly used for defensively, it can also be used offensively as receiving a punch from a normal hand, and a hardened hard is two very different things.

The main limit of this ability is, as stated, that Amane Shinomiya may only strengthen one area at a time. The other limits of this ability are much more circumstantial such as depending largely on Amane's ability to track attacks. While bladed weapons may be easy to track, bullets and such are much more difficult as it is hard to track exactly where the bullet will hit. Second of all, the limit of the strengthened skin is a standard bladed weapon to at most, a bullet from a standard pistol.

In an emergency, Amane Shinomiya is able to strengthen her entire body once per topic for one post; however, there is a drawback to it. As mentioned, it can only be used once per topic. In addition to this, after strengthening her entire body, Amane Shinomiya will be unable to use this power for the next five posts. That is, Amane Shinomiya will be unable to strengthen any part of her for five posts after strengthening her entire body.
The Zeroth Sense
「第零感」

[Passive] [Support]
Zeroth Sense, an extension of Seven Falls, Eight Risings and partially related to both Illusions to Illuions and the Witch without Magic. As the name, Zeroth Sense, would suggest, the power is an extension of the mental aspects of Seven Falls, Eight Risings.

While the Witch without Magic covers exclusively magical based powers, Zeroth Sense covers mental based powers. Very much like the Witch without Magic, Zeroth Sense is similar in the sense that it is a power used to counter and negate powers that are considered mental in nature, in the sense that the power works off the user's mind rather than via magic. In other words, powers which are not mental in nature are unaffected by this power very much like powers that aren't magic in nature are unaffected by the Witch without Magic or powers that aren't illusionary in nature aren't affected by Illusions to Illusions.

The passive side of this ability is that Bernkastel-Kues's mind and body naturally negate mind based powers that are used against either Bernkastel-Kues's mind or body without any effort on her part. The mind aspect of this power mainly covers mental based powers that allow another person to read minds, manipulate emotions or a person's thinking, push thoughts into another's head and so on. Bernkastel-Kues's mind will naturally prevent people from accessing her thoughts and emotions, and prevent people from modifying them. The body aspect of this power mainly deals with powers such as telekinesis. For example, Bernkastel-Kues's will naturally negate telekinesis that is used on her own body, whether it is used to hold her in place or to move her.

Moving onto the active use of Zeroth Sense. Unlike passive effects, active use requires Bernkastel-Kues to actively put her focus onto negating a mental based effect. Very much like the Witch without Magic and Illusions to Illusions, this power works on an all or nothing basis. Bernkastel-Kues can only negate an effect if she can produce an equal amount of energy that was originally used. If she cannot produce the same amount of energy, she will be unable to negate it. In other words, just like Illusions to Illusions and The Witch without Magic, Bernkastel-Kues cannot partially negate an effect, she may only completely negate it. Bernkastel-Kues also does not completely negate the power, she can only negate the effect of using a mental based power. For example, a power that completely negated a power would prevent the person from using their power again for a given duration. A power to negate an effect of a power would mean that if the power of telekinesis, Bernkastel-Kues would be able to negate and remove their hold over an object, but the telekinesis user would be able to pick something else up. This power also uses the same energy reserves as Illusions to Illusions and the Witch without Magic, with all three being based on rejection to negate an effect. As the third extension, Bernkastel-Kues does now have more energy than she once did to use for these powers. She has about the same energy reserves as an average mage would, plus another half, meaning she has one-hundred-and-fifty percent of an average mage's energy. An average mage would be defined as a magic user without any energy upgrades. In other words, this power falls under the same restrictions as both the Witch without Magic and Illusions to Illusions. This is falls under the support aspect of this power.

Zeroth Sense is an extension of Kues's reality based powers. Like how magic does not exist in our reality, psychic powers that exist outside of the mind also do not exist. In other words, rejecting the idea that the mind has the capacity to affect the world around it, whether it be the pysical world or the minds of others. The theme of this power continues from anti-magic to anti-psychic, and in a way, bringing it towards accepting reality, and rejecting another.

While this is a power that is originally one possessed by Bernkastel-Kues, Amane Shinomiya also has full access to this power. This upgrade also gives Amane Shinomiya full access to all Bernkastel-Kues's powers, and gives Amane Shinomiya the same level of skill in using each power as Bernkastel-Kues. In addition, due to settling of Amane Shinomiya's own mind, Amane Shinomiya now has the same extend of control over her powers as Eriza does.
The Rabenschwarz Group
「レイヴンシュヴァルツ・グループ」

[Passive]

The Rabenschwarz Group is the name of a large conglomerate consisting of several multinational corporations. At the head of the Rabenschwarz Group, Erika Bernkastel-Kues serves as not only the founder of the conglomerate and many of its subsidiaries, but also the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors with Amane Shinomiya serving as the sole shareholder of the Rabenschwarz Group and its subsidiaries. In other words, Bernkastel-Kues more or less holds complete control over the conglomerate, although Bernkastel-Kues rarely does exercise this power, leaving the running of each subsidiary largely down to the subsidiary's president. However, Bernkastel-Kues does continue to play a key role in the Rabenschwarz Group, and despite serving as the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Bernkastel-Kues largely deals with the underground operations of the Rabenschwarz Group. After all, while the Rabenschwarz Group does compete on the global market as a legitimate company, it is the underground market where much of the Rabenschwarz Group's profit comes from. Of course, with Bernkastel-Kues not having just years, but centuries of experience within the criminal market, it is Bernkastel-Kues who largely deals with the illegal activities of the Rabenschwarz Group, albeit under a very different identity.

While the Rabenschwarz Group has only existed for a short amount of time, it has expanded at a terrifying rate, going from a simple games corporation to a multinational corporation with dealings in almost every industry making it one of the most renown corporations in the entire world as well as one of the most successful. Of course, while it does make a great deal of money from its legal operations, and more than enough to cover any costs as well as create a health profit, it is its illegal activities where the Rabenschwarz Group truly derives its profits, meaning that the large majority of the Rabenschwarz Group's earnings is left unrecorded and unknown to any government across the world.

This power, while not supernatural in nature, is essentially privileges granted to Bernkastel-Kues through both owning the Rabenschwarz Group as well as her associates with the criminal market. Basically this power operates in the sense that by using position as the CEO of the Rabenschwarz Group as well as the vast wealth that comes with it in combination with her links to the criminal market, Bernkastel-Kues is capable of both influencing certain agencies in order to attain a certain effect. For example, Bernkastel-Kues could use her influence in the Media to prevent certain news from becoming public. Things such as scandals within the Rabenschwarz Group, or even news that has nothing to do with the Rabenschwarz Group. Alternatively, Bernkastel-Kues could use her influence to have certain pieces of news reported on, and even modified to an extent, to make a piece of news seem more negative or positive depending on what spin Bernkastel-Kues desires on a certain piece of news. Of course, there is a limit to what Bernkastel-Kues can do with her influence, as while she may be influential, her influence is not absolute. Bernkastel-Kues is unable to prevent particularly big scandals or news from becoming public, although she is still able to influence a spin on the news to make it appear either bigger or smaller, and make it come across as more positive or negative than the news actually is to a limited extent.

Other applications of this power include the ability to acquire items that would otherwise be either impossible or incredibly difficult to acquire. This can be done via two approaches. The first approach is that the particular item is already being produced by one of the Rabenschwarz Group's subsidiaries. The second approach, in the rare case that one of the Rabenschwarz Group's subsidiaries do not produce the particular item Bernkastel-Kues is looking to acquire, is through criminal markets. Of course, depending on what Bernkastel-Kues is seeking, the price of it will differ greatly. If it happens to be something produced by one of the subsidiaries of the Rabenschwarz Group, then Bernkastel-Kues is generally able to acquire it at no cost, however when it comes to goods acquired through criminal markets, then Bernkastel-Kues will often use the funds acquired by the Rabenschwarz Group's illegal activities as it is a fund that cannot be traced by governments. While Bernkastel-Kues is able to acquire almost anything via these means, this is a power limited by mostly common sense and how the acquired goods is used. In other words, while Bernkastel-Kues could acquire, say for example bombs, if she went on a rampage with it in the middle of the city, the consequences of that would mean Bernkastel-Kues would most likely be arrested and would lose this power completely. Basically, the main limitation of this power is consequences. While Bernkastel-Kues may be able to acquire particular goods, using it against common sense will result in consequences which means if Bernkastel-Kues wants to remain at freedom, she is limited in what she can do with the goods she acquires.

Of course, there are several smaller uses of this power, or rather, advantages that come with this power. These advantages mainly come in the form of either wealth or connections. Bernkastel-Kues has connections to both legitimate corporations and criminal syndicates across the world, which can be used for both legal and illegal business as well as trading of information. Bernkastel-Kues also has connections to many government officials across the world, and even connections to make senior police officers, which make it easier for Bernkastel-Kues to conduct criminal activity while at the same time having the police forces turn a blind eye to it. Of course, while Bernkastel-Kues can have the police turn a blind eye to certain activities, her influence is also limited in this area in the same way it is limited to her influence over the media. If the activity happens to draw too much attention, then the police will not be willing to turn a blind eye, especially if is activity that is likely to draw the attention of the public. For example, while the police are willing to turn a blind eye to things such as criminal auctions known about and attended by only a select few, the police will not turn a blind eye to things such as selling illegal guns in the middle of the street.

With the multiple roles Bernkastel-Kues possesses within the Rabenschwarz Group, Bernkastel-Kues has not only had to use separate names and identities depending on which role she is actively taking on at the time, but also multiple appearances for each role. Bernkastel-Kues currently uses her business appearance as her role for CEO of the Rabenschwarz Group, using the name Erika Bernkastel-Kues. For her underground illegal dealings, Bernkastel-Kues uses multiple names such as Kurobana, Kurobara and Kuroneko. While she did formerly use the name Rabenschwarz in the criminal underground, since the establishment of the Rabenschwarz Group, Bernkastel-Kues has since ceased using the name Rabenschwarz for criminal activities. For her role as the Witch of Madness, Bernkastel-Kues continues using her Higanbana appearance, and continues to go by the name of Higanbana.
Bullet of the Inquisitor
「対超能力弾丸」

[Special]
The Bullet of the Inquisitor is a bullet that has secretly been developed by the GENCOM Holdings Corporation for Erika Bernkastel-Kues. The Bullet of the Inquisitor was developed after extensive research into the nature of Kues's power and how to make full use of that power. While the team researching Kues's power were unable to properly analyse her power, they were able to successfully develop a new application of her power. The particularly aspect of Kues's power that had been researched was the natural energy that Kues produced that allowed her to negate various supernaturally derived powers such as magic, illusions and extrasensory perception.

After extensive research, the GENCOM Holdings Corporation was able to produce a bullet that had the capacity to temporarily shut down a power source through direct contact with an energy produced from that power source. This bullet was given the name of Bullet of the Inquisitor, a bullet that could be considered a weapon against those capable of using supernatural abilities. While the Bullet of the Inquisitor's main purpose is to be used against individuals with supernatural abilities, it is also effective against natural power sources such as electricity.

The Bullet of the Inquisitor operates much like an ordinary bullet, requiring a gun in order to be fired. However, unlike an ordinary bullet, the Bullet of the Inquisitor is not made to be used against a target directly, although if it is used against a target directly, it will do the same amount of damage as you would expect from an ordinary bullet. Instead, the Bullet of the Inquisitor is designed to be used against an individual's power directly. For example, if a mage were to use a fire spell, the correct use of the Bullet of the Inquisitor would be to fire the bullet at the fire spell rather than the mage. The moment the Bullet of the Inquisitor makes contact with the fire spell, the energy trapped inside of the bullet will activate and attack the source of the fire spell directly, temporarily cutting it off. In the case of a mage, the effect of the Bullet of the Inquisitor would make it impossible for the mage to convert energy into magic, making it impossible for them to perform any more magic spells. In Character, the duration varies, but Out Of Character, the duration is one topic. To make it easier to imagine how the Bullet of the Inquisitor works, it is effectively a bullet that completely shut downs pathways. The Bullet of the Inquisitor can be said to have the same effect to an individual as taking away the ability to conduct electricity from an electrical circuit. The individual loses temporarily loses whatever allows them to perform their ability, thus rendering them unable to make use of their ability just as an electrical circuit would be unable to transfer electricity without any conductivity.

Of course, while there are many things that the Bullet of the Inquisitor can be applied to, there are also many things that the Bullet of the Inquisitor cannot affect. For example, while the Bullet of the Inquisitor does target the source of powers, for something such as martial arts or abilities that have been earned naturally and do not come from any specific source such as some forms of superhuman strength, the Bullet of the Inquisitor will have no effect. However, in the case where superhuman strength has been acquired by means connected to a source such as magic, then the Bullet of the Inquisitor will target the source of that magic and attack it, rendering the superhuman strength null. For the most part, the danger comes in blocking the bullet using a power. Physically blocking the bullet, unless there are any enhancements on the body, can be considered the safest way to protect against the Bullet of the Inquisitor if dodging is not an option.

Another limit of the Bullet of the Inquisitor is that it can only target one particular set of pathways. For example, take a machine with multiple electrical circuits which all serve a different purpose. An individual who is able to use magic and extrasensory perception, for as long as the two aren't derived from the same source, can be considered to be entirely different circuits which means while one may be rendered useless, the other can still be used.

Finally, the last limit of the Bullet of the Inquisitor is that due to how difficult it is to produce, the GENCOM Holdings Corporation is only able to produce a very small number of them and the production of just a single bullet takes a very long time. For this reason, Erika Bernkastel-Kues is only able to make use of one bullet per topic.

Abilities (Part 2 of 2)
[/td]
This is the second section of Amane Shinomiya and Erika Bernastel-Kues's powers. Part 1 of these powers can be found in the post directly above this one.
DAISY
The Detached Anti-Intrusion System - DAISY - is a spirit based system designed to protect the information of the Rabenschwarz Group. DAISY has created through the joint efforts of the GENCOM Holdings Corporation and the Dernbach Industry Group using knowledge ranging from Orbment technology to biotechnology in order to create a system that is impossible to hack through technological means. On records, DAISY is the name of the AI which overseers the Rabenschwarz Group's information and security systems, however in reality DAISY is not actually an AI, but an artificial spirit created with the ability to read, record and store digital information. DAISY differs from an AI or even an android in the sense that both mentally and physically, DAISY is no different from a non-artificially created spirit and she even has her own thoughts and personality. Like spirits of her kind, DAISY is unable to interact with the physical world and the physical world is unable to interact with DAISY. This means that physical objects will simply pass through DAISY and DAISY will pass through physical objects. In theory, DAISY only exists on a spiritual level however because of her attachment to Erika Bernkastel-Kues, DAISY is able to pass into the physical world and be seen by others. As DAISY is not bound by the laws of the physical laws, concepts such as gravity does not affect DAISY and therefore feats such as floating in the air are effortless for the spirit.

This are all traits that are not unique to DAISY but traits that all spirits similar to DAISY possesses. What makes DAISY different from regular spirits is that she has been engineered to possess the ability to access digital information and store that information in herself. To simply explain it, DAISY is effectively a digital storage device with an almost limitless capacity for information. All information processed by the Rabenschwarz Group is automatically stored in DAISY before being erased, leaving DAISY the only source of information regarding the Rabenschwarz Group's dealings. Unlike a computer or AI, as an organic life form, DAISY is immune to computer vulnerabilities such as viruses, worms and bugs, making it practically impossible to access the data stored in DAISY through technological means. While DAISY is capable of recording digital data, DAISY does not record information recorded on the internet meaning that DAISY cannot automatically access a database of information gathered on the internet at will. Instead, DAISY only has access to information that has passed through the Rabenschwarz Group's system and any computer systems that DAISY has had direct access to and has consciously decided to retrieve and store data from.

In order to access the information stored on DAISY, a direct connection to DAISY's mind is required. Only those who established this connection with DAISY are capable of accessing the information stored in DAISY. In order to establish this connection, an ability known as MINDSET must be placed on an individual. Once MINDSET has been set, the individual will be able to access the information stored on DAISY. However, those who have established this connection with DAISY must also open their mind to DAISY, allowing DAISY to not only access the thoughts of those who have established a connection with her but also allowing her to take control of their their body if DAISY desires to. Those who have had MINDSET set on them possess an insignia on their right eye, similar to the insignia on DAISY's own eyes.

As the administrator of DAISY, Erika Bernkastel-Kues has established this link with DAISY. However, as the administrator of DAISY, Erika Bernkastel-Kues has a special connection with DAISY that differs from MINDSET. Erika Bernkastel-Kues effectively has the same rights as DAISY does and is able to use MINDSET in the same way that DAISY is able to in order to establish a connection between DAISY and an individual. Just like DAISY, Erika Bernkastel-Kues may access the thoughts and even take possession of those who have established a connection to DAISY via MINDSET, however unlike DAISY, individuals connected to DAISY do not have the ability to access Erika Bernkastel-Kues's thoughts. Also, unlike those who have established a connection to DAISY through the use of MINDSET, Erika Bernkastel-Kues possesses the same insignia as DAISY does in both of her eyes. It is possible to conceal the insignia when not making use of DAISY's power, however it is impossible to conceal the insignia when making use of DAISY's powers. In order to have a presence in the physical world, DAISY relies on her connection to Erika Bernkastel-Kues, meaning that DAISY must remain within a 100 metre radius of Erika Bernkastel-Kues.
MINDSET
「マインドセット」

[Passive] [Special]
MINDSET is the ability that DAISY possesses that allows her to establish a mental connection with individuals. Only DAISY and Erika Bernkastel-Kues are capable of using MINDSET and in order for MINDSET to be successful, the target must agree to open their mind to DAISY. If MINDSET is used on an unwilling target, it will simply fail and a mental link will not be established.

Once MINDSET has been set and a mental link has been made between the individual and DAISY, the individual may access all the digital data stored on DAISY. This data may be accessed at any time, regardless of the individual's distance from DAISY during the time of access. While individuals with MINDSET active may access digital data, they cannot access anything else such as DAISY's thoughts or other individuals who have established a mental link with DAISY.

While for certain members of the Rabenschwarz Group, access to this information is essential, this is not the main benefit of MINDSET. The true benefit of MINDSET is that those who have MINDSET active are protected against abilities that attack the individual's mind. This includes abilities such as mind reading, empathy and manipulation of the mind or emotions. However, this does not include abilities such as illusions that attack the five senses of an individual and not the individual's mind directly.

In return for access to the information stored on DAISY and protection against mental and emotional abilities, the individual must completely open their mind to DAISY. DAISY and Erika Bernkastel-Kues may access the thoughts of individuals linked to DAISY through MINDSET. Not only may DAISY and Erika Bernkastel-Kues access their thoughts, but those under the influence of MINDSET can be ordered verbally to carry out an order and the effects of MINDSET will make it impossible for the individual to refuse those orders. While these orders can command an individual to carry out a certain action, it cannot be used to change the way an individual thinks and the mind of the individual will remain their own. If an individual happens to be opposed against carrying out a particular order, while their body may carry out the order against the individual's wishes, the individual's mind will remain opposed and conscious throughout the ordeal. In addition to be able give verbal orders, it is also possible for either DAISY or Erika Bernkastel-Kues to take direct possession over those who have established MINDSET with DAISY regardless of the distance between DAISY or Erika Bernkastel-Kues and the individual. When in possession of an individual, the individual will be aware that their body has been taken possession of, however they will have no control of their own body for the duration of the possession. When possessing another individual, DAISY and Erika Bernkastel-Kues are able to use the individual's body as a proxy for their power. DAISY and Erika-Bernkastel-Kues are only capable of possessing one individual at a time and for the duration of the possession, their original bodies are unable to move as possession of an individual requires great concentration.

Those who have established MINDSET with Daisy bare an insignia on their right eye that resembles the insignia on DAISY's eyes. While it is almost impossible to break the mental link with DAISY once MINDSET has been established, there do exist two ways that an individual may break the link. The first method is to have either DAISY or Erika Bernkastel-Kues willingly release MINDSET. The second method is the complete removal of the right eye possessing DAISY's insignia.

Mini Profile
The Detached Anti-Intrusion System - DAISY - is an artificial spirit designed by the Rabenschwarz Group in order to protect the Rabenschwarz Group against data breaches and unauthorised access. Officially, DAISY is nothing more than an AI that overseers the security of the Rabenschwarz Group, however in reality DAISY is an artificially engineered spirit created by the GENCOM Holdings Corporation and the Dernbach Industry Group.
Personality
While DAISY is an artificially engineered spirit, there is very little difference between DAISY and other spirits and DAISY even has her own personality and thoughts. However, unlike other spirits, DAISY was brought into the world artificially and therefore her experiences of life differ vastly from that of most other spirits.

As an artificially engineered spirit, DAISY has no childhood and from the moment of creation, had fully developed cognition and mastery of language. It is perhaps because of this lack of childhood that DAISY has developed a very apathetic and indifferent attitude to the world. DAISY is well aware that she is considered nothing more than a security system for the Rabenschwarz Group by many and while she may carry out that task with perfection, she does not feel any sense of pride or enjoyment of the job. DAISY has simply just accepted that that is the job that has been assigned to her.

DAISY makes no attempt to empathise for others and in most cases, cannot empathise for others. Concepts such as friendship, rivalry and even love have no meaning to DAISY, however she has taken an interest in observing individuals who possess these traits. DAISY dislikes to involve herself directly with others and instead, would rather observe.

While DAISY has many conflicting thoughts in regards to Erika Bernkastel-Kues, she has taken an interest in Erika Bernkastel-Kues, finding Erika Bernkastel-Kues's unpredictability to be a good source of entertainment. Despite being the CEO of the Rabenschwarz Group, DAISY has noticed that Erika Bernkastel-Kues treatment of her differs greatly from the treatment DAISY receives from other staff members of the Rabenschwarz Group. Unlike other staff members of the Rabenschwarz Group who treat DAISY as nothing more than a security system, Erika Bernkastel-Kues treats her no different from anyone else that Erika Bernkastel-Kues interacts with. While DAISY does find it an interesting development, knowing full well what kind of person Erika Bernkastel-Kues is, DAISY can't help but feel the need to tread with caution when dealing with Erika Bernkastel-Kues.
