I was wondering why the move to the new forums... and the resulting adds?

It was nice that the old forums were able to migrates, but I am not liking the adds or the new color scheme...

It wasn't my choice. It just appeared this way a few days ago. I suppose this forum works better with phones and such.

Thanks,

Bruce,

It looks like it is $5 per month to get rid of the adds...

I'll look into it.  With Yuku, I paid them for the message board to be ad free for those who had registered.  Then they did this switch.  I wonder what happened to the money I paid them for it. I didn't really pay attention because I didn't see any ads after I signed in.

Thanks,
Bruce Hirst

Just for reference, I haven't seen a single ad since the switch. Maybe I'm lucky?

It looks like Yuku's owners decided to pull the plug on the old platform, probably for maintenance reasons.

My adblocker is effective, for what it's worth.

Bruce, perhaps this is a good opportunity to touch up the forum structure. This forum seems to need a "General" section for threads like this one, and it bothers me that some sections are named in Title Case, while others are in Sentence case.

I have not seen any ads since the migration.  I have ad-blocker, but it leaves the ad placeholder if there was one.   I see no placeholders either.

I get ads on my phone but not on my home computer where I have ad blocker.

I am however having a little trouble posting.  I just joined the forum this year and was just getting used to yuku and now that's all gone.
I am trying to post some pictures of a work in progress but I'm having trouble with the pictures.  I don't think I am doing it right, because it is limiting me to 3 pictures.  I guess I could do a series of posts, but it seems weird.

Any help here would be appreciated.

Maybe you should host your picts somewhere else. Imgur is a good choice. And then you show them from here.
