Bought a Hawk modular helmet in September 2017 from Leather Up.  Paypal said I sent money to Nanal, Inc.  Outer visor rubs on both sides, severe scratches.  About a month ago the entire lining on the right side came loose from the outer shell.  This padding has the chin strap attached.  I contacted customer service and asked what I need to do, who I needed to contact, to resolve this problem.  No answer at all.  Contacted them again and was told "We are sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing this item no longer has warranty unfortunately we cannot provide any assistance."  They "can't" help and won't give me info on Nanal, Inc.

I've purchased several items from them in the past and am even a member of the VIP program.  I've recommended them to several friends/acquaintances.....now I'm going back to each of them and letting them know about this.

I could live with the visor problem, but the padding coming loose?  Nah, to me that means the protection of the helmet is compromised.

What brand of helmet is it? contact the company that made the helmet. Was it a cheap no name helmet? If so, go buy a good helmet..

As stated in the original post, Hawk Modular helmet.  Model # is ST 11121 9GM, paid +/- $70 on sale and with VIP discount.  Usually $100+.  I figure it's good, not great helmet.  Had read good reviews about it.  When I first got it, I did a review for LU (as requested) giving general, initial impressions.  In that review, I stated I couldn't comment on durability yet.  That review showed up almost immediately.  I did a follow up review giving details of the problems I was having....been over a month and that one has never appeared.

I've asked LU how to contact Nanal, Inc and the manufacturer.  If you try to go to Hawk corporate, there's no contact info or complaint process on their website.  Same goes for whoever Nanal, Inc is.  Hawk hasn't/won't provide info.

Trap - sorry to hear about the experience. I too like to let everyone I know about "customer service" like that. That being said.....Don't buy a Dodge either! Had leaking fuel rail on our car twice and they finally said it not our problem....could have seriously injured my family with an engine fire....hate Dodge for that reason. I have a few others, but I said my piece.

I have had problems with Jafrum too - they eventually came through but it was a struggle! Currently a fan of J&P, Cycle Gear, and Revzilla.

This is what I found when I asked:

Who makes Hawk helmets?

The manufacturer of Hawk brand motorcycle helmets is Leather Up who is also known as My Leather (www.leatherup.com, www.myleather.com)

So it looks like Leather Up gets these from a Co. and puts their name on them.

ROD
So many roads so little time !
