Trying to get oil pressure on a motor that had not run in years, I found that the valve in the pump was seized. Once I got oil pressure the engine became very difficult to turn over. Spark plugs are removed. Any advice?

One issue that can happen with low oil pressure on a CB750 engine is damaged cam bearings. I use a sharpie to number the bearing caps and mark the front so that I reinstall them in the correct order and orientation. Remove the valve cover, then remove each cam bearing cap one at a time. Look where the cam rides on the bearing cap for galling.

Hard to turn over with the starter, or by kicking it..???
Build it the way you want it ..... then learn how to ride it like you own it..

If you can get a bore scope and look in the cylinders, you may have had rusty cyl walls and the pistons could be binding from the rust scraped off .
What do you do when you have a billion dollar idea but no money to build the prototype?

Went out to try to turn it over again, cranked over hard for just a second and she fired up. Now it turns over normally. Hope something was just stuck and nothing is broke. But for the time being she is running. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and suggestions.
