Joe, Riding so many miles with such high cross winds takes a lot of fortitude. Congrats to you and all that undertook the challenge to ride 500 miles in such conditions. Thanks for posting pictures of the starting and ending locations. ND is one of 3 States that I have not had the opportunity to visit yet. If I do ever get to visit ND, I most want to go to the International Peace Garden. You continue to show what a good long distance rider you are by not simply returning home the following day, but rather continuing to ride into Canada, and by riding almost 2000 miles in 3 days. Very impressive!

Way to go Joe! That's a heck of a ride especially under those conditions. Was this a post retirement trip?

Thanks Fred, I needed ND and caught two Canadian provinces while I was that close. It was a little early for the Peace Garden with the late spring but still worth the visit. It is pretty up that way especially when the sun peeked out giving a bit more color.
Yes, somewhat Frankie on the retirement trip. I planned this last winter when I first saw it announced since the beginning was only 250 miles from home. That crazy weather front certainly caused some issues. I was actually blown from the left to the right lane numerous times making it a bit hard to see the territory. That's not all that uncommon in the west except for that it was mile after mile all day long. I may have to go next year just to cancel the memory.

"Cancel the memory."
Looks like a great trip. I'm jealous.
