The pods are Mega Blok"Plasma Tech" mech pods I picked up a number of years ago.

The arms that hold the pods above the iris door are scratch built from Plastruct styrene. The hydraulic hose (not attached yet in the next pic) is greenstuff.

I think I have some additional pics on the blog.

I think I already mentioned it somewhen, but just in case: best Space Hulk ever ! Truly inspiring and so well designed and painted. I love it.

I finished up a new board section fairly recently. This was made for the Lead Adventure Forum 'Build Something' contest. This year's theme was 'Ill Advised", so I decided to make the Space Hulk dangerous plant repository that I'd had in mind to do for years now. As was the case with the escape pods, I used quite a lot of Hirst pieces from several different molds, with a lot of other components and some scratch built stuff.

This was a pretty fun build. I'm hoping to run a convention game in the fall, with some side/mini missions that use the custom sections I've made.

Would you mind if I added a couple of these photos to the gallery page? If so, and you would like your actual name listed on the page as well, send me an e-mail letting me know your name and possibly some additional information you would like listed under the photos when posted there.

Thanks,
Bruce Hirst

Woooo... I had not lurked here for two weeks and i'm deeply impressed.

I DO LOVE your escape pods, at first. They are just wonderfull. And they always give a fatalistic ambiance... :)

The plant room is great too. I'm less fond of it but frankly you did a wonderfull job here. The removeable part brings something, clearly.

What comes next ?

That's a good question... I want to make some more sections that have the mossy/slimy green look.

I've been working on some custom pieces for a library, so that will likely be the next major component. I designed some shelves in Tinkercad and had Shapeways print them, then I started casting in resin. I'm using Hirst books from the inn mold.
